1.Clinical study of organic impairment in neonates with asphyxia
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To evaluate the incidence and degree of organic impairment after neonatal asphyxia, analyze the high risk factors of this and find a new approach to lower the mortality of asphyxia. Methods Two hundred and twenty-two newborns with asphyxia were studied. They were divided into mild asphyxia group and severe asphyxia group, and the function of main organs were classified as mild and severe, too. Chi-square tests were conducted for statistical analysis. Results The incidences of organic impairment and multi-organ impairment with asphyxia were 90.1 % and 71.6 % respectively. The frequency of organ dysfunction in severe asphyxia was significantly higher than that of mild group(P

Objective To investigate the effects of selective cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) inhibitor nimesulide on the proliferation of colon adenocarcinoma cells in vitro and the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2).Methods The human colon cancer cell lines HT-29 and HCT-116 were employed in the study, grouped as nimesulide group,DMSO control group and blank control group. After treatment with nimesulide, the inhibitory effect of nimesulide on the proliferation of cancer cells was quantified by MTT assay, and the expression of MMP-2 in the cells was detected by quantitative zymography. Results Nimesulide inhibited the proliferation of HT-29 and HCT-116 cells in time and dose-dependent manners. The inhibitory effect on HT-29 cells was stronger than that on HCT-116 cells.Nimesulide down-regulated the MMP-2 expression in HT-29 cells, whereas the expression in HCT-116 cells remained unchanged. Conclusion Nimesulide can obviously inhibit the growth of colon cancer HT-29 cells with positive COX-2 protein, suggesting that nimesulide may down-regulate the expression of MMP-2 by inhibiting the activity of COX-2.

Objective To evaluate the potential roles of celecoxib on proliferation and cell cycle progression of colon adenocarcinoma cells and on the hepatic metastasis of nude mice. Methods The human colon cancer cells HT-29 and HCT-116 were employed in the study. After treatment with celecoxib, the inhibitory effects of celecoxib on the proliferation of cancer cells were quantified by MTT assay, and the cell cycle progression was detected by flow cytometry, tumor cells were inoculated in nude mice, and the hepatic metastasis was detected. Results ①Celecoxib inhibited the proliferation of the tumor cells in time and dose-dependent manners (P

Objective To investigate the dosage and safety of insulin aspart in continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion plus oral antidiabetic drugs for the treatment of hyperglycemia in elderly hip fracture. Methods Patients with hip fracture and hyperglycemia who required insulin pump therapy were divided into 2 groups according to age:elderly group (patients aged over 65 years,n=42) and non-elderly group (patients aged under 65 years,n=43).All patients were treated with insulin aspart in continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion plus oral antidiabetic drugs combined with diet therapy.Dosages of aspart insulin and adverse effects were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in basic aspart dosage and additional premeal dosage between elderly and non-elderly groups [(0.29±0.09) IU/kg vs.(0.30±0.07) IU /kg,(0.27±0.09) IU/kg vs.(0.27±0.07) IU/kg,both P>0.05].The incidences of hypoglycemia with and without symptoms in elderly versus non-elderly groups were 4.8% vs.4.7% and 14.3% vs.18.6%,which had no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05).Hypoglycemia accompanied by consciousness disorders, allergy, nonhealing and slow healing wounds were not found in the two groups. The ratio of oral antidiabetic drugs including metformin, glimepiride, and glycosidase inhibitor had no differences between the two groups. Conclusions Aspart insulin in continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion is effective and safe in the treatment of acute severe hyperglycemia in elderly patients with hip fractures when combined with diet therapy and oral antidiabetic drugs.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2016;48(1):183-186
SUMMARY Herewereportedapatientwithwarfarin-inducedautoimmunehepatitis(AIH),andex-plored new concerns for the pharmaceutical care of warfarin.A 57-year-old woman was admitted to hospi-tal for repeated anorexia, abdominal pain and abnormal liver function. She received prosthetic heart valve replacement because of rheumatic heart disease, and had started warfarin medication since 2 years before. Her liver function was elevated with highest alanine aminotransferase 861 U/L, aspertate aminotransferase 604 U/L,and total bilirubin 1 06.7 μmol/L.Her anticoagulant therapy was switched to low molecular weight heparin and the liver function returned to normal. The liver function was elevated when she started to take warfarin again. The patient was then on liver protection therapy, and warfarin was stopped again for the liver biopsy for diagnosis reason.Through medication consultation and evalua-tion,pharmacists were invited to work together with the physicians and helped to differentiate the reason for abnormal liver function, and provided therapeutic suggestions. Also the pharmacists gained experiences in the treatment of AIH,and discovered a new and severe adverse drug reaction for warfarin. In treating this case, the pharmacists’active involvement into the treatment and evaluation of the effect on the patient reflected the advantage and importance of the multidisciplinary cooperation for pharmacists and physicians when complex diseases are faced.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(5):670-675
Objective ·To study changes of morphological characteristics of pituitary glands Objective · To study changes of morphological characteristics of pituitary glandsin normal adults by high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods · A total of 245 healthy adults were scanned by 3.0T MRI to measurewidths, lengths, heights and volumes of pituitary glands and observe pituitary gland morphology. Results · The average height of pituitary was (5.47±1.33) mm inmales and (6.06±1.32) mm in females; the average volume of pituitary was (614.07±125.52) mm3 in males and (660.00±117.35) mm3 in females. The difference betweenthe genders was statistically significant (P<0.01). The pituitary height was positively related to the pituitary volume (r=0.829,P<0.01). Except the pituitary lengths, there was statistically significance in the pituitary widths, heights and volumes among different age groups (P<0.05), and all of them were negatively correlated with age (P<0.01). Conclusion · The pituitary heights and volumes peak in the 18-29 age group in adults and tend to decline with increased age. In female subjects, however, there is a tendency of pituitary heights and volumes to increaseagain in the 50-59 age group. The average height and volume of female pituitary glands are significantly greater than those of males.
