Objective To study the effect of heart function and histopathology after coronary vein bypass grafting. Methods 16 pigs were divided into experimental group and control group.Following 16 pig models of chronic myocardial isehemia of left ventri- cle were established, the left internal mammary artery (LIMA)-great cardiac vein (GCV) anastomasis in 8 pigs were completed 4 week later. After GCV occlusion at proximal, retrograde coronary venous perfusion was afforded. At 8 week, coronary angiography,echo- cardiography and myocardial radioisotope scanning were performed. After harvesting these hearts, histopathologic examination and electron microscope were undertaken. Results All anastomotic vessels of experimental pigs were smooth.LVEF in experimental group was significant higher than that in control group (P

Background:X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) is a vital factor in the anti-apoptosis mechanism of tumors and is highly expressed in renal cell carcinoma (RCC).However, the mechanism through which XIAP regulates DNA damage repair is unknown. This study investigated the regulatory mechanism of XIAP in etoposide-induced apoptosis in two Caki-1 cell lines with high or low XIAP expression. Methods:The two cell lines were established using RNA interference technology. The differentially expressed proteins in the two cell lines were globally analyzed through an isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation-based quantitative proteomics approach.Proteomic analysis revealed 255,375,362,and 5 differentially expressed proteins after 0,0.5,3,and 12 h of drug stimulation, respectively, between the two cell lines. The identified differentially expressed proteins were involved in numerous biological processes. In addition, the expression of histone proteins (H1.4,H2AX,H3.1,H3.2,and H3.3) was drastically altered, and the effects of XIAP silencing were accompanied by the marked downregulation of H2AX.Protein-protein interactions were assessed and confirmed through immunofluorescence and Western blot analyses. Results:The results suggested that XIAP may act as a vital cell signal regulator that regulates the expression of DNA repair-related proteins, such as H2AX,and influences the DNA repair process. Conclusions:Given these functions,XIAP may be the decisive factor in determining the sensitivity of RCC cell apoptosis induction in response to chemotherapeutic agents.

BACKGROUND: A series of basic researches have confirmed that, the olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation can promote spinal cord regeneration and recover some neurological functions of spinal cord in animal models of spinal cord injury. Some clinical trials also prove that transplantation of olfactory ensheathing cells can indeed improve neurological function in patients with spinal cord injury, and then improve their quality of life.OBJECTIVE: To verify the effectiveness and safety of olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation in repair of neurological function of spinal cord injury patients.METHODS: The aborted embryonic olfactory bulb was collected and digested into single olfactory ensheathing cells. After they were cultured and purified 2 weeks, olfactory ensheathing cell suspension was prepared.A total of 213 cases of spinal cord injury were selected.Under general anesthesia, the prepared olfactory ensheathing cell suspension was injected through several target sites surrounding the injured spinal cord.ASIA scale was used to assay the patients before transplantation,3 weeks to 2 months after transplantation,so as to evaluate spinal cord recovery.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The spinal cord nerve function in all patients altered to different degrees at 3 weeks postoperation.Spinal cord function score, the sensory and motor functions were significantly increased compared with preoperation(P < 0.001),and showed a trend of continuous improvement with time; the patients were visited as follow-up for no more than 5 years, and no impairment of the restored nervous function or transplant adverse reactions were observed. It is confirmed that olfactory ensheathing cell transplantation can promote the recovery of nerve function in patients with spinal cord injury,it can restore and improve some spinal cord functions, and the treatment is safe.

It review the structure-function relationship of natural anthraquinone derivatives from Radix et Rhizoma Rhei. The anthraquinone derivatives had many identical activities because they have the identical mother nucleus; but the strength of their activities were different, because they have different substitution groups. The anthraquinone derivatives shown the obvious structure-function relationship in many respects, such as antioxygenation, antibiosis, anticancer, the influence of immunity and so on.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the effect of three-dimensional (3D) laparoscopic total thyroidectomy combined with central lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer and its effect on the inflammatory response of the patients.
METHODSThe clinical data were analyzed in 90 patients with thyroid cancer undergoing radical thyroidectomy at our hospital between September, 2013 to April, 2016, including 30 receiving 3D laparoscopic surgeries, 30 with 2D laparoscopic surgeries and 30 with open surgeries. The surgical data, postoperative adverse reactions and the impact of the surgeries on the inflammatory responses of the patients were compared among the 3 groups.
RESULTSCompared with the open surgery and 2D laparoscopic surgery, 3D laparoscopic surgery was associated with lowered blood loss during the surgery and a lowered incidence of adverse reactions. The operation time in 3D group was significantly shorter than that in 2D group (P<0.05), but the total hospitalization expenses were similar between the two groups. The postoperative drainage volume did not differ significantly between the 3D group and the other two groups. The postoperative hospital stay, number of lymph nodes dissected, positivity rate of lymph nodes and the inflammatory response showed no significant differences among the 3 groups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSION3D laparoscopic total thyroidectomy combined with central lymph node dissection is safe and effective and reduces intraoperative blood loss and perioperative adverse reactions without significant influence on inflammatory response in patients with thyroid cancer.

Objective To provide medication references for children with new cryptococcal meningitis with nephrotic syndrome. Methods The clinical pharmacists participate in formulation of treatment plans, and monitor the curative effect of anti-infective treatment, intracranial pressure depressing, and nephrotic syndrome treatment during therapy. They should adjust the usage and dosage of nephrotoxic drugs by monitoring patients' renal function and electrolyte condition, and propose individualized drug administration advices according to patients' conditions and adverse reactions. Results and conclusion The anti-cryptococcus treatment was effective, the nephrotic syndrome was stable, the symptoms of intracranial hypertension were improved, hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia were corrected, and the renal function impairment was not aggravated. The clinical pharmacists' combining of pharmaceutical theory with clinical practice received clinicians'recognition, and promoted children's medication safety and rational drug use.

Objective To observe the risk factors of the short-term prognosis of anti-N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (anti-NMDAR) encephalitis. Methods The clinical data of 66 children with anti-NMDAR encephalitis was analyzed retrospectively, and the scores of modified Rankin scale (mRS) were used before and after treatment.According to the treatment results, the children with mRS less than or equal to 2 points were used as treatment group, those with mRS score more than 3 points were set as the control group.Single factor and multiple factor Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the risk factors of poor prognosis. Results Of the 66 cases,39 had good prognosis and 27 had poor prognosis. The results of single factor analysis showed that age, days of hospitalization, epilepsy, dyskinesia,mRS scores score were associated with poor prognosis.Multiple factor Logistic regression analysis showed that age, epileptic seizures, and mRS scores before treatment were independent risk factors for the short-term prognosis of anti-NMDAR encephalitis. Conclusion Patients with anti-NMDAR encephalitis have small age, seizures and high mRS scores before treatment, which may predict poor prognosis in the near future.
