Formation of malignant tumor originating from normal healthy cell is a multistep process including genetic and epigenetic lesions. Previous studies of cell line model systems displayed that early important epigenetic events happened in stepwise fashion prior to cell immortalization. Once these epigenetic alterations are integrated into chromatin, they will perform vertical propagation through cell subculture. Hence, status of epigenetics is dramatically important in maintaining of cell identity. Histone modification is another factor of epigenetic alterations during human oncogenesis. Histones, one of main components of chromatin, can be modified post-translationally. Histone tail modifications are regulated by corresponding modification enzymes. This review focuses on the description of relationship between the main sites of histone modification and oncogenesis.

The imaging findings of pelvic lipomatosis as confirmed by operation and pathology were examined in 1 case and two follow-up asymptomatic cases retrospectively analyzed.The imaging findings included a compressed and deformed bladder with a superior displacement.Its shape was like an inverted tear and pear in coronal view and a banana in sagittal view.Bilateral ureters were both compressed with a medial deviation.And bilateral ureters were dilated with hydronephrosis in 1 case.Rectum and sigmoid were both compressed and became narrowed.The clinical manifestations included frequent urination , urgent urination , urination pain, dysuria, constipation, nausea, vomit and fever in 1 case while another 2 cases stayed asymptomatic.

Objective To explore the occurrence of diaphragmatic muscle fatigue(DMF) in children with pneumonia and its relationship with respiratory failure.Methods One hundred and twenty-six cases of pneumonia(pneumonia group) and 60 healthy children(healthy control group) were selected,and 2K-V1 type intelligence electric impedance respirograph was used to measure diaphragmatic function of the children in both groups to find if the ribcage-abdomen motion was synchronic and to calculate M levels.The abdomen impedance values as X-axis were calculated,which were regarded,and the chest impedance values as Y-axis were calcaulated,which described two-dimensional chart of ribcage-abdomen motion curve and the ? angle which was between connection of maximum X value to the smallest X value and the X-axis were calculated.According to the changes of chest-abdominal curve in one-dimensional chart and the changes of M value and ? angle,the degree of the diaphragmatic muscle fatigue was judged.Results There were 98 cases of DMF in the 126 children with pneumonia,and 68 cases of which were type Ⅰ DMF,and 30 cases were type Ⅱ DMF.One-dimensional chart showed contradictory chest-abdominal respiratory motional curve,and two-dimensional chart moved in a clockwise direction.M value was(46.1?8.4)%,? angle was(136.7?12.0) degrees in children with type Ⅰ DMF;One-dimensional chart showed that the peak value of chest-abdominal respiratory motional curve dislocates,and two-dimensional chart moved in a counter-clockwise direction.M value was(17.2 ? 3.2)%,? angle was(48.2 ? 9.5) degrees in children with type Ⅱ DMF;the control group had M value(4.3 ? 1.0)%,? angle was(31.7 ? 5.2) degree.There were significant differences in M value and ? angle between type Ⅰ DMF children,type Ⅱ DMF children and healthy children(Pa

Purpose To investigate the value of arterial spin labeling (ASL) in evaluating renal function in patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.Materials and Methods Fifteen patients with RCC undergoing laparoscopic partial nephrectomy were studied prospectively.The patients were performed ASL scan one week before and three months after operation.The correlation between renal blood flow (RBF) value measured by ASL and the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measured by radionuclide method in the renal cortex of healthy side was analyzed.The RBF values in the kidney of affected side or healthy side were measured,the difference of which between before operation and three months after operation was compared.Results The RBF value and GFR data in the renal cortex of healthy side had positive correlation (r=0.638,P＜0.05).In the affected side of kidney,the RBF value of remaining renal tissue [(291.5 ± 37.3) ml/(100g·min)] compared with that of preoperative renal tissue [(237.8 ± 46.2) ml/(100g·min)]increased about 53.7 ml/(100g · min) (P＜0.05).In the healthy side of kidney,the RBF value of renal tissue [(241.1 ± 50.3) ml/(100 g · min)] compared with that of preoperative renal tissue [(290.4 ± 51.8) ml/(100 g·min)] decreased about 49.3 ml/(100 g·min) (P＜0.05).Conclusion ASL can be used to evaluate renal function,and it is valuable to evaluate renal perfusion function after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy of RCC.

Objective To measure the angular velocity and perpendicular ground reaction force of the ankle joint under different heights with half-squat jumping in parachute training simulation,providing a reliable experiment basis for the preventing of ankle injury.Methods A total of 18 volunteers participated in this study.The experimental group included 9 male with experience of parachute landing,while the other 9 male without experience of parachute landing were assigned to the control group.Each subject was instructed to jump off a platform with a height of 30 cm and 60 cm and land on a hard surface in a half-squat posture.The dynamic landing process was recorded with a high speed camera and the biomechanical data was collected and analyzed,including perpendicular ground reaction force,angular displacement,velocity and acting time.Results From 30 cm's height,the ankle angular displacement of the control group was significantly larger than the experimental group (25.73°± 8.13° vs 20.05°± 12.27°,P ＜ 0.05).The perpendicular ground reaction force of the control group was significantly smaller than the experimental group (3 372.4±748.6 N vs 5 181.5±1 726.2 N,P ＜ 0.05).The acting time of the control group was significantly longer than the ex perimental group (0.049±0.015 s vs 0.012±0.004 s,P ＜ 0.05).The buffer time of the control group was significantly shorter than the experimental group (1.397±0.746 s vs 1.737±0.451 s,P ＜ 0.05).From 60 cm's height,the ankle angular velocity of the control group was significantly higher than the experimental group (25.45± 15.01 °/s vs 16.51 ±4.18 °/s,P ＜ 0.05).The perpendicular ground reaction force of the control group was significantly smaller than the experimental group (4 616.0±1 124.7 N vs 7 119.5±2 307.4 N,P ＜ 0.05).The acting time of the control group was significantly longer than the experimental group (0.048±0.013 s vs 0.015±0.006 s,P ＜ 0.05).The buffer time of the control group was significantly shorter than the experimental group (0.922±0.347 s vs 1.617±0.547 s,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Jumping from different heights,the experinental group was larger in perpendicular ground reaction force but smaller in the angular velocity and displacement than the control group.There was a shorter acting time and a longer buffer time in the experimental group than the control group.

Objective To study the transduction efficiency of expressing human neprilysin by using a lentiviral vector (Lenti-NEP) in mouse embryonic neural stem cells (NSC) in vitro.Methods Primary NSC were harvested from C57BL/6J pregnant mouse at embryonic day 11.5 and transducted with LentiNEP.Immunofluorescent stainingand Western blot were performed to detect NEP protein expression in NSC.Degradation of amyloid beta 1-40 (Aβ1-40) by NEP protein transduced with Lenti-NEP in NSC was analyzed using ELISA and HPLC.Results Over 90％ NSC were successfully transduced with Lenti-NEP via observation of fused protein green fluorescent protein under the microscopy.Expressions of NEP transduced with Lenti-NEP in NSC and of the markers of NSC (nestin) and neuron (MAP2).The enzyme activity of 2.5 μg (21.00 ± 2.51) and 1.0 μg (15.00 ± 0.54) NEP on degrading Aβ1-40 was shown to improve significantly compared to 0.5 μg NEP(8.00 ±0.81,t =40.4 and 12.7,respectively,both P ＜0.01).The activity of NEP was inhibited in the presence of 50 μmol/L phosphoramidon (0.5 pg:0.08 ±0.01 ;1.0 μg:0.04 ±0.01 ;2.5 μg:0.05 ±0.01,t =17.2,51.3 and 14.1,respectively,all P ＜0.01).The hydrolytic cleavage on degrading Aβ1-40 by NEP was 11.4％,28.4％ and 93.7％ with incubation for 1 h,4 h and 12 h,respectively.Conclusions Lentiviral vector successfully delivers NEP gene to NSC in vitro.Targeting on NEP and NSC may provide potential therapeutic tool for Alzheimer' s disease.

Objective To analyze the variations of glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 1 like gene (GPD1-L) and address the association with sudden m anhood death syndrom e (SMDS). Methods The genom ic DNA was extracted from blood sam ples of the SMDS group and the norm alcontrolgroup.The exons, exon-in-tron boundaries and 3′-U TRs of coding region of GPD1-L w ere PCRam plified and DNAsequenced di-rectly to confirm the types of variations. The genotype frequency and allele frequency w ere analyzed statistically. Results There w ere tw ovariants in the SMDS group, c.465C>Tand c.*18G>T, the latter existed certain degree difference of genotype distribution and allele frequency betw een the SMDS group and the control group, but there was no statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion The relation be-tw een gene m utation of GPD1-L and the occurrence of Chinese SMDS deserves a further research.

Objective To investigate the antimicrobial resistance of clinical isolates from a hospital in Chongqing during one year according to CHINET project.Methods Disc diffusion test (K-B method) was employed to study the antimicrobial resistance. WHONET5 was used for data analysis.Results In one year period from 2004 to 2005,690 non-duplicate isolates were collect- ed.Enterobacter isolates showed the lowest resistance rate to imipenem and meropenem.About 37.5% of E.coli and 31.4% of K.pneumoniae isolates produced ESBLs,respectively.All ESBLs-producing strains were susceptible to imipenem and mer- openem.About 37.2%,39.4% and 48.9% of P.aeruginosa isolates were resistant to imipenem,meropenem and ceftazidime, respectively.Pandrug-resistant (PDR) P.aeruginosa was isolated from our hospital.All strains of A.baumannii were sus- ceptible to imipenem and meropenem.About 37.7% of A.baumannii were resistant to cefoperazone-sulbactam.Twenty-nine strains showed the same resistant pattern among non-susceptible strains of A.baumannii,mainly derived from 2 clones by PFGE analysis.Conclusions The surveillance results suggest that prevalent strain resistant to cefoperazone-sulbactam may pres- ent in some ICUs.Resistance rate to cefoperazone-sulbactam increased significantly.

Objective To study the technique and clinical significance of percutaneous biopsy of transplanted liver guided by CT.Methods 19 transplanted liver were undergone 25 times of percutaneous biopsy and the pathomorphologic changes were demonstrated by HE staining.Results The successful rate of the percutaneous biopsy was 100% for all the 25 times of this procedure,including acute rejection on 9 episodes,preservation perfusion retrauma in 6,bile duct strictures in 4,drug-induced injury in 4,chronic rejection in 1 and acute hepatic necrosis in 1.Conclusions CT-guided percutaneous biopsy is an important method for diagnosing transplanted liver injury and providing great value for distinguishment of the causes for transplanted liver injury.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:855-857)
