2.Protective effect of glycine on the lung injury in acute necrotizing pancreatitis in rats
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the protective effects of glycine on the lung injury in acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP). Methods Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: sham operation, ANP group, pretreated group and treatment group(with intravenous glycine 1g/kg). Serum TNF ? level, glutathione (GSH) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) in pulmonary homogenate were determined at 6, 12, and 24h hours after ANP induced. Pulmonary pathology and 3 day survival rate were compared between the groups. Results Compared with ANP group,in glycine pretreated group serum TNF ? level significantly reduced at 6,12, and 24h,while in glycine treatment group serum TNF ? level decreased at 24-hour . In glycine pretreated group or treatment group, the pulmonary GSH content were decreased. In both glycine pretreated group and glycine treatment group, pulmonary MPO activity decreased at 12 and 24h,and pulmonary pathologic severity significantly ameliorated and survival rate increased. Conclusions Although glycine can not increase the GSH synthesis, but giving prophylactic or therapeutic glycine may be effective in improving acute lung injury in ANP, probably through the inhibition of the infiltration and activation of leukocytes.

Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2006;0(04):-
[Objective] To evaluate the effect of Tiepi Fengdou Granule(TFG) as adjuvant treatment in cancer patients during chemotherapy.[Methods] Twenty patients were treated with TFG,and then we added up integral calculus of Yin Deficiency symptoms, tested blood routine, hepatic and renal function and subgroup of T-cell and NK cell.[Results] The Yin Deficiency symptoms of 7 cases(35%) were improved significantly, and 13 cases were partly improved(65%).Each integral calculus of Yin Deficiency symptoms was descended. The tested blood routine, hepatic function and subgroup of T-cell and NK cell were changed significantly.[Conclusions] TFG could control the symptoms of Yin Deficiency and improve immune function for cancer chemotherapy patients.
4.Thinking on acupuncture depth.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(1):81-86
With acupuncture depth as a perspective, some related issues are discussed in this paper. Firstly, the possible reasons of divergence on needling depth are explained. Secondly, by literature retrieval, the advantages and disadvantages of the clinical efficacy of deep needling and shallow needling are explored, and the essential value of shallow needling is emphasized in promoting acupuncture. Thirdly, due to the placebo acupuncture that led to the controversy of the curative effect of acupuncture, it is crucial to establish a method of modern system of scientific research which should be suitable for the development of acupuncture. Finally, the "cun" in acupuncture is inappropriate to transform into millimeter, and the standardization of acupuncture should focus on the improvement of curative efficacy. From the acupuncture depth, it is clear that there are plenty of problems in acupuncture, which could not only limit the development of acupuncture, but also affect the future of acupuncture.

Objective To investigate the effect of 18F-fluoro-deoxy-2-glucose hybrid positron emission tomography images combined CT image(I8F-FDG PET-CT) on gross target volumes in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Forty six patients with pathological defined NSCLC were included in the study. All patients were divided into three groups according to image features; lymphatic metastasis group(18 cases) , ate-lectasis group( 16 cases) , solitary focus group(12 cases). The gross target volumes by CT and by PET-CT (GTVct and GTVPET_CT)were compared with volume differentials and coherence. We also compared the coherence among the three groups. Results The median GTVCT and median GTVPET-CT of atelectasis group was 160.813 cm3 and 108.838 cm3(t = 13.592,P<0.05). The median GTVCT and median GTVPET-CT of lymphatic metastasis group was 65.233 cm3 and 84. 367cm3 (t = 2. 768, P < 0.05 ). In the solitary focus group , median GTVCT was 21.7 cm3,and median GTVPET-CT was 19.6 cm3 (t =0. 684,P >0.05). There was statistic difference in coherence among the three groups (lymphatic metastasis group 0.561, atelectasis group 0. 698, solitary focus group 0.740). Conclusion There are varying degrees of difference between GTVCT and GTVPET-CT in both volume differentials and coherence . Compared to CT, PET-CT could improve the accuracy of radio-therapy. Patients with lymphatic metastasis would most likely benefit from it.

Objective To investigate the effects of rosiglitazone on the endothelial regeneration and neointimal formation after balloon injury in rat aortic. Methods Endothelial denudation of aorta in SD rats were performed with 2 F Fogarty balloon catheter.Male Rats were randomly divided into the sham-operated group, the control group, and the RSG group.Aortic tissues were harvested 7 days and 14 days after the injury. The endothelial regeneration rate, serum NO level,IA/MA ratio and PCNA expression index were detected. Results RSG enhanced the reendothelialization of the injured aorta determined by Evans blue staining. The RA/TA ratio on the 7~(th) day and the 14~(th) day were 38.20% and 75.20%(P

Objective To investigate the effect of hyperbaric oxygen ( HBO) preconditioning on activation of plasma protein C in a rat model of asphyxial cardiac arrest?resuscitation. Methods A total of 105 adult male Sprague?Dawley rats, aged 70-90 days, weighing 260-320 g, were randomly divided into 3 groups: cardiac arrest group ( group CA, n=5) , cardiac arrest?resuscitation group ( group CA∕R, n=50) , and hyperbaric oxygen preconditioning group ( group H, n=50 ) . Cardiac arrest was induced by campling the endotracheal tube at the end of expiration. The animals underwent HBO preconditioning once a day for 3 consecutive days before cardiac arrest was induced in group H. The rats were placed in the HBO chamber, 10 min later the pressure was increased at a constant rate until the hyperbaric oxygen reached 2 atmosphere absolute, and maintained at this level for 45 min, after the oxygen concentration>95%, and then the pressure was decreased at a constant rate ( within 20 min) until the normal pressure was reached. The rats underwent no resuscitation in group CA. Five rats were selected from CA∕R and H groups at 3, 6, 12 and 24 h after restoration of spontaneous circulation, and at 30 min of cardiac arrest in group CA, and blood samples were taken from the abdominal aorta for determination of the plasma activated protein C ( APC) concentrations. The time from asphyxia to cardiac arrest, time for spontaneous regular cardiac rhythm, and successful resuscitation were recorded. Results Compared with group CA, the plasma APC concentrations were significantly decreased at each time point after restoration of spontaneous circulation in CA∕R and H groups ( P<0.05) . Compared with group CA∕R, the time from asphyxia to cardiac arrest was significantly prolonged, the time for spontaneous regular cardiac rhythm was shortened, the success rate of resuscitation was increased, and the plasma APC concentrations were increased at each time point after restoration of spontaneous circulation in group H ( P<0. 05 ) . Conclusion HBO preconditioning can promote activation of plasma protein C after resuscitation in a rat model of asphyxial cardiac arrest, and is helpful in improving hypercoagulation.
