Chongqing Medicine 2015;(10):1355-1357
Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of autogenous coronoid process reengineering condylar arthroplasty with simultaneous genioplasty for the correction of temporomandibular joint(TMJ)ankylosis accompanying micrognathia. Methods 21 cases of TMJ ankylosis with micrognathia from July 2003 to January 2012 were treated by autogenous coronoid process re-engineering condylar arthroplasty with simultaneous genioplasty. The follow-up period was 24 months to 8 years.TMJ function, mouth opening, occlusion, facial contour and the imaging manifestations were evaluated. Results After observation of follow-up,19 cases were improved obviously in the mandibular movement and mouth opening. Two cases had the recurrence of TMJ ankylosis. The facial appearance in all cases was significantly improved compared with before operation and the occlusal relationship had no large change compared with before operation. The coracoid process and mandibular ramus reached bone union with good reconstruc-tion by the panoramic radiographs.Compared with preoperation;the cephalometric results showed that the facial contour and process had statistical differences between postoperation and preoperation(P <0.05).Conclusion Autogenous coronoid process re-engineering condylar arthroplasty with simultaneous genioplasty can treat TMJ ankylosis accompanying micrognathia.

of left and right side cerebral cortical veins was 159.16(154.88-164.13)ppb(× 10-9), 164.61(156.23-168.04) ppb, respectively. The median susceptibility (extent) of left and right side thalamostriate veins was 160.51 (152.14-170.06) ppb, 162.48(153.47-173.66)ppb, respectively. Left were less than the right, and the difference was statistically significant (Z=-3.14,-2.02, P<0.05). And the difference of two side of other cerebral venous susceptibility had no statistical significance. The median susceptibility (extent) of right cerebral cortical veins, left thalamostriate veins and right septal veins of 22 male was 166.22(159.21-169.99) ppb, 168.65(159.19-174.45)ppb and 153.42(148.10-161.78)ppb, respectively. The coresponding positions of median susceptibility (extent) of 38 female was 161.10(155.06-167.15)ppb, 157.70(151.53-164.41)ppb and 147.52(142.94- 154.16)ppb, respectively. The susceptibility of right cerebral cortical vein, left thalamostriate vein, right septal vein of male was significantly different from the females (Z=-2.03,-2.20,-2.33, P<0.05). Futhermore, we also found that there had positive correlation between age and right thalamostriate vein(r=0.28,P<0.05). Conclusion The magnetic sensitive of the right thalamostriate vein tends to increase along with the age, and some of peoples had difference with bilateral and age.
5.Expression of interleukin-9 in murine cornea with herpetic stromal keratitis
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(2):122-126
Background Herpetic stromal keratitis (HSK) is an immunopathologic eye disorder mediated by CD4+ T lymphocytes.Interleukin-9 (IL-9) is a cytokine linked to the process of many immune inflammatory diseases, but whether IL-9 is involved in the immunopathology of HSK remains unclear. Objective This study was to investigate the expression of IL-9 in murine cornea during the development of HSK and its relationship with the degree of HSK.Methods One hundred and eighty clean BALB/c mice were divided into the normal control group (20 mice) and experimental group (160 mice).HSK models were established by scratching on the surface of the cornea followed by inoculation of 1 × 106 plague forming unit(PFU) herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) KOS strain.Change of ocular surface was examined under the slit lamp biomicroscopy before and I day,3,5,7,8,10,14,21 days after inoculation of HSV-1.The corneas of mice were collected on the time points mentioned above. The relative expression level of IL-9 mRNA in the cornea of mice was detected by real-time PCR.Immunocytochemical localization of IL-9 protein in murine cornea was viewed by a confocal microscope after preparation of the corneal cryostat sections. All experimental manipulations were undertaken in accordance with the institutional guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals. Results Punctiform, dendriform or geographic defect in corneal epithelium were seen 3 days and healing 6 days after inoculation of HSV-1.However,edema and opacity of the corneal stroma appeared 7 days and peaked 14 days following the inoculation.Real-time PCR assay showed that very little of IL-9 mRNA (A260/A280) was expressed in the cornea in the mice of the control group. But in 1 day,3,5,7,8,10 and 14 days, the relative level of IL-9 mRNA was 6.37±0.45,5.66±0.53,3.93±0.35,3.62±0.34,3.23±0.18,2.57±0.14,2.19±0.20,with a significant difference among the various time points (F=92.764,P=0.000),and IL-9 mRNA in 1 day,3,5,7,8,10 and 14 days after inoculation was significantly higher than before inoculation (P<0.05);while no markedly difference was found in IL-9 mRNA expression between the 21-day group after inoculation and the normal control group (P =0.340).IL-9 protein was expressed in the epithelial layer, stromal layer and endothelial cell layer of the corneas, with a stronger green fluorescence in the HSK mice, but no expression of IL-9 protein was seen in the control mice. Conclusions HSK model can be successfully created by corneal scratching and inoculation of HSV-1 KOS strain in BALB/c mouse.IL-9 is involved in the pathogenesis and development of HSK mediated by immunoresponse.

Stigma is demeaning, insulting social psychology mark.In A dream of red mansions, there are a lot of description about stigma and its psychological effects.Stigma effect not only influences many people's daily life, but also determines the fate of the key figures. The stigma effects also has obvious interference on the patients' psychology during the medical treatment. Moreover, stigma also influences the effects of clinical treatment. Therefore, hospitals should create an equal, united, tolerant medical environment and atmosphere of doctor-patient communication, and promote the government and the public health system to take corresponding policy measures to improve the living conditions of persons of stigma.

Objective To explore a method for rapid bedside temporary pacing by the right internal jugular vein approach.Method The right internal jugular veni puncture was taken by Jernigan technique and self made J tipped introducer was introduced to get to the high right atrium by the vein approach, then the J curvature of the introducer at the distal end is turned and directed at the tricusped valve outside the body, the lead attached to external pacemaker was inserted and advanced through the introducer until continuous ventricular captures appeared on the fluoroscopy. Results 30 patients in total were paced rapidly and successfully at bedside without Roentgenography.Continuous right ventricular pacing was got within 1~3 (median 2) minutes from vein puncture and within 6~30(median 13) seconds after the placement of the introducer had been completed, respectively. Conclusions The rapid bedside temporary pacing can be performed safely and rapidly through the J tipped introducer by the right internal jugular vein approach without Roentgenography.

Translational medicine appears as a new branch of medicine, aiming at quickly transforming the basic research products into clinical application. Nowadays there is a trend that laboratory researches do not have a close relationship with clinical reality, which is facing the present medical research and education field. Herein translational medicine appeared to solve this fundamental conflict. In this paper, we will analyze the essence and status quo of translational medicine, and provide suggestion on the development of translational medicine from the perspective of medical research management.
