Objective To evaluate the feasibility of ~ 125 Iodine -labeled IL-2 scintigraphic methods for the imaging of lymphocyte infiltration of the Langerhans′ islets. Methods ~ 125 I-IL2 was injected intravenously to pre-diabetic female NOD mice (aged 16-17 weeks)and female Balb/c mice as control. Animals were sacrificed at different time points and the radioactivity in different organs was measured.~ 131 I-IL-2 was injected iv to 3 pre-diabetic female NOD mice, and pancreas was imaged through SPECT after 30 minutes injection. 4.A comparasion of clinical and financial aspects of laparoscopic versus open cholecystectomy

Objective To evaluate the safety,clinical and financial aspects of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC).Methods 278 cases undergone LC and 234 cases undergone open cholecystectomy(OC)were compared in retrospective study.Results LC was as safe as OC.In favour of LC,significant differences were observed regarding the time of severe pain,hospitalization and recovery.The total occurences of postoperative complications were low in all the patients undergone LC or OC,and its significantly lower in patients undergone LC than that in those undergone OC.Furthermore,the total charges for LC were significantly lower than that for OC.Conclusions LC is as safe as OC and has clan obvious advantage over OC in clinical,social and financial aspects.
5.Treatment by Slow-released salbuterol for patients with asthma

Objective In a RCT study, the safety and efficacy of sabot (a slow-release salbuteral) and volmax (controlled-release salbuterol) were compared in bronchial asthma. Methods 40 patients with moderate to severe asthma were randomly divided into two groups and treated by sabot or volmax for 2 weeks. The FEV1%, peak expiratory flow (PEF), symptom score and use of rescue ventolin were measured to evaluate the effect of treatment. Results After treatment FEV1%, PEF and symptom score improved and the need for inhaling short-acting beta 2-agonis in both groups reduced significantly. There was no difference of these improvement between two groups. Conclusion The safety and efficacy of sabot for treatment of asthma was similar to volmax.

This article introduced professor WANG Shu-chen's experience in picture treating bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with tougue picture as the key link. Patients with BOS showed deficiency of essence of tongue crack, which should be treated by warming kidney yang, replenishing essence and marrow; fester tongue for qi disorder, inflammation caused by fire, which should be treated by regulating qi, and clearing heat; exfoliative fur accumulation, which should be treated with blood stasis and toxin, removing blood stasis and toxin; thick and greasy fur, which should be treated by warming spleen and activating spleen.
7. Application of cone beam CT in preoperative planning for extraction of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth

Objective To compare the values of cone beam CT (CBCT) with panoramic radiograph in preoperative planning for extraction of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth. Methods Totally 97 patients with 135 wisdom teeth were assessed with panoramic radiograph, and 41 cases presenting 52 impacted wisdom teeth underwent additional CBCT scan were enrolled in this study. Preoperative planning was made for removal of bone, decapitating the crown, sectioning the root and direction of tooth luxation according to the information provided by panoramic radiograph and CBCT images. The results were processed statistically with SAS 9. 3. 1 software package for χ2 test. Results Compared with the panoramic radiograph, CBCT provided a more precise and quantitative guide for bone removal, root sectioning and direction of tooth luxation (P<0. 001). The two methods showed no significant difference in making decision of crown decapitating. Conclusion CBCT can provide comprehensive three-dimensional information during preoperative planning for the extraction of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth. An appropriate surgical approach, with correct tactics and methods may facilitate the operation, prevent impairment to adjacent structures and reduce surgical complications.

口腔鳞状细胞癌是头颈部常见的恶性肿瘤,化疗是其常规治疗手段之一,铂类化疗药物作为一线化疗药物应用于口 腔鳞状细胞癌的治疗中。然而化疗耐药极大地限制了铂类化疗药物的临床应用,因此阐明口腔鳞状细胞癌铂类化疗耐药的分子 机制具有十分重要的临床意义。本文从药物转运蛋白、DNA损伤修复、细胞凋亡、自噬、上皮间质转化和miRNA等方面综述了口 腔鳞状细胞癌铂类化疗耐药的分子机制,以期为逆转铂类耐药及相关肿瘤的生物治疗靶点的开发提供新的思路。
9.Efficacy of continuous low-dose cyclophosphamide and prednisone regimen in refractory multiple myeloma patients with severe heart failure.

OBJECTIVETo observe treatment response, survival, safety and the improvement of ECOG in patients with refractory multiple myeloma (MM) with serious heart failure after the administration of continuous low-dose of cyclophosphamide combined with prednisone (CP).
METHODSFrom January 2005 to September 2013, a total of 75 patients were treated by metronomic chemotherapy with continuous low-dose cyclophosphamide (50 mg/d) and prednisone (15 mg/d).
RESULTSAmong the 75 patients, 2 were lost for follow-up. In the 73 available patients, the overall response was 64.4%, including 2 patients (2.7%) with complete remission (CR), 4 cases (5.5%) very good partial remission (VGPR), and 24 patients (32.9%) partial remission (PR). The median survival was 12 months (1-70 months) with a median onset time of 90 days (16-120) and a median progressive freedom survival of 12 months (1-60). The level of B-type natriuretic peptide in responders declined significantly, as compared to no responders [(336.6 ± 30.3) ng/L vs (906.4 ± 104.8) ng/L, P<0.01]. Common adverse events were as follows: 32 (43.8%) cases of bone marrow suppression, 26 (35.6%) cases of infection, 8 cases of dizzy as well as sleepiness (11.0%), 7(9.6%) cases of Cushing syndrome, 4 (5.5%) cases of secondary diabetes mellitus, and 3 (4.1%) cases of edema respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe metronomic chemotherapy of cyclophosphamide combined with prednisone had satisfactory impact on the treatment outcome, including the improvement of cardiac functions and physical capacities, better survival and safety in refractory MM with serious heart failure. It provides a novel regimen for such patients.

10.Neurogenic motor evoked potential changes after acute experimental spinal cord i njury.

OBJECTIVE: To better understand the characte ristics of the neurogenic motor evoked potential (NMEP) before and after acute s pinal cord injury. METHODS: We recorded and characterized the spinal cord NMEP fro m 48 normal rats and from 38 rats with spinal cord hemisection lesion. Spinal co rd NMEPs were elicited by applying a range of current intensities with bipolar m icroelectrode stimuli to the C4 cord segment and recording the responses from sc iatic nerves with bipolar microelectrodes placed in the neurilemma. RESULTS: The evoked potentials consisted of three stable and re producible negative and three positive peaks. The meanplus minusSD latencies of N1 were 2.89plus minus0.22 ms on the right side and 2.89plus minus0.24 ms on th e left side. The mean conduction velocity was 47.9 m/s. The meanplus minusSD am plitudes of N1 were 3.61plus minus2.10 muV on the right side and 3.83plus minus2.3 2 muV on the left side. The amplitudes of N1 were signific antly different among the eight stimulus intensity groups (right side: F=2.22, df=7201, P=0.03; left side: F=2.11, df=7206, P=0.04). The amplitude was largest when the stimulus intensity was 1.1-2.5 mA. The latencies of N1 were not si gnificantly different among the eight stimulus intensity groups (right side: F=0.40, df=7201, P=0.9; left side: F=1.20, df=7206, P=0.3. The amplitudes and latencies of N2, N3 were not significantly different among the eight stimulus intensity groups. There were no significant changes in latency and amplitude between the left and the right side nerve responses. Thirty-eight rats underwent T9 cord right side hemisection. Among them, 20 (53%), 30 (79%), and 32 (84%) rats could not be reco rded in corresponding to N1, N2, and N3, respectively, in the right-side sciati c nerves; and 13 (79%), 18 (47%), and 21 (55%), in corresponding to N1, N2, and N3 in the left-side sciatic nerves. The latency was significantly delayed on th e both right and left sides. The amplitude N1 was significantly depressed on the both sides, with N3 significantly depressed on the right side and N2 not signif icantly depressed. CONCLUSIONS: The amplitude of N is significantly different amon g the eight stimulus intensity groups. The amplitude is largest when the stimulu s intensity is 1.1-2.5 mA. The light injury results in a significant la tency delay in N1, N2, and N3 waves and a significant amplitude attenuation in N1. The N1 amplitude is sensitive to the degree of the lesion and conducts bilate rally. N2 and N3 conduct mainly along the ipsilateral posterolaterial tracts in the rats.
