OBJECTIVETo construct and analyze the differential expression profiles of microRNAs (miRNA) and mRNA in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). To explore the miRNA and mRNA of OSCC development and progression.
METHODSThe differential expression profiles of miRNA and mRNA were built by high-throughput deep sequencing technology. Using Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis, the roles of differentially expressed miRNA and mRNA in cell cycle, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and cell apoptosis were analyzed.
RESULTSSeventy-seven differentially expressed miRNA and 1 298 differentially expressed mRNAs were identified in OSCC. GO analysis showed that 73 miRNA had found target mRNA in cell cycle, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and cell apoptosis of OSCC. Moreover, a miRNA could regulate multiple mRNA.
CONCLUSIONThe differential expression profiles of miRNA and mRNA have close relationship with the development and progression of OSCC.

Objective:To understand the epidemiological and etiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen City from 2019 to 2022 and to provide a scientific basis for HFMD prevention in the area. Methods:Epidemiological data on HFMD in Shenzhen Nanshan District from 2019 to 2022 in the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention were analyzed using descriptive research methods.Real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to analyze the etiology characteristics of clinical specimens from HFMD patients. The VP1 gene of the dominant pathogen coxsackievirus A6 (CV-A6) was amplified and sequenced. SepMan Pro of DNASTAR software was used for sequence assembly and MegAlign was used for nucleotide homology analysis. Results:A total of 13 195 HFMD cases were reported in Shenzhen Nanshan District from 2019 to 2022, with an average annual incidence rate of 186.18/100, 000. Summer and autumn are the main onset seasons and children under 7 years old were the main population, accounting for 93.1%. The male-to-female ratio is 1.44∶1. A total of 451 clinical HFMD specimens were detected in the laboratory, including 403 positive (87.36%) and 48 negative (10.64%). The main pathogens were CV-A6 (63.03%), coxsackievirus A16 (CV-A16) (27.79%), coxsackievirus A4 (CV-A4) (4.71%), coxsackievirus A10 (CV-A10) (1.99%), Echovirus 11 (Echo-11) (0.25%), and uncertain type accounted for 2.23%, with no detection for enterovirus71 (EV71) type. The nucleotide homology of the 13 CV-A6 strains ranged from 94.0%?99.6%, and the nucleotide homology with the prototype strain Gdula ranged 84.1%?85.8%. The results of phylogenetic tree showed that all 13 CV-A6 strains in Nanshan District were of the D3a genotype. Conclusions:FHFMD in Nanshan District of Shenzhen City in 2019-2022 shows obvious differences in population and time distribution. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and education on HFMD prevention and control in the summer and fall seasons and among key populations. CV-A6 and CV-A16 are the dominant strains of HFMD in Nanshan District, Shenzhen in recent years, so the monitoring of the dominant strains should be improved.

Objective To explore the application effects of“5S” management methods for management of first-aid articles in Blood Purification Center. Methods A total of 12 nurses were selected as objects of observation. Six months before and after the implementation of “5S” management, we observed and compared the time to finish the first aid measures, the average time to look for articles during first aid, round-trip times from deposition room, the score of nurses′ behavior of the occupational safety and prevention in emergency, times of sound condition of emergency equipment, the score of first-aid articles returned to their original places after emergency, the score of management quality control of first-aid articles and the patients′ satisfaction with nursing. Results After the implementation of “5S” management, the completion time of the rescue measures was shorter than before. At the same time, the rate of sound condition of emergency equipment and the score of first-aid articles returned their original places after emergency improved significantly. The average time to look for articles during first aid and round-trip times from deposition room all decreased significantly. The score of nurses′behavior of the occupational safety and prevention in emergency increased significantly. The score of management quality control of first-aid articles and the patients′ satisfaction with nursing all improved significantly. Differences were all statistically significant (P <0. 05). Conclusions The implementation of“5S” management reduces the difficulty in preservation and management of first-aid articles, shortens the execution time of rescue measures, improves the working efficiency of rescue, enhances the quality of nursing and patients′ satisfaction, improves the quality of nursing staff, ensures the nurse occupational safety and prevention and promotes the continuous improvement of nursing quality.

Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics and treatment efficacy of the first reported case of a Chinese boy with stimulator of interferon genes (STING) associated vasculopathy with onset in infancy (SAVI).Methods Sanger sequencing of the gene TMEM173 was performed based on systemic evaluation and clinical analysis of a highly suspected SAVI child admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital.A literature search (search terms included'STING''SAVI''autoinflammatory diseases' and'interferonopathy') was conducted using Chinese literature database,EMBASE and PubMed to include recently published SAVI studies (searched from January 2010 to December 2017).Results A 14-year-old boy who had a history of chronic dry cough along with decreased activity tolerance after birth presented with growth retardation, chilblain lesions on the ear, telangiectasia of multiple skin areas and long clubbed fingers. His C-reactive protein was 21 mg/L,erythrocyte sedimentation rate was 78 mm/1h,and IgG was 22.16 g/L.The high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) revealed interstitial lung diseases and echocardiography showed pulmonary artery hypertension, with a level of 61 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa).Genetic mutation of TMEM173 (c.463G>A,p.V155M) was confirmed by Sanger sequencing. His activity tolerance increased to some extent after treatment with tofacitinib at a dose of 5 mg twice a day.Our review yielded 8 publications (8 English and 0 Chinese). To date 20 cases have been reported worldwide, who mostly presented with skin and lung involvement as well as growth retardation. Conclusions SAVI has been included within the spectrum of interferonopathy, which is a kind of autoinflammatory diseases as well.Typical clinical features include chilblain skin lesions, interstitial lung disease, growth retardation, elevated IgG levels, and increased inflammation markers.Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors may offer benefit for SAVI patients.
