Objective:To explore the characteristics of prevailing factors and their influence on esophageal cancer in Xinjiang. Meth-ods:Patients diagnosed with esophageal cancer from January 2010 to January 2016 were selected from the Xinjiang Medical Universi-ty First Affiliated Hospital and categorized as the patient group. Patients without cancer admitted to the same period were classified as the control group. Case control study and correlation analysis between esophageal cancer and type 2 diabetes were performed. Re-sults:Type 2 diabetes (≥2 years), as a risk factor, is associated with esophageal cancer. The use of insulin (≥2 years) can increase the risk of esophageal cancer. Smoking, drinking, hyperlipidemia, body mass index≥24, and esophageal diverticulum esophageal cancer are also risk factors. Conclusion:The risk factors for esophageal cancer are prevalent among patients with type 2 diabetes patients. In-sulin use is also correlated with the occurrence of esophageal cancer. Further studies must be performed to develop secondary preven-tion for diabetic patients susceptible to esophageal cancer in high-risk subgroups.

Objective To discuss the influence of Open resetlogs on Oracle database recovery. Methods Database backup was used to recover database before resetlogs. Before Oracle 9i, Oracle database was recovered through two steps; after Oracle10g, Oracle archived redo log by new format. Results Both methods could recover Oracle database by using backups before resetlogs. Conclusion Before Oracle9i, the recovery steps are complex, so it is suggested a consistent database backup should be made after resetlogs. By using the new archived redo log format after Oracle10g, it is easy to recover database through resetlogs.

BACKGROUND:Previous studies have shown that monocytes can transdifferentiate into vascular endothelial cells under the induction of various factors including vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).It remains poorly understood whether monocytes can be induced to transdifferentiate into lymphatic endothelial cells in vitro.OBJECTIVE:To explore the possibility of the transdifferentiation of monocytes into lymphatic endothelial cells under inflammatory condition.METHODS:Fresh monocytes from peripheral blood were collected by Ficoll density gradient centrifugation and cultured in an endothelial cell medium, followed by incubation in fibronectin-plated well or treated with tumor necrosis factor a for 24 hours, respectively. The expression of specific markers of lymphatic endothelial cells, such as LYVE-1,Podoplanin,Porx-1 and VEGF receptor 3(VEGFR-3),as well as the endothelial cells markers, such as vWF,endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS)and VEGFR-2,were detected by RT-PCR and immunochemical methods.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Prior to induction, monocytes were positive to LYVE-1,but negative for Podoplanin,Porx-1,and VEGFR-3,vWF,eNOS,as well as VEGFR-2.Following induction, the cultured mononcytes were positive for Podoplanin,Prox-1 and VEGFR-3,but remained negative for vWF,eNOS and VEGFR-2.It suggested that monocytes can be induced to express the markers of lymphatic endothelial cells stimulated by fibronectin or tumor necrosis factor a.

ObjectiveTo investigate the role of ischemic postconditioning on lung ischemic/reperfusion injury induced by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in combined mitral and aortic valve replacement, and evaluate the effects of different protocol of ischemic postconditioning, and analyze its possible mechanisms.Methods24 patients diagnosed as rheumatic mitral and aortic valve disease with or without tricuspid valve disease were randomly divided into 3 groups (8 in each):Control group( group A),patients undergoing routine cardiac surgery; Postconditioning group Ⅰ (group B ),patients undergoing routine cardiac surgery and ischemic postconditioning by occlusion of the pulmonary artery of five cycles of 15 s ischemia and 15 s repeffusion before the pulmonary artery totally restoring peffusion; Postconditioning group Ⅱ (group C),patients undergoing routine cardiac surgery and ischemic postconditioning by occlusion of the pulmonary artery of five cycles of 30 s ischemia and 30 s repeffusion before the pulmonary artery totally restoring perfusion. The Oxygenation Index (OI) was measured at pre -operation and 1 h,2 h,3 h,6 h and 12 h after terminating CPB.The plasma contents of MDA were detected by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay at pre -operation,1 h,3 h,6 h and 12 h after terminating CPB.ResultsCompared with group A and C,OI in group B significantly increased at 1 h,2 h,3 h,6 h after terminating CPB (283.25 ±56.47 vs 384.76 ±29.17 vs 310.50 ±65.71,265.75 ±58.78 vs 381.75 ±29.67 vs 310.50 ±48.17,283.75 ±73.15 vs389.74±39.34 vs 317.87 ±78.41,310.37 ±52.00 vs 401.62 ±4 2.89 vs 337.25 ± 64.06,all P <0.05),and the plasma contents of MDA in group B reduced at 1 h,3 h,6 h,12 h after terminating CPB (4.64±0.63 vs 3.88 ±0.20 vs 4.38 ±0.41,5.75±0.49 vs 4.44 ±0.34 vs 5.28 ±0.76,4.42±0.31vs 3.77 ± 0.40 vs 4.35 ± 0.54,3.74 ± 0.31 vs 3.19 ± 0.17 vs 3.64 ± 0.24,all P < 0.05 ), However, there were no significant differences in OI and MDA between group C and A (all P >0.05 ).Conclusions Ischemic postconditioning by occlusion of the pulmonary artery of 5 cycles of 15 s ischemia and 15 s reperfusion attenuates lung oxygenation function injury induced by CPB in double valves replacement, and it is possibly mediated by reducing MDA produced by lipid peroxidation. However, ischemic postconditioning by occlusion of the pulmonary artery of 5 cycles of 30 s ischemia and 30 s repeffusion may not have significant protective effect for lung oxygenation function injury induced by CPB in double valves replacement.

Objective To evaluate the role of complement receptor 3 (CR3) on murine macrophages in the recognition of Penicillium marneffei. Methods RAW264.7 murine macrophage cells were cultured in vitro, and divided into four groups to be cocultured with inactivated and live Penicillium mameffei yeast cells as well as inactivated and live Penicillium marneffei conidia respectively at 37 ℃ in 5% CO2 for one hour. The RAW264.7 cells incubated with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) served as the blank control group. Then, reverse transcription-PCR was conducted to detect CR3 mRNA expression,Western blot to measure CR3 protein expression, flow cytometry to determine phagocytosis rate,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to quantify cytokine levels in culture supernatant. Some RAW264.7 macrophages were transfected with a specific siRNA targeting CR3 gene and cocultured with inactivated Penicillium marneffei conidia, subsequently, phagocytosis rate and supematant cytokine levels were determined.Data were processed by the SPSS 16.0 software, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted for inter-group comparisons of these parameters. Results No significant differences were observed in the mRNA or protein expressions of CR3 among the four groups of RAW264.7 cells cocuhured with different forms of Penicillium marneffei (both P > 0.05).The phagocytosis rate was 95.14%,89.56%,91.03% and 90.78% in RAW264.7 cells cocultured with inactivated conidia and yeast cells,as well as live conidia and yeast cells of Penicillium marneffei, respectively (P > 0.05).The levels of interleukin (IL)-2,interferon (IFN)-γ,IL-4 and IL-10 in culture supernatant were increased at different degrees after one-hour coculture in the four coculture groups compared with the blank control group, but no statistical difference was noted among the four coculture groups in the supernatant levels of these cytokines (all P > 0.05).After coculture with inactivated Penicillium marneffei conidia, the siRNA-transfected RAW264.7 cells showed a statistical decrease in phagocytosis rate (10.89% vs.92.78%,P < 0.05) and supernatant levels of IL-2,IFN-γ IL-4 and IL-10 compared with untransfected RAW264.7 cells. Conclusions In early stage of innate immunity,CR3 on macrophages may be one of the pattern recognition receptors participating in the recognition and mediation of phagocytosis of Penicillium marneffei. It's possible that both Thl-and Th2-type cytokines, such as IL-2,IFN-γ,IL-4 and IL-10,are involved in the immune response of macrophages against Penicillium marneffei.
