Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(04):-
catenin is an ubiquitously distributed protein with multiple functions. It is crucially involved in a variety of biological processes, both during embryonic development and in the adult. This reporte summarized the important roles of beta-catenin in controlling the hair follicle morphogenesis and stem cell differentiation in the skin.

Increasing evidences have shown that intestinal microbiota may contribute to the etiology of colorectal cancer(CRC). Studies have shown some microbial species which can increase the risk of CRC. Intestinal bacteria can promote carcinogenesis by affecting DNA integrity, regulating immune reaction, inducing inflammation, increasing cell proliferation and altering stem cell dynamics. Modulation of intestinal microbiota may become an approach to prevent or treat CRC. This article reviewed the effect and mechanism of intestinal bacteria flora on CRC.

More than 2 million strokes occur in china each year, most of which are caused by cerebrovascular stenosis. Atherosclerosis is the main reason for cerebrovascular stenosis. The effective treatment of intracranial atherosclerosis can significantly decrease the incidence of stroke. However,at present, about the treatment of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis has not been standardized. This article reviews about the treatment methods for intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis in recent years and provides the basis for the development of standardized treatment of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1985;0(05):-
Hepatotoxicity of cyclosporine A was investigated in 366 patients who received renal allografts, of whom 94 (25.68%) presented hepatotoxicity and 13 (3.55%) died. Hepatotoxicity appeared between 7 and 84 d, and lasted for 5 to 96 d. Our study suggested that cyclosporine A is not suitable for older patients with positive HBsAg and liver disfunction.

Objective To analyze the clinical data of male breast cancer (MBC),and investigate the clinical characteristics and factors potentialy affecting prognosis of male breast cancer. Methods A retrospective case-control study was performed on 17 MBC and 102 female breast cancer cases from January 1996 to 2008, treated in the hospital with pathologic proofs. Results MBC accounted for 1.15% (17/1473) of all cases. The initial visiting age was older, the time from the appearance of lump to the first doctor contact was longer, the positive rate of axiUary lymph node metastasis and local skin change incidence ratio was higher in the male group (P <0.05); there was no significant difference about overall 5-year disease-specific survival between the two groups (P >0.05), when tumor stages and nodal involvement were checked, Conclusion This study suggests that the two groups' prognosis is similar, the gender is uncertain prognostic factor.

Objective To establish a rat skin organ culture model to study the initiation of hair follicle morphogenesis, and the dynamic expression of Wnt10b/β-catenin in the developing hair follicle. Methods The dorsal skins of SD rat at embryos 14-17 (E14-E17) were cultured on a gelatin sponge-supported tissue culture system at the air/liquid interface of DMEM with 10 % fetal bovine serum (FBS) for 3-6 days, some of which removed from El5 were cultured in DMEM with FBS of different concentrations. HE staining and fluoroimmunoassay were adopted. Results The model we established allowed skin tissues isolated from E14-E15 to develop in a manner that was histologically and temporarily similar to the process in vivo. However, the developing hair follicle ceased to continue when their morphogenetic process reached the forth stage, and the concentration of FBS did not show any significant effect on the development of hair follicle. Expression of Wnt10b/β-catenin was induced in culture, as it also occurred in vivo, but grew weak till it disappeared in culture for 6 days, which was accompanied by development halt of hair follicle. Conclusions A rat skin organ culture model is established in which the morphogenesis of hair follicle takes place in a manner similar to in vivo, and Wnt10b/β-catenin probably has a close connection with the early morphogenesis of hair follicle.

Objective To review the phenylalanine(Phe) and thyrotropin(TSH) results of national external quality assessment(EQA)in neonatal screening laboratory for 7 years, evaluate qualitity control level and summarize the problems in the screening measurement. Methods The Phe and TSH values in dried blood spot specimens on filter paper distributed by national center for clinical laboratory were measured by fluorometrie method and time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay respectively. The Phe and TSH EQA results from 2010 to 2016 year were analyzed. Results Five specimens were distributed by EQA organizer each time, and 3 times each year.(1) In the 105 specimens of 21 batches, the bias ranges of Phe and TSH measurement were wide and their average values were 2.21% and 0.98% respectively.(2) Quantitative results analysis :Six quantitative results of Phe measurement and two quantitative results of TSH measurement were out of aunty control(bias ≥30% or ≤-30%),accounting for 5.71%(6/105)and 1.9%(2/105) respectively.(3)Qualitative results analysis:The Phe and TSH qualitative analysis of specimens conformed to the expected results(100%).The result of every batch was up to 80%.Conclusion It is useful to evaluate the measurement competence, find out the problems in the Phe and TSH measurement in neonatal screening laboratory and resolve them in time.Consequently,it is useful to improve the quality of measurement, reduce the error and ensure the accuracy of results.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2018;30(3):176-179
Objective To explore the clinical significance of peripheral blood lymphocytesubsets detection in multiple myeloma (MM) patients with different immunophenotypes. Methods A total of 40 MM patients in People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to June 2016 were selected as the research objects, and 20 healthy examinations were treated as the control group. Marrow and blood samples were collected to detect the expressions of antigens and peripheral blood lymphocytesubsets by using flow cytometry. Besides, immunophenotype and the differences of lymphocytesubsets between the two groups were analyzed. Results The expression rates of CD138, CD38, CD56, CD19, CD20, CD45 were 100 %(40/40),100 %(40/40),75 %(30/40),0,20 %(8/40),0 in MM group and 100 %(20/20),100 %(20/20), 0,100 %(20/20), 100 %(20/20),75 %(15/20)in the control group. There were two kinds of immunophenotypes in MM group including CD138+CD38+CD56-CD19- (10 cases) and CD138+CD38+CD56+CD19- (30 cases). The absolute value of CD3+[(924±341)/ml vs. (1 474±270)/ml], CD4+[(410±163)/ml vs. (871±214)/ml], CD4+/CD8+[(1.0±0.3)/ml vs. (1.6±0.5)/ml], CD19+[(72±26)/ml vs. (277±89)/ml] was lower in MM group compared with the control group(P <0.05). There was no statistical difference in the absolute values of peripheral blood lymphocytesubsets for the patients with different immunophenotypes in MM patients (all P > 0.05). Conclusions Flow cytometry could help to type accurately the different immunophenotypes, distinguish the benign and malignant of plasmocytes and assist the diagnosis for the MM patients. Peripheral blood lymphocytesubsets analysis can be used to reflect the immunity of MM patients.
