Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1987;0(01):-
This paper presents the application of Cox regression model in survival analysis of lung cancer for the first time in China.By using Cox model,a multivariate analysis was made on 191 patients with lung cancer treated by operation. Among the twenty three factors, only pathological sort, the size of tumor, lymph node metastases, type of operai ions, infiltra -ing across the end of tumor, and complications showed a high significance with prognostic relationship. Of those factors influecing postoperative survivaltime, lymph node metastases, is detrimental for patients, squamasum carcinoma and lobectomy are preferable. From survival curves of groups of different harzad groups, fit in the model and survival rale in the interclass was calculated, Therefore it showed advantages using Cox regression model in multivariate survival analysis

Objective To investigate the preoperative design and application of the minimum foveolar translocation distance and angle of macular translocation. Methods The fundus fluorescein and indocyanine green angiographies were performed on 53 eyes of 53 patients with classic subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (SCNV), including 42 with exudative age-related macular degeneration and 11 with high myopic macular degeneration. The actual area of macular SCNV and the minimum foveolar translocation distance and angle were analyzed. Results The actual area of SCNV was 0.39~18.00 mm 2 with the mean of (3.08?3.22) mm 2. The designed minimum superior translocation distance was 67~2 240 ?m with the mean of (845.72?425.23) ?m;the minimum designed minimum inferior translocation distance was 53~ 2 430 ?m with the mean of (912.17?547.77) ?m. The minimum designed superior translocation angle was 1~32? with the mean of (13.23?6.68)?;the minimum designed inferior translocation angle was 1~35? with the mean of (14.06?8.46)?. The individual difference of the minimum designed superior and inferior translocation distance was more than 500 ?m in 16 eyes (30.19%), and the difference of translocation angle was more than 10? in 11(20.75%). Conclusion Preoperative design of minimum translocation distance and angle of macular translocation may be helpful to choose the operation program.

Objective: The configuration of fixed assets in hospital, should meet the need of diagnosis, treatment and daily operation. Methods: By considering the input, output and evaluation of fixed assets in the management process, which related to the medium and long term development, we find a way to establish the information platform of fixed assets, which actually conforms to the hospital operation. Results:Effectively, the management of fixed assets was lead to a virtuous cycle. Conclusion: In the management process, economic benefits management, performance and quality management and evaluation should be different among different kinds of fixed assets. Thus, the hospital managers should focus and treat them differently, in order to achieve better or more effective management.

Aim To observe the effects of total flavones of hippophae rhamnoides L on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and the MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression in cardiac tissues of rats, and to explore the protective mechanism of total flavones of hippophae rhamnoides L on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods Fifty rats were classified into 4 groups by using the random grouping principle:model group, losartan group, sindacon group of different doses and sham operation group. The myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury model was established by ligating left anterior descending coronary artery for 30 minutes and releasing then. The cardiac muscle tissue was stained by HE to observe its necrosis area and pathological changes as well as the expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1by immunohistochemistry method. Results HE sections showed that necrosis of cardiac muscle in rats was significantly relieved in sindacon group by using different doses compared with model group, and immunohistochemistry sections showed that the sindacon group using different doses decreased the expression of MMP-9 compared with the model group and increased the expression of TIMP-1.Conclusion Sindacon has protective effect on cardiac muscle after the myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, and its mechanism may be related to its inhibition of the MMP-9 and increasing TMPM-1 expression in cardiac muscle.

Objective Signals in the tumor necrosis factor α TNFα pathway, including TNFα and tumor necrosis factor α receptor 1TNFR1, are upregulated after acute hindlimh ischemia. It is unclear, however, whether this upregulation is apathophysiological consequence or a compensatory response. In the present study, the effect of TNFR1 deletion in a mouse model of hindlimb ischemia was investigated. Methods Hindlimb ischemia was produced through ligation of the proximal and distal left femoral artery and its branches in TNFR1 knockout TNFR1-/- and wild type WT mice. Laser Doppler blood flow measurement showed that limb perfusion was significantly higher in TNFR1-/- mice than that in the WT mice at 1 day after operation. Results The calculated ischemic scores were 3.67 ± 0.52 in WT group and 1.83 ± 0.41 in TNFR1-/- group P <0.05. The rate of amputation was 50% in WT mice versus 0% in TNFR1-/- mice. There were less TUNEL positive cells in the calf muscle of TNFR1-/- mice than that of WT mice. Furthermore, DNA fragmentation was more obvious in WT mice.Western blot showed less expression of Bax and cleaved caspase 3 in TNFR1-/- mice 1 day after ischemia, suggesting a reduced apoptotic process in the absence of TNFR1.Conclusion In mice with hindlimb ischemia, knockout of TNFR1 prevents the activation of death-related proteins down streaming to TNF α and attenuated cell death including apoptosis. Systemic block of the TNFR1 might be a new interventional methods-to preserve the limbs from acute ischemic attack in patients with peripheral arterial obstructive disease.
