Objective To investigate the correlation between apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism and car-dio-cerebrovascular diseases. Methods Gene chip method was used to determine ApoE genotypes in 1427 pa-tients with cardiovascular disease and 450 health controls. Levels of serum lipid were compared. Results The highest genotype frequency of ApoE was ε3/3 in the patient group and control group. The allele frequency of ApoE from high to low wasε3,ε2 andε4. The genotype ofε3/3 in patient group was significantly lower than that in con-trol group(χ2 = 12.562,P < 0.01),whileε3/4 was significantly higher than that in control group(χ2 = 36.112, P < 0.01). No significant differences were found between patient groups in genotype or allele frequency of ApoE. The level of TCH,TG,LDL-c and sdLDL in the patient group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and HDL-c was significantly lower than those in the control group(P>0.05). The level of TCH and LDL-c significantly decreased in patients with E2 genotype, and increased in patients with genotype E4(P < 0.05). No significant differences were found in other indexes(P>0.05). Positive relationship was found between ApoE geno-type and phenotype of ApoE and LDL-c. Conclusions ApoE gene polymorphism plays an important role in the oc-currence and development of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.

Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) can treat the lesions in asurgical manner and inhibit tumor cell proliferation.Furthermore,it has a character of non-invasive,which shortens the duration of treatment.Although surgery and radiotherapy are the major means for early stage peripheral non-small cell lung cancer, some studies in recent years show that SBRT has certain advantages in local control ratio and adverse reaction compared with radiotherapy, and acquires the similar curative effect with surgery.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
In this study, acute cardiac ischemia was induced by ligation of the anterior descending branch of the coronary artery in rats. Radioimmunoassay was conducted to measure the contents of immunoreactive beta - en-dorphin (ir-?-EP)after ischemia and fructose -1,6 - diphosphate (FDP) treatment. Results showed that the contents of ir-?-EP were in-cereased in the plasma, some brain areas, pituitary and myocardium after ligation of the left coronary artery of the rats which resulted in the deterioration of the cardiac function includingdp/dtmax, Lvsp, total areas of force loop and blood pressure. Intravenous administration of FDP improved cardiac function and reduced the contents of ir - ? - EP in the above mentioned tissues suggesting that ir-?-EP correlate closely with cardiac function after ischemia, the reduction of which was possibly involved in the improve ment of cardiac function by FDP.

Objective To reproduce an animal model of psychological simulation training, and to investigate the influence of psychological training on the ability of counter physical stress. Methods Thirty-two Wister rats were assigned to four groups,8 for each, namely control group(group A),psychological training group(group B),stress group(group C)and psychological training prior to stress(group D).Rats in group A received neither psychological training nor stress, group B received psychological training without stress, group C received stimulation including stress of strong noise and strong light, but without psychological training, and group D,after psychologically training for 4 weeks, received the same stress stimulation as group C.Twenty-four hours after stress,open-field experiment was done on group C and D.At last, rats in all the 4 groups were anesthetized by ether and 5ml of blood was drawn from each rat in order to detect the content of beta-endorphin(?-EP),corticosterone and IL-1?.Results In the open-field experiments, the psychologically trained groups(B and D)showed remarkably lower scores than the un-trained groups(A and C).The levels of ?-EP and corticosterone were significantly elevated in rats after receiving stress stimulation, while that of IL-1? lowered dramatically. The level of ?-EP and corticosterone in psychological training group(group D)was remarkably lower, while that of IL-1? was higher, than the stress group(group C)during the stress. Conclusion Psychological training can lessen the inhibitory effects of harmful stress on endocrine and immunologic functions, and enhance the physical ability to confront stress.

AIM: To investigate the effects of Dihuang Yizhi Extract(DHYZE) on learning-memory ability and the central cholinergic system of the rats with Alzheimer's disease(AD) and to explore the possible mechanism of action. METHODS: Aggregated A?25-35 was injected into the right hippocampus of the rats to make experimental rat model of AD.The behavioral abnormalities were investigated by shuttle box.The contents of acetylcholine(Ach)、cholinesterase(ChE) activity、cyclic AMP response element-binding protein(CREB) and phosphorylated CREB serine 133(pCREB Ser133) in hippocampus were measured. RESULTS: DHYZE could markedly improve the function of learning and memory of rats in AD model in a dose-dependent manner. The contents of Ach and AchE activity in hippocampaus increased obviously in DHYZE medium dose group and high dose group compared with AD group.Such promotion was dose-dependent.The contents of pCREB Ser133 in hippocampaus increased obviously in DHYZE high dose group compared with AD group. CONCLUSION: The results indicate DHYZE could improve the ability of spatial learning and memory in AD rats. The mechanism might be associated with improving the impairment of the central cholinergic neurons induced by A?25-35 and activating CREB signal pathway in hippocampus of AD rats.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the psychology and personality factors which affect soldiers' psychological health, in order to provide theoretical evidences for the changes in psychology among recruits engaged in tunnelling operation. Methods Using psychological health questionnaire (SCL-90) and Eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ), 1191 recruits of missile army recruits were tested before and after the mission of tunnelling in 2004~2005 (with the exclusion the dropped outs, those who were transferred or did not complete the whole test period). Results After entering the tunnel, scores of human relationship sensitivity, anxiety, fright and positive items of the recruits were all higher than before the mission or that of servicemen′s norms. In a group of 931 healthy recruits, 157 turned sub-healthy, while 35 of a group of 260 sub-healthy turned healthy. Using EPQ to investigate the personality of these 2 groups, the C value of the former group was found to be on the high side, and this result showed that there had a tendency of concealment and pretension before entering the tunnel. The turnover observed in the latter group maybe due to their extroversion personality. The SCL-90 test of the latter group showed that it was also related to a lowering of score of human relationship sensitivity. Conclusion It shounld be emphasized that it is important to conduct self-education and psychological mediation for the recruits to improve relationship sensitivity and to allay anxiety and fear for the reeruits before and after the tunnelling operation, in order to improve their psychological health status.
