Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
A method for determination of seleninm in foods by hydride generation -atomic absorption spectrometry was described. Food samples were digested by heating with a mixture of nitric, perchloric, and sulfuric acids. After addition of 4ml of 6mol/L HC1, the digests were heated in a boiling water bath to reduce selenate to selenite. The hydride of selenium was evolved by reduction with 1% KBH4 from a system of 2mol/L HC1-1% K3Fe(CN)6 and then atomized in a laboratory-constructed electrically heated silica absorption tube. Absolute detection limit of the method was 2ng and the linear range was from 0 to 10 ng/mlSe. Recoveries of inorganic selenium added to a variety of foods ranged from 83% to 112%. Accuracies checked with standard materials of pig liver and brassica oleraca were within the certified values. The loss and pollution of selenium during the sample pretreatment were also studied.

Objective To evaluate the effect of edaravone on myocardial injury in patients undergoing offpump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG).Methods Forty ASA physical status Ⅲ-Ⅳ patients, aged 45-64 yr,weighing 55-95 kg,with NYHA class Ⅱ-Ⅲ,scheduled for elective OPCABG,were randomly divided into 2 groups (n =20):edaravone group (group E) and control group (group C).After induction of anesthesia, edaravone 60 mg (in 100 ml of normal saline) was infused over 30 min in group E,while the equal volume of normal saline was given instead of edaravone in group C.Venous blood samples were taken before operation (T1),after skin incision (T2),at the end of operation (T3),and at 24 h after operation (T4) to measure the serum levels of myocardial enzymes and cardiac troponin Ⅰ (cTnI).The time for ventilator treatment, duration of stay in the intensive care unit and duration of stay in hospital were recorded. Results Compared with group C,the activities of serum creatine kinase, creatine kinase isoenzyme-MB,aspartate aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase and cTnI concentrations were significantly increased at T3 and T4 (P < 0.05) and no significant changes were found at T1 in group E (P > 0.05).The parameters mentioned above were significantly higher at T3 and T4 than at T1 in the two groups (P < 0.05).The time for ventilator treatment, duration of stay in the intensive care unit and duration of stay in hospital were significantly shortened in group E as compared with group C (P < 0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Edaravone 60 mg infused before OPCABG can provide effective myocardial protection in patients.
7.A clinicopathological analysis of 22 cases of multiple malignant tumors.
Chinese Medical Sciences Journal 2002;17(2):124-126
To get a better understanding of the location, pathophysiology, etiology and prognosis of multiple malignant tumors (MPMT), we evaluated the medical records of 22 patients with MPMT. Our results suggested that radiotherapy and chemotherapy might play an important role in the pathogenesis of MPMT and follow-up is important in detecting a secondary primary malignant tumor (PMT) at an early stage. Surgical removal of tumors is the first-choice therapy for MPMT.

Objective The aim of this study is to examine the expressions of Toll like receptor (TLR) 7 and TLR9 in the peripheral blood B lymphocytes of SLE patients and to analyze the correlation between TLR7/9 and clinical parameters. Methods lntracellular expression of TLR7/9 in the peripheral blood CD19+Blymphocytes was analyzed in 50 SLE patients and 30 healthy controls by flow cytometry. The difference of intracellular TLR7/9 expression levels in two groups was compared. Furthermore, the correlation between TLR7/9 expression and clinical parameters such as ESR, CRP, complement 3 (C3), complement 4 (CA), the level of serum IgG, anti-double stranded DNA antibody, anti-nuclear antibodies, SLEDAI score and urine protein excretion level, were analyzed. Results Compared with healthy subjects, the proportion of B cells expressing TLR7 and TLR9 was higher among SLE patients. Positive correlation was observed between TLR7 expression levels and clinical measurement of the SLEDAI and ESR. Negative correlation was observed between TLR7 expression levels and serum C3 levels. Positive correlation was observed between TLR9 expression levels and SLEDAI scores. Negative correlation was observed between TLR9 expression levels and serum C3 levels. Conclusion TLR7 and TLR9 expression is increased in the peripheral blood B cells of SLE patients, and correlates well with clinical parameters.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2018;52(2):195-200
The human gastro-intestinal tract is not only the habitat of gut microbiota, but also the main place that the body gets available nutrients. Therefore, the gut microbiota of human can be inseparable associated with the human nutrition. The common technologies used among gut microbiota research included metageonomic, metatranscriptomics, metaproteomics, and metabolomics. The research of gut microbiota based on above omics methods confirmed that diets were the main factors influencing the composition and expression of gut microbiota. The proportion, quantity, stable state, and metabolic changes of gut microbiota were closely related to obesity, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, and other nutritional-related diseases. Reasonable dietary intervention can adjust the disorders of gut microbiota, which can achieve prevention and treatment of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and other nutritional-related diseases. Although the single omics methods can be used to study the problems of some aspects of gut microbiota, the combination of multi-omics is needed to achieve the above objectives.
