AIM: To establish HPLC for the determination of icariin and adenosine in Cordyceps Vigorine Tablet. METHODS:MetaChem Polaris ODS C18-A column(4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm) was adopted; acetonitrile-water was the mobile phase; detection wavelength was set at 272 nm for icariin and at 260 nm for adenosine; column linearity within the range of 0. 374-2. 246 μg for icariin and 0. 348-1. 392 μg for adenosine, respectively. The average recovery and RSD were found to be (99.4 ± 1.84) % for icariin ( n = 6), (99.63 ± 1.29 ) % for adenosine, respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is convenient, fast, reliable to operate and suitable for the quality control of Cordyceps Vigorine Tablet.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
With a PII-300 computer, a microcomputer system for SCCA marker detection is developed in this paper, which is based on Windows operating system and Visual Basic 6.0. More than 1,000 cases have proved that the results from the system completely accord with the one from artificial detection. With this system, such disadvantages are conquered as high labor intensity, low working efficiency and high error rate, and a quantitative detection method for SCCA marker comes into existence.
4. Clinical characteristics and differentiation of stroke mimics during super early intravenous thrombolysis of acute ischemic stroke
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2016;37(10):1222-1225
Objective To study the clinical characteristics and differentiation of stroke mimics during super early intravenous thrombolysis of acute ischemic stroke. Methods The clinical data of patients who received intravenous thrombolysis between Sep. 2013 and Feb. 2015 in Changhai Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. And those with stroke mimics were identified and were compared with those with strokes; the clinical symptoms and laboratory findings were compared between the two groups. Results A total of 212 patients received intravenous thrombolysis, and 7(3. 3%) of them were identified as having stroke mimics. There were no notable differences in the baseline characteristics between mimics and stroke groups. Psychiatric and dementia history were of great value for differentiation of stroke mimics from strokes. MRI, vascular assessment, electroencephalogram (EEG), blood and cerebrospinal fluid assay greatly contributed to the final diagnosis of stroke mimics. Conclusion Only few patients receiving intravenous thrombolysis have been confirmed to have stroke mimics. Medical history combined with MRI may be of great value for differentiation of mimics and strokes.
5. Expression of transglutaminase 4 in prostate cancer and its clinical significance
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2014;35(7):734-738
Objective: To investigate the value of transglutaminase 4 in diagnosis and prognosis prediction of prostate cancer. Methods: Transglutaminase 4 immunostaining was performed with paraffin sections from 159 prostate cancer patients receiving radical prostatectomy, and the staining results were divided into 4 levels: negative staining, weak staining, moderate staining, and strong staining. The clinical and pathological information of the patients were obtained by reviewing the medical records. The follow-up data were collected by reviewing medical records, prostate cancer database of our department, and telephoning the patients or their family members. Expression of transglutaminase 4 and clinical, prognosis data of patients were subjected to statistical analysis. Results: The expression of transglutaminase 4 in the prostatic cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in the adjacent normal tissue (P<0.001); and the expressions were significantly different in patients with different Gleason grades (P<0.001) and different prostate specific antigen levels(P=0.005). Univariate Cox regression analysis indicated that high transglutaminase 4 expression was a risk factor of biochemical recurrence of prostatic cancer (P=0.020), but multivariate Cox regression analysis did not support this finding (P=0.139). Conclusion: Transglutaminase 4 expression is increased in prostate cancer tissues, and the expression is stronger in malignant tissues with higher Gleason grade and prostate specific antigen level.
6. Solifenacin succinate in improving bladder irritative symptoms after transurethral resection of bladder tumors
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2014;36(4):447-449
Objective To explore the value of solifenacin in managing bladder irritative symptoms after transurethral resection of bladder tumor. Methods A total of 116 patients with the diagnosis of non-muscle invasive bladder carcinoma were enrolled in the present study, and they were randomly allocated into experiment group and control group. All patients received transurethral resection of bladder cancer and immediate postoperative instillation of epirubicin. Patients in the experiment group also received solifenacin 5 mg at 6 h before surgery and once a day after surgery for 3 d, while the patients in the control group received placebo. The incidences and severity of catheter related bladder discomfort were recorded at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h after surgery. Results The incidence rate of bladder irritative symptoms significantly decreased from 93.1% in the control group to 67.2% in the experiment group(P=0.001). Compared with the control group, the severity of bladder irritative symptoms in the experiment group was significantly improved at all time points (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Solifenacin is effective for managing bladder irritative symptoms after transurethral resection of bladder tumors.

Objective To prepare human anti-postsynaptic neurotoxin monoclonal antibody from phage antibody library using recombined postsynaptic short-chain neurotoxins ofLapemis curtus. Methods The three postsynaptic neurotoxins were expressed inEscherichia coli and phage antibodies against neurotoxins were screened. The obtained scFvs were further constructed to full antibodies. The antigen binding ability, biochemical and pharmacokinetic characteristics of the depurated antibodies were evaluated, and the anti-toxin effects of the antibody drugs were verifiedin vivo. Results Two positive scFvs with specific binding ability to all the three neurotoxins were obtained after 4 rounds of panning, and then the full antibodies were generated, expressed and purified. Antibody binding specificity was further confirmed. Pharmacokinetics of these two antibodies, SM-SD-911 and SM-SD-861 were similar to a conventional IgG molecule. SM-SD-911 and SM-SD-861 also showed strong antitoxin effectin vivo. Conclusionfull human anti-postsynaptic neurotoxin antibody has been successfully obtained by using recombinant neurotoxin technology and a large phage antibody library which may achieve clinical efficacy in navy medical applications.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(11):-
Wavelet transform(WT) is a powerful technique in signal separation and can improve the signal-to-noise ratio by separating the white noise and useful signal. The method in the paper introduces the concepts of Wavelet transform.According to the analysis of Wavelet coefficients between the noise and signal at different levels, the appropriate filter is realized. The patch clamp experiment results demonstrate the feasibility of the method.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(07):-
Fluorescence probe Fluo-3AM can be luminary in confocal microscope after combining Ca2+,So nomadic Ca2+ in cytoplasm can be measured and tested by this way. Some confocal laser scan images are obtained after calcium in muscle fibers signed with F1uo-3AM. Then mapping function is used to convert the gray level image into colorful image by pseudo-color enhancement theory in digital image.Compared to the original gray level image, the processed pseudo-color image could be more easily distinguished. So the methods had a great value in Ca2+ detection fields.
