Objective To observe the clinical effect of Chi nese herbs Biejia Ruangan pill(BRP)on fibrosis in chronic hepatic B.Methods Ninety -eight patients with liver fibrosis of chronic hepatitis B were ra ndomly divided into two groups of BRP ,treatment group and co ntrol group,in which clinical manif estation scoring,liver function an d serum marker of hepatic fibrosis were obse rved.Results BRP could obviously improve the clin ical manifestation scoring,liver function and serum marker of hepatic fibrosis as compared with the contro l group.Conclusion Chinese herbs BRP could treat liver fibrosis of chronic hepatitis B effectively.

Methods The model of GPL was established mainly through N-methyl-N-nitro N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) together with other factors including alcohol stimulation and undue hunger and overeating. The survived rats after modeling were randomly divided into spontaneous recovery, and high-, moderate- and low-dose Yiqi Huayu group. After the corresponding treatment, the expression of PKC and CyclinE were detected by immunohistochemical method in each group. OBJECTIVE: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) is a chronic progressive degenerative disease selectively infringing upper and lower motoneurons, and its pathogeny and pathogenesis are unclear till now. Its researches are mainly relying on animal models. Currently, there are many methods for the establishment of ALS animal.model and each of them has its own characters,practicability and values.DATA SOURCES: Relative articles during the period from January 1980 to December 2003 were searched on the Medline database by the title of the article with the searching word "amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, model" and the language of the articles was limited to English.STUDY SELECTION: Data were preliminarily screened for the selection of the literatures mainly regarding the researches of ALS animal models; and then literatures regarding the application of ALS animal model in medication effectiveness and pathogenesis were eliminated; the full texts of the rest literatures were searched as inclusive criteria.DATA EXTRACTION: Totally 96articles searched with "amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, model" in title were collected. Fifteen tests were in accordance with the inclusive criteria. In the eliminated 81 tests, 75 literatures were about the researches on the application of ALS model for medication observation and pathogenesis research, and the rest 6 articles were repetitive experiments.DATA SYNTHESIS: ALS neurotoxic animal model, immune mediated animal model, spontaneous animal model, and transgenic animal model were established in the selected literatures, which also investigated the mechanism, features, practicability and value of the animal model.CONCLUSION: The establishment of animal models simulated ALS symptoms or pathogenesis in the above literatures can be used in ALS disease researches as referencing model, which could provide animal experimental basis for the researches of ALS pathogenesis and the confirmation of therapy plan.

[Objective] To observe the anti - aging effects and explore the mechanism of Qibao Meiran Pellet (QMP) and its modified prescriptions, including QMP with qi - invigorating and spleen - strengthening herbs, with kidney -nourishing herbs or with blood - activating and purgative herbs. [ Methods ] Ten - month - old model rats were established by D - galactose. Serum free radical levels and immune indexes in QMP group and various modified QMP groups were observed. [ Results ] QMP increased the activity of superoxide dismutase ( SOD). QMP combined with kidney - nourishing herbs or blood - activating and purgative herbs decreased the serum level of malondialdehyde (MDA) and increased the activities of glutathione peroxidase (GSH - Px) and SOD. Meanwhile, QMP combined with kidney -nourishing herbs increased interleukin - 2 activities. [ ConclusionJ QMP, mainly composed of herbs for nourishing liver and spleen, can delay the aging of rats, and spleen - strengthening herbs and blood - activating and purgative herbs also play an important role in the delay of aging. Furthermore, it is suggested that the anti - aging effect of herbal medicine is related to the sex.

In this study, the optical data of tongue color of different syndromes in primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) were detected by optical spectrum colorimetry, and the chromaticity of tongue color was compared and analyzed. The tongue color characteristics of different syndromes in PHC and the relationship between different syndromes and tongue color were also investigated.

Objective To analyze the clinical characters in old patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Methods The clinical data of 426 patients undergoing CABG from January 2000 to April 2009 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. One hundred eighteen patients were 70-82 years old (older group), 308 patients were 24-69 years old (younger group). The perioperative risk factors, surgical complication and outcomes between the two groups were compared.Results The older group had higher incidences of post-operative complications than younger group.Pre-operative risk factors included the female, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, peripheral vessel disease, New york heart association(NYHA) class Ⅳ, unstable angina requiring intravenous nitrates until arrival in the anaesthetic room, left ventricular ejection fraction ＜30%. The older group showed higher incidences of postoperative severe complication, operative mortality, and more grafts and longer time in intensive care unit (ICU), and had lower incidents of valve disease and less use of left internal mammary artery [16 patients (13. 6%) vs. 152 patients (49.4%), all P＜0. 05].Conclusions The many CABG risk factors in China are different from those in the western countries.Although the higher incidents of postoperative severe complication and higher operative mortality are found in the older patients, the recovery period after operation isn't obviously prolonged. The operative outcomes are satisfactory.

Using the data from normal tongue and lip colors of normal people which were collected by the visible reflection spectrum, we analyzed the colorimetric parameters of tongue and lip colors.

Objective To look for a reliable and convenient judgement criteria for the screening of cytomegalovirus pneumonia in order to reduce misdiagnosis and resulted mistherapy.Methods Process collected data on fifty-six cytomegalovirus pneumonia and forty-two common viruses induced asthmatic bronchitis cases by use of discriminant analysis to construct prediction model of diagnosis result.Results Only three indexes including age,lymph count and platelet count were selected into the model via sift.The performance of the established screening model showed as follows:sensitivity was 80.36％,specificity was 80.95％,misdiagnosis rate was 19.05％,false negative rate was 19.64％,diagnostic accordance rate was 80.61％.Conclusion Being concise and of strong maneuverability and high accuracy in prediction,cytomegalovirus pneumonia diagnosis model constructed through discriminant analysis can provide powerful screening means for medical staff.
