Objective To explore the influence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients with coronary lesions to the ST segment resolution (STR) and clinical prognosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods 380 patients with AMI were detected twice each hour for the situation of STR,before and after coronary angiography and PCI.According to the STR,the patients were divided into STR (≥ 50％) group and no STR (＜ 50％) group.The relationship between STR and clinical prognosis of hospitalization or follow up were analyzed.Results The STR rate of patients with coronary multivessel disease or proximal lesions after PCI was lower than the rate of patients with coronary single vessel disease or distal lesions (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rate of major cardiac events and LVEDd during hospitalization in patients with proximal coronary lesions was obviously higher than patients with distal lesions,while LVEF was lower than distal lesions(P ＜0.01).It had no significant differences in LVEF,LVEDd between coronary multivessl disease and single vessel disease during follow up (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion It has significant relationship between coronary multivessel disease,proximal coronary,STR resolution in patients with AMI after PCI and the prognosis during hospitalization and follow up.

Aim: To compare the stability of Endostar~(TM) and endostatin under different temperatures and pH using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis( PAGE) and Western blot and to compare the activity of Endostar kept at 4 ℃ and 37 ℃ by inhibition of endothelial cell proliferation. Methods: Endostar and endostatin expressed by Phicha pastoris were kept at 4 ℃, and 37 ℃ for 96 hours, respectively. The electrophoresis of the samples was detected by reduced and non-reduced PAGE. The results were further confirmed by Western blot with rabbit anti-Endostar polyclonal antibody. The inhibitory effect of Endostar stored at different temperatures on HUVEC was also exam-ined by cell-based assay. Results: Single band at 20 kD was detected in all lanes of SDS-PAGE gel loaded with endostatin and Endostar samples under reducing condition. In acidic native PAGE with three different pH values, endostatin showed a smear characteristic, whereas Endostar showed a unique band in acidic non-continuous native PAGE. Although the smear phenomenon was also observed under two conditions of constant native elec-trophoresis, the major band of Endostar could be detected. Similar electrophoretic behavior was found for endosta-tin and Endostar stored at both 37 ℃ and 4 ℃ . Western blot showed similar results to those by PAGE. Furthermore, Endostar stored at these two temperatures also had identical inhibitory effect on proliferation of HUVEC. Conclusion: Endostar and endostatin exhibit similar thermostability at regular conditions, but Endostar was more stable than endostatin expressed in P. pastoris under acidic condition.

Objective To explore the relationship between ST-segment level,T-wave early inversion and patients' left ventricular function,prognosis specifically for ST-segment elevation acute myocardial infarction patients,which underwent emergency PCI.Methods 62 patients (M:40,F:22 ) with acute myocardial infarction were randomly divided into groups as follows:according to whether one hour ST segment's changes more than 50％ after PCI,they were divided into group A and B:group A (PCI after one hour ST segment ≥50％ ),group B (PCI ST segment after one hour ＜50％ ).According to whether 24-hour T wave inversion after PCI,they were divided into group C and D:group C (24-hour T-wave inversion),group D (24 hours without T wave inversion).After six months,the different LVEF betweeen group A and B,C and D was observed.Results Of group A and group C,after 6 months,the left ventricular function recovery was better than that of group B and group D ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The analysis of ST segment and T wave are simple,practical and effective methods to predict myocardial reperfusion,especially for PCI therapy in patients with acute myocardial infarction.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of erythropoietin (EPO)combined oral iron in patients with chronic congestive heart failure( CHF)accompanied by anemia. MethodsNinety six patients with CHF accompanied by anemia, whom were consecutively hospitalized from January 2007 to December 2009, were enrolled into this study. They were randomly divided into treatment group accepted routine anti-heart failure therapy combined EPO and oral iron, and control group solely accepted routine anti-heart failure therapy. After 6 months follow up, the changes of hemoglobin ( Hb ), cardiac function classification, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) ,6-minute walking distance,readmission rate of CHF and cardiac death were compared between two groups. ResultsCompared with those before therapy, we found significant improvements of hemoglobin level ( [ 120. 12 ± 10. 42 ] g/L vs [ 86.40 ± 14. 30 ] g/L, P ＜ 0. 01 ), cardiac function classification ( 2. 65 ± 0. 67 vs 3. 13 ±0. 61, P ＜ 0. 01 ), LVEF ( [ 37.21 ± 4. 96 ]％ vs [ 33. 92 ± 7. 28 ]％, P ＜ 0. 01 ), 6-minute walking distance ( [ 443.52 ± 97. 39 ] mvs [ 379. 15 ± 59. 34 ] m, P ＜ 0. 01 ) in treatment group after EPO combined oral iron administration. After 6 months follow up, we also found significant improvements of Hb level ( [ 120. 12 ±10. 42 ] g/L vs [ 86. 40 ± 14. 30 ] g/L, P ＜ 0. 01 ), cardiac function classification ( 2.65 ± 0. 67 vs 2. 98 ± 0. 81,P＜0.01),LVEF([37.21 ± 4.96]％ vs [34.67 ±4.10]％,P ＜ 0. 01),6-minute walking distance ( [443.52 ±97. 39 ] mvs [ 379. 15 ± 59. 34 ] m, P ＜ 0. 01 ) in the comparison between treatment and control group. The readmission rate of CHF fell significantly in treatment group compared to control (20. 83％ vs 39. 58％ ,P ＜ 0. 05 ). However, we found no significant difference in cardiac death rate ( 0％ vs 4. 17％, P ＞0. 05). ConclusionTreatment of EPO combined oral iron could significantly improve the cardiac function,increase exercise tolerance,lower the readmission rate of CHF in patients with chronic congestive heart failure (CHF)accompanied by anemia.

Objective To compare the changes in serum levels of high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)and uric acid(UA)before and after atorvastatin treatment for the patients with both essential hypertension and hypercholesterolemia,and to evaluate its effects on blood pressure and left ventricular remodeling.Methods One hundred and twenty-six hypertensive patients complicated with hypercholesterolemia were randomized into group A with amlodipine 10 mg/d(n = 65)and group B with amlodipine 10 mg/d plus atorvastatin 20 mg/d(n = 61),for three months continuously.Serum levels of total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C),triglyeerides(TG),hs-CRP and UA,as well as blood pressure,were determined for both groups before and after treatment.Left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LPWT)and interventricular septum thickness(IVST)were measured by echocardiography and left ventricle mass index(LVMI)was calculated.Results Serum levels of TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,TG,hs-CRP and UA decreased significantly in gr6up B after three-month treatment with atorvastatin,while serum level of HDL-C increased significantly. Objective To investigate the effects of heparin coating on intimal hyperplasia in implanted decellularized xenografts.Methods The resected canie carotid arteries were decellularized,and heparin coating was partially performed.Eighteen rabbits were divided into non-heparin-coated group(n=9)and heparin-coated group(n=9).During implantation,only the left carotid between the anastomotic stoma was ligated.Doppler ultrasonography was performed 1,3 and 12 weeks post-implantation to measure the luminal diameter,and the hemodynamic parameters such as PSV,RI and PI were calculated.All animals were sacrificed,histological observations were conducted at 12 weeks post-implantation,and I/(I+ M)was calculated.Results Except for 1 week post-implantation in the ligated side,the luminal diameters in non-heparin -coated group were significantly smaller than that of pre-implantation.Besides,those of the non-ligated side at each time points were significantly smaller than the ligated side(P

Objective To analyse the diagnosis and treatment of testicular torsion. Methods The clinical data of 66 cases of testicular torsion were retrospectively analysed. Results Among the 66 cases,32(48.5%) paid the first medical visit within 10 h,and 24(36.4%)were confirmed diagnosis at the first visit.False negative results occurred with color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI),and 8 testicles were damaged due to the false negative diagnosis.Thirty-three patients without prophylactic contralateral orchidopexy were followed up for 6 months to 20 years,and one experienced recurrent torsion. Conclusion The testicular torsion must be considered when a sudden acute scrotum pain is occurred.Testicular damage is closely related to the torsion time,and delayed medical intervention contributes to the testicular damage.Highly suspected cases should be performed surgical exploration timely due to the false negative results with CDFI.Prophylactic contralateral orchidopexy is recommended.
