Objective To explore the changes of ER-IR and the ultra structure in the medial preoptic area, arcuate nuclei of early-aged mice treated with estrogen. Methods Immunohistochemistry assay and electron microscopy were used in this study. Results ER-IR in the medical preoptic area and arcuate nuclei were greatly reduced after estrogen was given. The cell nuclei of neurons in these areas migrated towards the side, the nuclear membrane became folded, synapse became richer, and the number of synapse vesicle increased. Conclusion Estrogen can affect the neuron structure and function through the change of estrogen receptor expression in the medial preoptic area and arcuate nuclei of the hypothalamus cardiovascular center.

Sixty four infants (25 males and 39 females), including 9 under nour- ished and 4 prematures, were fed with a commercial spray dried soybean milk preparation, while 32 (17 males and 15 females) were fed with a whole cow's milk powder diet, and 48 (24 males and 24 female) were fed with either human milk or fresh cow's milk. There were 5 pairs of twins, one of each pair was fed with the soybean preparation; and among the other 5, 2 were fed with cow's milk powder diet and 3 were fed human milk. The ages of the infants at the start of the observation were. 41 under one month, 76 at two months, and 28 at three months. Their ages at the conclusion were all one year.Twenty five mg of ascorbic acid and 1-2 drops of concentrate fish liver oil, furnishing 5000 I.U. of vitamin A and 500 I.U. of vitamin D, were supplied daily to all infants from the very beginning. Foods, including egg yolk, rice porridge, wheat flour noodles, soybean curd, chopped meat or vegetables etc were supplemented at the proper ages.Infants fed with the soybean milk product all had goo'd appetite, and no digestive disorder. Most of them passed formed stools once or twice a day. Only a few passed thin stools 5-6 times a day at the beginning, and changed to excrete formed stools after three weeks. The average daily calorie intake of the normal infants fed with the soybean product at the age of five months was 107 kcal; the prematures took 144 kcal, while the undernourished took 147 kcal. The growth rate of the infants fed with the soybean product was normal; the average growth curve is below that of infants fed with cow's milk powder diet or human milk before the 7th month, and there is practically no difference between the three curves after this age.Among the twins, those who took the soybean product all grew better in height and weight than their siblings. The average age of the eruption of the first tooth of the infants in the three groups were all at the 7th month. The blood hemoglobin and red cell count of the infants in the three groups were all normal. As to the serum alkaline phosphatase activity, 3.3% of the infants in the soybean food group and 12.5% of the infants in the human milk group were above 15 Bodansky units at the beginning, and all fall below 15 units at the end of the observation.X-ray photographs of the long bone at the beginning revealed that, among 55 infants, there were 4 had signs of rickets, 3 had doubtful rickets in the soybean food group, 48 had doubtful rickets in the human milk group. No signs of rickets were observed in the three groups at the end.It may be concluded that the nutritional quality of the spray dried soybean milk preparation seems to be equal to, if not better than, that of whole cows milk powder or human milk.

Virologica Sinica 2007;22(5):347-352
The epitope-G1 gene of Bovine ephemeral fever virus (BEFV) glycoprotein was synthesised by PCR and cloned into expression vector pPIC9K to construct recombinant plasmid pPIC9K-G1. Then the pPIC9K-G1 was linearized and transformed into Pichia pastoris GS 115. The recombinant P. pastoris strains were selected by a G418 transformation screen and confirmed by PCR. After being induced with methanol, an expressed protein with 26 kDa molecular weight was obtained, which was much bigger than the predicted size (15.54 kDa). Deglycosylation analysis indicated the recombinant G1 was glycosylated. Western blot and ELISA tests, as well as rabbit immunization and specificity experiments indicated that the target protein had both higher reaction activity and higher immunocompetence and specificity. The recombinant G1 protein could be used as a coating antigen to develop an ELISA kit for bovine ephemeral fever diagnosis.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effects of plate and xenogenic bony plate for the treatment of nonunion of femoral shaft fracture after initial fixation with locked intramedullary nailing.
METHODSFrom February 2006 to June 2013, 21 cases with nonunion of femoral shaft fracture after initial fixation with locked intramedullary nailing were treated with femoral plate and contralateral xenogenic bony plate. There were 12 males and 9 females with an average age of 34.8 years old (ranging from 18 to 62 years). The time of nonunion was 9 to 18 months (averaged 12.8 months). The clinical outcomes of the treatment were evaluated by Merchan assessment.
RESULTSAll of the patients were primary healing, and on complications such as infection, fat embolism, internal fixation breaking or rotational deformity, shortening were occurred. All the cases were followed up for 13.2 months (ranging from 8 to 24 months). Nineteen cases were bone healed, the time of union averaged 6.2 months (ranging from 4 to 9 months). Two cases appeared delayed union and gained bony union after 7 to 13 months' observation. According to the criterion of Merchan, the results were excellent in 13 cases, good in 6 cases, poor in 2 cases.
CONCLUSIONTreatment of nonunion of femoral shaft fracture after initial locked intramedullary fixation with plate and xenogenic bony plate has advantages of high curative rate and low complications, good postoperative function recovery, it is a reliable treatment to elevate the stability of fixation and promote the osteogenesis.

Objective To study predicting results of the back propagation (BP)neural network model for hematoma enlargement (HE)in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods The clinical data of 128 patients with cerebral hemorrhage admitted to the 309th hospital of People′s Liberation Army from January 2011 to December 2014 were analyzed retrospectively. The Matlab 7. 14 software was used to achieve BP neural network model for predicting hematoma enlargement within 24 hours in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (HE ≥6. 0 ml and HE ≥12. 5 ml). The mean square error (MSE)of the model and the accuracy of the overall prediction were calculated. The receiver operation characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn for predicting HE. Results When the BP neural network predicted HE ≥6. 0 ml and HE ≥12. 5 ml,the mean square deviations of the training set, validation set,and test set were 0. 061, 0. 143,0. 052 and 0. 023,0. 057,and 0. 065,respectively. The best fitting performance verification of hematoma enlargement was as follows:≥ 6. 0 ml for network training 11 times and the error value 0. 224;≥12. 5 ml for network training 20 times, and the error value 0. 057. The overall accuracies of predicting HE ≥6. 0 ml and HE ≥12. 5 ml were 92. 2% (118/ 128)and 96. 9% (124/ 128)respectively. Conclusion The BP neural network model have no special limitation for data. It can accurately fit the hematoma expansion model of cerebral hemorrhage.

Microbiology 2008;0(07):-
According to morphological and microscopic characteristics, a high-efficient decolorizing fungus, the strain Asaw117, was identified as Aspergillus awamori. Selecting eight different dyes from Azo dyes, anthraquinones dyes and oxygen Quinones dyes, the decolorizing assays of various dyes showed that the strain Asaw 117 was the highest decolorizing potential to 0.1 g/L Vat Blue RSN, the discoloration rate up to 100 percent. Comparing to different kinds of medium and several of carbon and nitrogen sources, the strain had the best decolorizing efficient although grew slower in the Czapek medium, otherwise, grew quicker and decolorizing efficient lower in the PDF medium. It could use Vat Blue RSN as a nitrogen source, but not as a carbon source. The medium composing of saccharose and ammonium nitrate as carbon and nitrogen sources was decolorizing potential markedly during different combinations of carbon and nitrogen sources. So the strain has good potential for the dyeing wastewater treatment
