2.Advance of the studies on the adhesion molecules of blood cells.
Journal of Experimental Hematology 2004;12(1):1-5
The interactions between blood cells and blood cells or blood cells and endothelium of blood vessel are mainly mediated by adhesion molecules. The role of adhesion molecules is diverse in vivo, which involved in adhesion, migration, differentiation and signal transduction of blood cells. The function of adhesion molecules is necessary to maintain the normal structure and fulfill many physiological processes of these cells. Therefore, the abnormal or deficiency of their expression and function will disrupts normal physiological processes and results in clinical disease. In this paper, several generic classes of adhesion molecules, including the integrins, the selectins, the immunoglobulin superfamily and others are introduced, and a lot of related physiopathological status, such as inflammation, hemostasis, arteriosclerosis, thrombosis and stem cell homing are discussed. The studies on the adhesion molecules of blood cells will contribute not only to understand the pathogenesis of some disorders, but also to search new targets in diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.

Objective To research in the effect of pertinent nursing method on therapeutic effect of postoperative intractable affective disorder. Methods We drew out all the patients who were in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria and accepted surgical treatment from June to September in 2008,and obtained 45 patients which were divided into the experimental group(21 participants) and the control group (24 participants) randomly. The experimental group adopted pertinent nmsing intervention in different periods, the control group accepted routine nursing measures. Two psychiatrists evaluated these patients' symptoms using the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS), Bech-Rafaelsen Mania Rating Scale (BRMS), and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD). Results The difference of total efficiency between the two groups had no statistical significance at 1 week and 1 month after operation, yet, obvious statistical significance was seen on 3 and 6 months after operation. The total points of all scales had no statistical significance at 1 week and 1 month after operation; however, obvious statistical significance appeared on 3 month and 6 month after operation. The improvement of symptoms of the experimental group was better than the control group. Conclusions The nurs-i ng interventions used in this research could improve the therapeutic effect of the postoperative intractable affective disorder, and the effects were reflected mainly in the long term effectiveness.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(4):492-496
The inheritance of famous old traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctors plays an essential role in the fields of TCM research. Qualitative interviews allow for subjectivity and individuality within clinical experience as well as academic ideas of doctors, making it a potential appropriate research method for inheritance of famous old TCM doctors. We summarized current situations of inheritance research on famous old TCM doctors, and then discussed the feasibility of applying qualitative interviews in inheritance of famous old TCM doctors. By combining our experience in research on inheritance of famous old TCM doctors, we gave some advice on study design, interview implementation, data transcription and analyses , and report writing, providing a reference for further relevant research.

Objective To investigate the effect of chronic stress on the expression of uncoupling protein 4 (UCP4) and Bcl-2 protein in hippocampal neurons of rat depression model. Methods Rat depression models were established by chronic unpredicted mild stress. All rats were randomly assigned to 2 groups:control group and model group.Flow cytometry was applied to detect the apoptosis rate and mitochondrial membrane potential. The level of LDH was measured by enzymes labelling instrument. The number of neurons was measured by immunohistochemistry. The expression of UCP4 and Bcl-2 protein was measured by Western blotting. Results After chronic stress, the apoptosis rate((4.35±0.19) %)and LDH activity ((445.50±91.70) U/mg) in hippocampal tissue in the model group was significantly higher than the control group((0.34±0.06) %,(167.20±63.40)U/mg).Compared to control group, the number of hippocampal neurons ((72.50±4.25) vs (45.30±2.54)) and the mitochon drial membrane potential decreased in the model group. The expressions of UCP4 and Bcl-2 protein in hippocampal tissue were significantly lower than the control group. Conclusion Chronic unpredicted mild stress can lead to apoptosis in rat hippocampal neurons, which is related with decline of mitochondrial membrane potential and low expression of UCP4 and Bcl-2 protein.

Objective To study the relationship between serum tumor marker level and the apoptosis regulation gene of tumor tissue in the patients with primary hepatocarcinoma .Methods 40 cases of primary hepatocarcinoma and 40 healthy people were in‐cluded into the observation group and control group .Then the levels of tumor marker GP73 ,TK1 ,DKK1 in serum and the expres‐sion of apoptosis regulation gene in tumor tissue were detected in the two groups .Results The serum GP73 ,TK1 and DKK1 levels of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group ,the difference was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .The apoptosis inhibiting gene Plk1 ,Livin and Xiap levels in the hepatocellular carcinoma tissue were higher than those in the adjacent normal tissues ,while the pro‐apoptotic gene M TS1 ,Caspase‐3 and Caspase‐8 levels were lower than those in the adjacent normal tissues ,the difference had statistical significance (P< 0 .05) ;serum GP73 ,TK1 and DKK1 levels were positively correlated with Plk1 ,Livin and Xiap levels and negatively correlated with M TS1 ,Caspase‐3 and Caspase‐8 levels .Conclusion The levels of se‐rum GP73 ,TK1 and DKK1 in the patients with primary hepatocarcinoma are abnormally increased ,moreover which are closely cor‐related with the apoptosis regulating gene expression and the ideal indexes to evaluate the disease condition of primary hepatocarci ‐noma .

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of gastric stromal tumor(GST). Methods Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 18 cases of GST. The diagnosis of 18 cases was confirmed by pathology. Local resection of the tumor was performed in 2 cases, partial gastrectomy in 5 cases, subtotal gastrectomy in 9 cases, and total gastrectomy with lymph node clearance in 2 cases. Results Most of the patients were over forty years old.In 55.5% of cases, the location of tumor was at the middle of the stomach, and 61.0% of cases were intragastric growth type. The preoperative diagnostic rate was 27.8%,misdiagnostic rate was 72.2%.The resectability rate was 100%. No postoperative complications and operative death occurred in this series. Fifteen cases were followed up for 1 to 10 years. During follow up,2 cases died of recurrence of the tumor, and the other patients were still alive. Conclusion The GST patients lack typical clinical manifestations, and the preoperative diagnosis is difficult.Barium meal examination and gastroscopy are the main supplementary examinations.A combination of histological and immunohistochemical examinations is helpful to confirm the diagnosis.Surgical resection is the only effective therapeutic method.

The ubiquitin-like modifier bISG15 is an antiviral protein found in fetal bovine lung (FBL) cells.Bovine Herpesvirus 1(BHV-1),which is a viral pathogen of cattle, can infect FBL cells and induce cytopathic effects.Real-time PCR assays showed that BHV- 1 's infection could repress the basal or inducible transcription of bISG15 in FBL cells. It demonstrates that this repression effect depends on BHV-1 viral infection and new protein synthesis. Our previous work showed that bIRF-3 was the key factor in the stimulation of bISG 15 in FBL cells,so the effect of BHV-1 viral protein on bIRF-3 activating the promoter of bISG15 was confirmed. The luciferase assay showed the BHV-1 viral protein bICP0 inhibited the activation of bISG15 promoter stimulated by bIRF-3.Taken together, our work suggested that BHV-I had some molecular mechanism to resist the cellular bISG15'santiviral functions.
