Objective To analyze the relationship between visceral obesity and hyperuricemia (HUA), and to provide the basis for the further study of obesity and HUA. Methods A total of 1 824 participants came from Tianjin Heping District Health Education Guidance Center in 2014 were selected in this study. The investigation was performed with physical examination and laboratory test for all subjects. Body fat analyzer was used to measure the visceral fat area (VFA). The Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between visceral obesity and HUA. Results The prevalence of HUA in men and women increased gradually with VFA increasing (P<0.05). There was a positive correlation between VFA, waist circumference (WC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) and serum uric acid (SUA) level (P<0.05). According to the results of Logistic regression analysis, VFA (OR=1.805,95%CI=1.166-2.794) and WHR (OR=2.108,95%CI=1.061-4.189) were the risk factors of HUA in men. And in women, VFA (OR=1.775,95%CI=1.154-2.732), WC (OR=2.015, 95%CI=1.137- 3.570) and WHR (OR=2.489, 95% CI=1.400- 4.426) were the risk factors of HUA. Conclusion The accumulation of visceral fat will increase the risk of HUA. So it is necessary to strengthen the detection of visceral obesity to prevent the development of HUA.

BACKGROUND: Salvia miltiorrhiza is widely used to treat angina cordis, ischemic stroke and other ischemic cardiovascular diseases. However, the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza on ovariectomized rats remain unclear.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza on the body mass, food intake, and levels of blood lipids and malondialdehyde (MDA) in ovariectomized rats.DESIGN: A completely randomized and controlled experiment.SETTING: Institute of Physiology and Psychology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Lanzhou University.MATERIALS: The experiment was performed in the Key Laboratory of Pre-clinical Study for New Drugs of Gansu Province and the laboratory of Institute of Physiology and Psychology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Lanzhou University from November 2005 to December 2006. Twenty-four healthy female SD rats of 3 months old and (220±2) g were selected. Salvia miltiorrhiza water decoction (equal to 1 g/mL crude drug) was identified and extracted by Drug Control Institute of Gansu Province; MDA kit was purchased from Nanjing Jiancheng Institute of Bioengineering.METHODS: ①The rats were randomly divided into three groups with 8 rats in each group: sham-operated group, ovariectomized group and Salvia miltiorrhiza group. The rats were underwent a bilateral ovariectomy except those in the sham-operated group, which were subjected to a removal of bilateral fat as much as ovariectomized group with the ovaries remained. Rats in sham-operated group and ovariectomized group freely drank water; rats in Salvia miltiorrhiza group freely took 1% water extracts from Salvia miltiorrhiza postoperatively, and the concentration of Salvia miltiorrhiza gradually increased to 12% on the eighth day, which was lasted until the end of the experiment (55 days). ②The food intake of rats in each group was monitored daily, and the body mass was measured every five days. At the end of the experiment, femoral artery blood samples of rats were collected to determine the levels of blood lipids. At the same time,MDA was measured according to the kit.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The body mass, food intake, levels of blood lipids and malondialdehyde in each group.RESULTS: Twenty-four rats all entered the result analysis. ①The body mass of rats in 3 groups was nearly the same before operation (P > 0.05). While the body mass in ovariectomized group on the postoperatively 10th, 20th, 25th, and 55th days was significantly higher than those in sham-operated group (P < 0.01). The body mass in Salvia miltiorrhiza group on the postoperatively 20th, 25th, and 55th days was significantly lower than those in ovariectomized group (P <0.05-0.01). ②The food intake in ovariectomized group on the postoperatively 15th, 40th, and 55th days was significantly higher than those in sham-operated group (P < 0.05-0.01), and that in Salvia miltiorrhiza group was significantly lower than those in ovariectomized group at those 3 time points (P < 0.05-0.01). ③At the end of the experiment, the levels of total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride in ovariectomized group were significantly higher than those in sham-operated group (P < 0.05-0.01). The levels of triglyceride and MDA in Salvia miltiorrhiza group were significantly lower than those in ovariectomized group (P<0.01, 0.05).CONCLUSION: Salvia miltiorrhiza can significantly reduce the body mass and levels of triglyceride and MDA in ovariectomized rats.

Objective To explore the CT findings of mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) of the tracheobronchial tree and improve the diagnostic accuracy. Methods The CT images, histopathological and clinical data in 24 patients with pathologically proved MEC of the tracheobroncbial tree were retrospectively analyzed. Results The clinical symptoms included cough, sputum, fever, wheezing, chest pain and hemoptysis. The patient was proved to be low-grade (n=19) and high-grade (n=5) MEC histopathologically. One lesion was located in trachea, 6 in main bronchus, 12 in lobar bronchus and 5 in segmental, subsegmental and distal bronchus. The tumor presented as no-invasive endotracheobronchial well-defined round-like nodule (n=13, locating in lobar and higher bronchus) and columnar sharp (n=3, locating in main bronchus), or intra-and-extraluminal well-defined round-like nodule or mass (n=6, locating in lobar and lower bronchus) and irregular mass with invasive pattern (n=2, high-grade type). The density of lesion was similar to the muscule and the calcification within lesion was showed in 4 patients on non-enhanced CT. The lesion had marked enhancement in 17 patients on enhanced CT. Obstructive changes were found in 20 patients. Conclusion MEC of the tracheobronchial tree is usually low-grade malignancy and locates in main and lobar bronchus with no-invasive well-defined airway mass, marked enhancement and calcification on CT.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of intradermal needle therapy for urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery. Methods: A total of 100 patients with urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery were randomized into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with basic nursing only, and the observation group was treated with additional intradermal needle therapy. Both groups were treated for 2 courses of treatment. The main symptom scores and residual urine volume of the two groups were observed before and after treatment, and the inpatient time, catheter indwelling time and the clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 96.0% in the observation group and 88.0% in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the main symptom scores and residual urine volume in both groups decreased significantly (all P<0.05), and the scores and residual urine volume in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (all P<0.05). The inpatient time and catheter indwelling time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (both P<0.05). Conclusion: Intradermal needle therapy has an obvious effect in improving symptoms of urinary retention after cervical cancer surgery, and the effect is significantly more persistent than that of simple basic nursing.

Abstract: Objective To retrospectively analyze the investigation and disposal of the COVID-19 outbreak caused by the transmission of the Omicron variant in infected imported cases, and provide basis for COVID-19 outbreak management. Methods The description epidemiological method was used to describe the COVID-19 outbreak in Sanya City from March 31 to April 15, 2022. The propagation chain was mapped and the experience gained and shortcomings identified in emergency responses were analyzed. Results The outbreak resulted in 95 reported locally transmitted COVID-19 cases with a incubation period M(P25, P75) of 4 (3, 5) d. In the 95 cases, the proportion of cases detected through close contact screening, centralized isolation, community screening, control area screening, active treatment (examination), and key population screening were 33.68%, 22.11%, 18.95%, 12.63%, 6.32%, 4.21% and 2.11%, respectively. The epidemic spread for 6 generations, causing 5 clusters of outbreaks and 12 cases of cluster disease. The epidemic affected 12 villages/neighborhood committees, 1 bar, 1 hospital, 1 small clinic, 1 farmer's market, 1 large shopping mall and 1 restaurant in 2 districts of Sanya City. The result of gene sequencing was Omicron variant BA.1.1. Through the immediate launch of emergency plans, nucleic acid and antigen testing, controlling close contact between infected persons and close contacts, suspending indoor business sites, central urban control, and temporary suspension, COVID-19 was controlled within 16 days. Conclusions The transmission chain of this outbreak was clear and was caused by imported cases. Strengthening the management of the pass, doing a good job in information sharing and docking, timely screening for cases, screening, pushing, controlling high-risk groups, and implementing comprehensive control measures, can effectively prevent the spread of the epidemic, providing a reference for the control of epidemic situations in relevant scenarios.
