4.Improvement and practice of high-frequency electrotome detection

Objective To discuss the technical specifications of current high-frequency electrotome detection,to avoid the hidden danger of high-frequency electrotome power detectors,and to measure the leakage current of different kinds of highfrequency electrotome accurately.Methods The power and leakage current of the high frequency electrotome were measured by FLUCK QA-ES Ⅱ high frequency electrotome analyzer.The safety of the two methods was compared before and after the improvement of the power measurement.Four parameters of leakage current were repeatedly measured with the ways of high frequency earthing and high frequency isolation respectively.The maximum measurement of leakage current was recorded.Results The improved connection method was safe in the power measurement.For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency earthing,the values of leakage current were restrained within the range of error with two ways of monopolar loading operation electrode and neutral electrode.For the high-frequency electrotome in the model of high frequency isolation,the values of leakage current were limited within the range of error withtwo ways of monopolar empty operation electrode and neutral electrode.Conclusion The improved high-frequency electrotome power detection method is safe for detectors.The data obtained from the leakage current detection method using the national standard correction method reflect the actual state of the high-frequency electrotome,when the electrotome with earth as the reference is used to detect the leakage current with loading or the insulated electrotome is applied to measuring the leakage current with no loading.

The reform and practice on teaching approaches of microbiology integrated case-based study,heuristic teaching,interaction teaching,comparison expression teaching and inductive learning was explored,which was contraposed the education aims of independent college and student's trait,and combined to the fact of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Zhongshan Institute.The result of practice showed that student enthusiasm for study was mobilized,and better results in teaching were got by applica-tion of diversiform teaching approaches.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical and epidemiological value of semi-quantitative regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF)imaging in children with school phobia. Methods A total of 20 cases diagnosed with school phobia were examined with rCBF.Twelve were males and the other 8 were females.The mean age was(14.2?2.1)years(11-18 years).Semi-quantitative analysis methods were used to investigate the correlations among gender,age and rCBF. Background Oxidative stress-induced apoptosis of human lens epithelial cells (LECs) is associated with c-Jun N terminal kinase (JNK) pathway.Quercetin possesses the antioxidation by inhibiting the JNK pathway.However,whether quercetin can protect LECs from the oxygen-induced damage is still not proved.Objective This study attempted to invatigate the effects and its mechanism of quercetin against hyperbaric oxygeninduced LECs apoptosis. Methods Human LECs line SRA01/04 was cultivated and passaged in MEM medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum and 0.5% non-essential amino acids for 2 hours,with or without 20 μmol/LSP600125 or 1 μmol/L quercetin prior to exposure to hyperbaric oxygen.Each exposure session remained 6 hours in 99% O2 and 1%CO2 with a pressure chamber at 588 kPa.The viability of human LECs was detected by MTT.Cell apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometer using Annexin V-FITC apoptosis detection.The expression of JNK/p-JNK,c-Jun/p-c-Jun,caspase 3 and caspase 9 were detected by Western blot. Results LECs viability (A570 ) was 0.835 ±0.082,0.450±0.083,0.654±0.079,0.649±0.090 respectively in the blank control group,hyperbaric oxygen exposed group,hyperbaric oxygen+SP600125 group and hyperbaric oxygen+quercetin group.The A570 in the hyperbaric oxygen exposed group was significantly lower than the blank control group ( P =0.000),but those in hyperbaric oxygen + SP600125 group and hyperbaric oxygen+quercetin group were significantly higher than the hyperbaric oxygen exposed group ( P =0.003,0.002 ).The numbers of apoptosis cells were 3.17 ±0.74,19.77 ± 1.44,8.45 ±0.93,7.79 ±0.78 respectively in the blank control group,hyperbaric oxygen exposed group,hyperbaric oxygen+SP600125 group and hyperbaric oxygen+quercetin group.Apoptotic LECs were significantly increased in the hyperbaric oxygen exposed group compared with the blank control group ( P=0.000),but those in the hyperbaric oxygen+SP600125 group and hyperbaric oxygen+quercetin group were significantly reduced in comparison with hyperbaric oxygen exposed group (both P=0.000).In additional,expressions of p-JNK,p-c-Jun,caspase 3 and caspase 9 proteins in the cells were elevated in the hyperbaric oxygen exposed group compared with the blank control group (all P =0.000 ),however,those in the hyperbaric oxygen + SP600125 group and hyperbaric oxygen + quercetin group were declined when compared with the hyperbaric oxygen exposed group( all P<0.05 ). Conclusions JNK pathway is involved in the apoptotic procedure of human LECs induced by oxygen stress.SP600125 and certain concentration of quercetin can interdict the JNK signal pathway and endogenous apoptosis of LECs and further alleviate hyperbaric oxygen-induced damage of LECs.
8.Effect of whole-period psychiatric rehabilitation on outpatients with schizophrenia

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of whole-period psychiatric rehabilitation on outpatients with schizophrenia.Methods90 outpatients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into the study group and control group with 45 cases in each group. All cases in two groups received pharmacotherapy, but cases of study group were added with whole-period psychiatric rehabilitation. Assessments were performed before and after study. All subjects were evaluated with the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) and Social Disability Screening Schedule (SDSS).ResultsThe outcome of the study group was significantly superior to the control group on overall improvement according to the reductions of BPRS score, Anergia factor score, thought disturbance factor score, suspiciousness factor score and SDSS score(P<0.05-0.01).ConclusionThe whole-period psychiatric rehabilitation may play an important role in controlling symptoms and improving social function to outpatients with schizophrenia.
9.Expression, Purification of Human Endostatin in Pichia pastoris and the Detection of Its Anti-angiogenic Activity

Endostatin is a potent, endogenous inhibitor of angiogenesis, which corresponds to the C-terminal fragment of collagen ⅩⅧ. The human endostatin gene was amplified from a human fetal liver cDNA library by means of PCR and was cloned into pPIC9K vector. Soluble endostatin was superexpressed in Pichia pastoris (50.5mg/L) . The recombinant protein was purified by cation exchange chromatography with the final yield of more than 95%. Western blotting analysis showed positive immunoreactivity to the expressed product. Recombinant endostatin was able to suppress the angiogenesis on the CAMs. Also, the endostatin inhibited specifically of the migration of HMECs stimulated by bFGF, with EC50 being about 0.4 ?g/ml.
10.High resolution CT study on post-traumatic visual loss

Objective To analyze the high resolution CT(HRCT)appearance and its clinical significance in patients with post-traumatic visual loss.Design Retrospective study.Participants 150 patients with post-traumatic visual loss.Methods The optic canal HRCT of 150 patients admitted from March to June of 2007 by Department of Emergency for post-traumatic visual loss were ana- lyzed retrospectively.Main Outcome Measures Pedilection sites and their incidence rates of optic canal and orbital apex region. Results Optic canal fractures were found in 78 patients,manifesting as rupture and displacement of optic canal wall,accompanied with or without adjacent structure fractures.(1)Among 88 sides of fractures,22 sides presented with single fracture,and 66 sides with multi- ple fractures,revolving several optic canal walls.(2)156 sites of fractures were displayed in 78 patients,and the most frequent types were displacement fractures(47.4%).(3)Accompanied adjacent structure fractures were found in 73 cases of the 78 patients,while 40 cases were found in 72 patients without optic canal fracture.Totally,283 sites of adjacent structure fractures were discovered with the most frequent sites of orbital apex region,accounting for 44.5%.Conclusion HRCT could well display optic canal fractures and accom- panied fractures of adjacent structures,providing important informations for diagnosis and intervention of traumatic visual loss.(Oph- thalmol CHN,2007,16:326-329)
