Mesenehymal stem cells(MSCs)have been successfully isolated from almost all tissues in Mammals,and their multi-lineage differentiation ability leads to the attractive application of MSCs in regenerative medicine.More understanding of the biological characteristics of MSCs,the interaction between MSCs and the local environment,the molecules regulating MSC homing and differentiation have been achieved,which will benefit the effective clinical trials using MSCs as repair cells and/or vehicles for exogenous genes.

Objective To investigate the expression of indu ci ble initric oxide synthase(iNOS) in gastric carcinoma and its relationship with angiogenesis and the prognosis. Methods Immunohistochemical staining method was used to det ect the expression of iNOS, VEGF CD34 in gastric carcinoma. Results The positive expression of iNOS in gastric carcinom a was 58.70% and iNOS was not detected in normal gastric tissue. The rate of the positive expression of iNOS in stage Ⅳ was higher than that in stageⅠ～Ⅲ. Th e positive expression of iNOS in gastric carcinoma with lymph node metastasis wa s higher than those with no metastasis. The MVD was 59.88? 18.02/HP and 55.5 9+ 19.39/HP in gastric carcinoma positive for iNOS and VEGF, repectively, obviou sly higher than those with negative expression of iNOS and VEGF, repectively ( P

Objective To enhance patients' abilities in self-management. Methods We used the nursing project method to analyze reasons and develop standard process of follow-up management and health education. A retro-spective analysis of 84 patients with stage 3 to 4 CKD was performed by nursing project method. This analysis compared the changes after the intervention program,including the ability of self-management,follow-up,medication and diet compliance,and the control rate of physiological indicators. Results By comparison with the intervention before and after,there were significant improvements in each dimension of self-management ability (P<0.001),follow-up, medication and diet compliance were significantly improved(P<0.05),and there were significant improvements in the control rate of systolic pressure and blood uric acid(P<0.001),the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion The application of nursing project can improve self-management ability,the compliance of follow-up,medication and diet as well as physiological indicators in patients with stage 3 to 4 CKD.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of sport walking on heart and lungs functions in old women.MethodsForty-two old women aged from 60 to 69 had sport walking for 4 months; the speed and intensity were controlled according to their heart rate respectively. The indexes of respiration, circulation and rheoencephalography were measured before and after exercise.ResultsAfter exercise, blood-pumping function of heart improved obviously, stroke volume increased from (65.22±11.41)ml to (72.10± 10.78)ml, ejection fraction increased from (60.10±5.03)% to (68.78±6.25)%, while heart rate declined from (77.45±8.69) times/min to (7.89±8.21)times/min, capacity increased from (2.86±0.36)L to (3.34±0.53)L, and maximal voluntary ventilation for every minute increased from (96.14± 15.21)L to (114.02±16.01)L, significantly different compared with that before treatment ( P<0.01). The fluid time of rheoencephalography reduced from (0.171±0.058)s to (0.128±0.049)s ( P<0.01).ConclusionSport walking under proper intensity can improve the function of respiration and circulation system in old women, so it is a good way to keep health for the elders.

To study the quality of Lonicerae iaponicae flos in compound Yuxingcao tablets. Methods: HPLC-ELSD and LC-MS/MS were used to determine Lonicerae flos using macranthoidin A, macranthoside B and dipsacoside B as the control. Re-sults:HPLC-ELSD was suitable for the detection of Lonicerae flos in compound Yuxingcao tablets. LC-MS/MS was used to verify the results, which could identify the certified or counterfeit Lonicerae iaponicae flos in the samples. Conclusion:The two methods can be used to control the quality of Lonicerae iaponicae flos in compound Yuxingcao tablets.

Purpose To assess the efficacy and prognostic factors of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) negative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Materials and Methods 67 AFP negative HCC patients and 67 AFP positive HCC patients underwent TACE, the survival of two groups was compared, and the prognostic factors were also analyzed. Results All 134 HCC patients were followed up for 24 months, the one-year, two-year and five-year survival rate of AFP negative and AFP positive HCC patients were 86.6%, 58.2%, 31.3%; and 81.6%, 37.8%, 13.4%, respectively, with median survival time of 34.0 months and 19.0 months, respectively. The survival rate were statistically different between AFP negative and AFP positive HCC patients (P<0.001). In AFP positive group, the median survival time of patients with AFP>400 ng/ml and AFP ≤400 ng/ml were 18.0 months and 31.0 months, respectively with statistical difference (P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that Child-Pugh classification, histological grade, tumor size, tumor number, portal vein tumor thrombus, BCLC staging and AFP level were independent risk factors influencing the prognosis of HCC patients. Conclusion AFP negative and AFP positive (AFP ≤400 ng/ml) HCC patients achieves good efficacy and prognosis by TACE, Child-Pugh classification, portal vein tumor thrombus, BCLC staging and AFP level were risk factors influencing the prognosis of HCC patients.
