Objective To explore whether depressive disorder is one of risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD) in enrolled patients and observe the level of inflammation markers in coronary artery disease patients with depression. Methods In all patients, we recoded clinical information and data from Hamilton Depression Rating Scale for Depression( HRSD)and measured concentration of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), tumour necrosis factor α (TNFα) and hypersensitive C-reaction protein (hsCRP). Results Among 87 patients with coronary artery disease, depressive disorder was diagnosed in 26 patients, the prevalence of depressive disorder was 29. 9%. Among 101 patients without coronary artery disease, 12 patients were suffering from depressive disorder, the prevalence of depressive disorder was 11.90%. The prevalence of depressive disorder in coronary artery disease group was statistically higher than that in non-coronary heart disease group (29.8% vs.11.9%, P<0. 01). The incidence of coronary artery disease was associated with age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia and depression. Life events and stage of heart function occurred differently between CAD patients with and without depression (P<0. 05). There were no differences in the degree of coronary artery stenosis and the type of treatment (P>0. 05) between the two groups. There were higher concentration of MCP-1 in coronary artery disease patients with depression, but no remarkable difference in hsCRP and TNFa.Conclusions There is high prevalence of depressive disorder, which is one of risk factor for coronary artery disease. The depressive disorder may be associated with inflammation biomarker in patients with coronary artery disease.

Objective To compare the efficacy and predictability of sphere-cylinder-combined LASIK and two-zone cross-cylinder LASIK for the correction of moderate and high astigmatism.Design Prospective, comparative case series.Participants 40 eyes of 35 patients with mixed astigmatism undergoing LASIK.Methods All patients were treated with Visx Star IV LASIK system.20 eyes of 19 cases were used for sphere-cylinder combined LASIK mode and 20 eyes of 16 cases for two-zone-cross-cylinder LASIK mode. All sub- jects were followed more than 6 months.Main Outcome Measures Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA),best spectacle-corrected visual acuity (BSCVA),spherical diopter, residual astigmatism and corneal thickness. Results For the patients who received two-zone-cross-cylinder LASIK mode, the UCVA at 6 months after surgery was 0.5 or above, and 13 eyes (65.0%) were 1.0 or above. For the patients who received sphere-cylinder-combined LASIK mode, the UCVA at 6 months after surgery was 0.5 or above, and 11 eyes (55.0%) was 1.0 or above (P=0.683).The residual astigmatism for the patients received sphere-cylinder-combined LASIK mode was (1.15?1.00)D,while for the patients received cross-cylinder LASIK mode was (1.13?0.62)D(P=0.045).The remotion depth of cornea for sphere-cylinder-combined LASIK mode and cross-cylinder LASIK mode was (36.73?13.12)?m and (15.60?6.85)?m,respectively (P= 0.031).Condusion The UCVA,residual astigmatism and corneal thickness after surgery in two-zone-cross-cylinder LASIK mode were better than that in sphere-cylinder-combined LASIK mode for the correction of moderate and high astigmatism.

15 SARS-CoV N Protein Interacting Protein (NPIP) were selected from host cells using Yeast Two-hybrid system (Y2H). These are Angiogenin, acyglycerol kinase, cytochrome oxydase subunit I, CXC chemokine ligand 16, epidermal growth factor receptor pathway substrate 15, glutathione S-transferase kappa 1,integrin beta 1, jun oncogene, NIMA (never in mitosis gene a)-related kinase 10, protein tyrosine kinase 2 beta, homo sapiens SH3KBP1 binding protein 1 and ubiquitin specific peptidase 53. With the aid of immunological co-precipitation (CO-IP), it was confirmed that chemokine CXCL16 was the interactor with SARS-CoV N protein in host cells.

Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
Four specific salt-tolerant fungi for dissolving phosphate rock (FM) w ere isolated from the coastal saline soils. It was found that the biomass and a b ility to release phosphate from the materials decreased with increasing of the N aCl content. During pH7.0~8.5, the biomass and ability of to release phospho rus from the materials of FM1 decreased sharply with pH rising, but the FM2 and FM4 decreased not considerably, optimal pH for FM3 was at pH8.5. At pH9.0, the bi oma ss and ability of to release phosphorus from the materials decreased quickly. F M2 was stable at alkaline and high salt content condition.

Objective To explore the incidence and risk factors of bacterial infection after othtotopic liver transplantation (OLT). Methods Altogether 56 OLT recipients from January 2005 to October 2007 were included in the study. The incidents and the related variables of the infection were analyzed retrospectively. The related variables were evaluated using multivariate logistic regression model to identify the significant risk factors. Results Bacterial infection was confirmed in 29 recipients (51.8%). Among them, the lung infection was the most common site (53.7%). The Gram-positive cocci were 46.3%, while the Gram-negative bacilli were 53.7%. The risk factors for bacterial infection included duration of the operation and detained respirator using. Conclusion Bacterial infection is a major complication following OLT. Surveillance for the risk factors, enhancement the skill of operation, and improving the recovery of respiratory function is the key to decreasing the incidence of bacterial infection after transplantation.

Purpose To probe into the value of M-mode echocardiography and spectral Doppler echocardiography in diagnosing fetal atrial premature beats.Materials and Methods Echocardiography examinations were given to the seventy-three fetuses around 16-40 gestational weeks which were found suffering from fetal arrhythmia in the clinical examinations by using M-mode echocardiography and spectral Doppler. Thirty-two of them were screened out with fetal atrial premature beats, and their ultrasonic cardiograms were analyzed. The follow-up visits were later conducted. Results Among the thirty-two cases with fetal atrial premature beats, fourteen were attacked frequently, and the other eighteen were attacked accidentally. Two cases were documented with muscular ventricular septal defect. Apart from two missing cases, the rest thirty cases were found to be recovered from arrhythmia before or after birth in the follow-up visits. The disappearance rate of atrialpremature beats in the fetuses attacked frequently by the disease before birth was clearly lower than that in those attacked accidentally (P<0.05). Muscular ventricular septal defect in the two cases were found closed after birth. Conclusion M-mode echocardiography and spectral Doppler echocardiography, as non-invasive imagining techniques to take antenatal examination of fetal arrhythmia, have advantages such as reliable, direct, convenient and can be used repetitively, therefore can provide important information for clinical treatment and prognosis.
