Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2020;55(12):2827-2833
Macrophages play an important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Previously, studies have shown that changes in the metabolism of glucose, choline, amino acids and lipids in macrophages of patients with RA can lead to the accumulation of metabolic intermediates which can act as inflammatory signaling molecules to aggravate the inflammation and cause complications. Therefore, a full understanding of the metabolic process of macrophages in RA patients will lay the foundation for macrophage-targeted therapy of RA. In this review, not only the role of macrophage abnormal metabolism in the pathogenesis of RA but also the research progress on macrophage-targeted drugs in RA treatment will be discussed.

Objective To describe a new method of reconstruction of anterior crucial ligament(ACL) so as to avoid additional injury of peripatellar tissue and complications caused by procuring autograft from the patellar tendon. Methods To reconstruct the injuried ACL under arthroscopy by means of identical length of allogenic achilles tendon which was stored in deep hypothermia. At the same time, injuried medial collateral ligament(MCL) was reconstructed by using the achilles tendon. Results From January 1996 to June 2000, the ACLs in 31 cases were reconstructed by allogenic achilles tendon under arthroscopy. The average period of follow up of 25 cases(26 sides) was 18.9 months(12-49 months). Among them, 4 injuried MCLs were also reconstructed, 5 torn meniscus were sutured, and 6 were resected or partially resected. According to the Lysholm score method, the average score was 53.5 preoperatively, and 84 postoperatively, the satisfactory rate was 84.6%. The objective examination showed anterior drawer test(ADT) positive in 23 preoperatively, 1 postoperatively; Lachman test was positive in 25 preoperatively, 1 postoperatively, and weak positive in 2 postoperatively. There were 2 with pain in knee joints and 3 with limitation of activity of knee joints(5?-20?)postoperatively. Conclusion Allogenic achilles tendon, a materials can be procured in advance, and the injury and complications caused by the autograft can be decreased, and MCL can be reconstructed at the same time. With this technique, the material is convenient to obtain, the operative method is simple, and there is no need for internal fixation.

Objective To understand the sanitary quality of cosmetics in Wuhan. Methods The sanitary quality of cosmetics including hair care cosmetics, skin care cosmetics, beauty cosmetics, perfumes and cosmetics for special use sampled from 23 cosmetics manufactures and 15 large-scale whole-salers and retail traders in Wuhan were examined during 1996~2001. Results The annual qualified rates of cosmetics were 93.49%~98.69% in 1996~2000. It was 95.65% for hair care cosmetics, 92.41% for skin care cosmetics, 98.13% for beauty cosmetics, 100% for purfumes and 95.56% for special use cosmetics respectively. They also were 93.62%~98.69% for microbiological indexes and 99.17%~100% for chemical indexes respectively. The total count of bacteria of skin care cosmetics seriously exceeded the related sanitary standard. Conclusion The main problem of the sanitary quality of cosmetics was the microbiological pollution.
6.Progress in the studies of Mrg receptor family
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
Recently,a large family of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) has been identified as mas-related genes (Mrgs),Which are specific expressed in small diameter sensory neurons in the trigeminal and dorsal root ganglia, suggesting a role in pain transmission.Mrgs receptors have been shown to modulate some physiological and pathological activities, such as pain and immunity. It is important to discover ligands of Mrgs for understanding and elucidating their potential physiological and pathophysiological roles. The studies on pharmacological spectrum of NPS make it an interesting target for pharmaceutical development.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(46):9192-9196
BACKGROUND:Sunshine time in northem region is short in winter, the infants and young children are vulnerable to lack of vitamin D. Up-to-date textbooks and the guidelines formulated by Chinese Medical Association account that glass block ultraviolet and indoor exposure to human is meaningless. Early studies have shown that sunlight exposure through glass had meaning in rats, but it was difficult to accurately quantify, while outdoor exposure in rats is difficult to continue. This expedment uses B-band ultraviolet rays, which has the impact on vitamin D metabolism in some wavelengths,to facilitate further study.OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of ultraviolet B exposure in laboratory on 25-hydroxy vitamin D(25-OHD)level and bone metabolism in the serum of growing rats.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized controlled animal experiment was performed in June 2007 in the ExperimantalAnimal Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital.MATERIALS:Forty male 21-day-old Wistar rats were employed in this study. Ultraviolet waves were sourced from an artificial UV light instrument(wavelength 280-350 μm,irradiation intensity 5.5μW/cm~2).METHODS:Forty Wistar rats were divided into four groups by random sampling table, exposed to different doses of ultraviolet Bwave. Direct exposure group:direct exposure for 20 minutes at an irradiation dose of 4.2 mJ/(cm~2·d);Indirect exposure 60 and 120 min groups:exposure through a single pane of glass for 60 and 120 minutes at an irradiation dose of 0.36 and 0.72 mJ/(cm~2·d).Control group:no exposure was given. For the direct exposure group, the lamp was placed above the cage. A 3-mm-thick pane of glass(common window glass) was placed underneath the lamp in the indirect exposure groups. Exposure groups were given irradiation for successive 20 days.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Serum 25-OHD,bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP),and bone mineral density (BMD) were measured on day 21.RESULTS:25-OHD was significantly higher in all exposure groups compared with the control group (P<0.001),but there was no difference between the direct exposure group and two indirect exposure groups. BALP was significantly lower in the exposure groups than control group (P<0.001),it was also significantly lower in the 120-min indirect group than in the 60-min indirect group (P=0.022). There was a positive correlation between exposure dose and 25-OHD (r=0.555,P=0.002) and a negative correlation between exposure dose and BALP (r=0.595,P=0.001),also a negative correlation between 25-OHD and BALP (r=0.569,P=0.002),but there were no differences between groups for BMD. Exposure dose exhibited a threshold, serum 25-OHD and BALP no longer increased or decreased when it was 0.36 mJ/(cm~2·d).CONCLUSION:Midwave ultraviolet rays might affect serum 25-OHD and BALP levels in the growing rats through glass exposure, with no significant difference compared to direct exposure. The B-band ultraviolet exposure dose may play an important role in serum 25-OHD synthesis, but there is a threshold dose for the synthesis. Low-dose and prolonged exposure time also achieve threshold exposure.
