World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(5):856-858
Nursing care was given to 48 HBV-related liver failure cases with abdominal distension through the application of Qi-Tou-Xiao-Gu therapy. It was showed that key points in nursing care should contain aspects of
correct selection of cases, detailed explanation, observation during application, maintain the moisture of Qi-Tou-Xiao-Gu stick, emotional regulation, and cross infection prevention. Good nursing care can improve patients' com-fort degree and satisfaction to the treatment. It can also effectively relieve abdominal distention and reduce ad-verse reactions.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
Objective To study the value of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in interventional treatment of congenital heart diseases. Methods TTE was used to identify patients with atrial septal defect (ASD, n=26), ventricular septal defect (VSD, n=23) or ductus arteriosus (PDA, n=16). They received interventional treatment with domestic made nitinol occluder. The TTE was then used to monitor the entire process of the surgery and to assess the effect of the surgery. Results The treatment with indigenous nitinol occluder failed in five patients, including two with ASD, two with VSD, and one with PDA. The other sixty-one patients were freated successfully with the occluder. Once the procedure was completed, those patients were found to have neither abnormal valvular regurgination as shown by TTE, nor any shunt flow around the occluder as shown by both TTE and angiocardiography. One month later, TTE demonstrated that the position of all the occluclers remained stable, and no residual leakage or shunt was detected by TTE in all of the sixty-one patients, and the same results were obtained after three months. However, two days after the surgery, ECG showed that three of the patients with VSD suffered from different degrees of atrioventricular block on the second postoperative day, but they eventually recovered after treatment. The successful rate of the procedure was 93.8% (61/65). Conclusions Transthoracic echocardiography may play an important role at three stages (pre-, during- and after), i.e. to select the most suitable patients before the procedure, accurately identify the location, and release of the occluder at the end of the operation; and finally, it serves as a promising method to evaluate the treatment result in patients during their follow-up period.

Objective: To explore the relation of psychological abuse and neglect in childhood and college students’ mental health. Methods: Cluster sampling was used to select 457 college students studying in the Central South University and Hunan Commercial College as subjects. The general information questionnaire,Child Psychological Abuse and Neglect Scale (CPANS) and Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) were completed by all subjects. Results: 45.30% of the respondents experienced psychological abuse or neglect in childhood. The total score and scores of each factor of SCL-90 of the group of psychological abuse combined with neglect was above those of psychological-abuse group,neglect-group and neither-abuse-nor-neglect-group. Additionally, ten factor scores and total score of SCL-90 of neglect-group were distinctly higher than those of neither-abuse-nor-neglect-group. The scores of each aspect and sub-scale of CPANS were significantly correlated with every factor and total score of SCL-90(P

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 1992;0(04):-
Objective To compare the accuracy of output factor calculation for rectangular inserts of electron beams by using three kinds of algorisms: square root, one dimensional formula and area periphery ration. Methods The differences between the values of output factor calculated by these three algorithms mentioned above and the results measured by ionization chamber for seven rectangular inserts were compared. Results When beam energy was fixed, the difference between calculated and measured output factors was larger for area periphery ration algorithm than that of the square root or one dimensional formula algorithms. The electron cone size, beam energy and rectangular inserts size all had some effect on the value of output factor calculated by the three algorithms. Conclusions The area periphery ration algorithm is not recommended for clinical use because of its great deviation. One dimensional formula and square root algorisms possess a good accuracy. One dimensional formula is superior to square root algorithm, but square root algorithm is more practical for clinical use.

Objective To study the correlation between isokinetic parameters and modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) in ankle spasticity as-sessment. Methods 18 stroke patients (spasticity group) and 16 healthy subjects (control group) in our hospitals from August 2014 to March 2015 were included. MAS was used to assess the ankle muscular tension. The ankle passive movement of both groups was measured with BIODEX isokinetic motor assessment system under 10 °/s, 60 °/s, 120 °/s, 180 °/s, 240 °/s. The peak torque (PT), peak torque/body weight (PT/BW), average torque (AT), and slopes of the linear regression curve of torque-velocity (SLOPE) were recorded. The correlation of the isokinetic paramenters and the MAS were tested with Spearman correlation analysis. Results The PT, PT/BW and AT were higher in the spasticity group than in the control group (P<0.05). And they increased as the angular velocity increased, and slowed after 120 °/s. The corre-lation coefficient of MAS and PT, PT/BW, AT, SLOPE were from 0.3043 to 0.7632 (P<0.01). Conclusion The isokinetic parameters were speed-dependent and closely related to MAS. 120 °/s was of the highest sensitivity, and the SLOPE under this anglular velocity was highly correlated with MAS.

Virologica Sinica 2008;23(1):63-67
A outbreak of disease with symptoms of evisceration and skin ulteration led to mass mortality in sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus cultivated in indoor ponds near the Dalian coast from December 2004 to April 2005. Spherical virus particles with a diameter of 75-200 nm were found in the cytoplasm of cells in the water-system, the alimentary canal and in the respiratory trees of the diseased and dying sea cucumber individuals by electron microscopic observation of ultrathin sections. Examination by negative stained samples revealed that all the diseased sea cucumbers were infected by the virus, while the healthly ones cultivated outside the contagious area were not. Two bacterial strains were also isolated from the diseased animals. When exposed to a medium containing the virus particles, regardless of whether the bacterial suspension was added, healthy sea cucumbers exhibited identical disease symptoms as the ones in the indoor ponds, and had a mortality of 90%-100%. However, when exposed to a medium in which there was only one of the two bacterial strains, 30%-80% of the sea cucumbers were infected and nearly 20% died. Negative staining showed that the viral particles were detected only in the bodies of the tested animals that were exposed to the viral medium. Histopathologically, the diseased sea cucumbers are characterized by karyopycnosis, and disintegration of the endoplasmic reticula and mitochondria in the epithelial cells in the water-system, the respiratory tree and the alimentary canal.
