Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1985;14(1):259-262
The discrepancy between the myelographic and the operative locations of the tumor, which is allowed by a redundant nerve root, is very unusual. Though unusal, this possible motility should be kept in mind during surgery for cauda equina tumors. Authors report a case of a mobile neurilemmoma of the cauda equina which was successfully removed, and discuss the pathogenesis of mobile meurilemmoma.

Korean Journal of Spine 2013;10(1):41-43
Redundant Nerve Roots (RNRs) is an uncommon clinical condition characterized by a tortuous, serpentine, large and elongated nerve root of the cauda equina. To our knowledge, most cases of RNRs are associated with lumbar stenosis, and RNRs associated with lumbar disc herniation has not been reported until now. Here we present a rare case of unusual RNRs associated with lumbar disc herniation mimicking intradural disc herniation.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1988;17(4):853-860
The authors report a case of intradural myxopapillary ependymoma of the cauda equina that was clinically similary to herniated lumbar disc disease. The tumor was totally removed under microsurgical condition and the diagnosis was confirmed pathologically.

A case of paraganglioma of cauda equina is presented. This was first described in 1972, since when over 50 cases of this tumor have been described in the world literature. The patient's symptoms were relieved by decompressive laminectomy and subtotal removal of mass with radiotherapy. The pathological examination revealed paraganglioma.

Authors experienced intra-root cavernous angioma which is very rare case among cavernous angiomas of cauda equina. Our intra-root cavernous angioma was confirmed by findings from operating field and microscopic examination. We report this case with review of the literature.
