Verrucous carcinoma is an uncommon low-grade well-differentiated malignant neoplasm that commonly arises on acral and mucosal sites. It is often both clinically and histologically misdiagnosed because of its slow growth and low cytologic atypia, respectively. We describe the case of a 74-year-old female with a papillomatous mass arising on a muscle flap and skin graft site on the left foot that had delay in diagnosis for more than 30 years. This case highlights verrucous carcinoma as consideration for both clinical and histologic differential diagnoses in chronic non-healing fungating tumor on the foot. Though non-aggressive in its course, the tumor can cause extensive local destruction of contiguous structures, hence, timely diagnosis and excision is paramount to prevent limb amputation.

Verrucous carcinoma of the oral cavity is a rare tumor representing 4.5-9.0% of oral squamous tumors. Involvement of the lip is less common within the oral cavity. It presents as a slowly enlarging, exophytic warty growth with extensive local invasion, though well-differentiated and rarely metastaticl. We herein repart a case of verrucous carcinoma on the lower lip in a 31-year-old man.

Verrucous carcinoma is simply very well differentiated malignant neoplasm. It is unique only in that the diagnosis is difficult to make histologically and locally invasive but metastasis is rare. Clinically, verrucous carcinoma is often warty and usually exophytic. It can be multicentric. It looks uniquely epithelial. When biopsy is done, the pathologist uses words such as "hyperplasia", "keratosis" or "fibrosis", however is reluctant to use the word "carcinoma". Verrrucous carcinoma can be present in three forms: oral or mucosal, genital, and plantar. Base of tongue is uncommon site in it. Authors are reporting a case of huge verrucous carcinoma of base of tongue with a view of the related articles.

A male patient of 71 years old was admitted due to repeated hoarseness for two years which got worse accompanied with dyspnea so that to receive tracheotomy in another hospital more than one month ago. The two vocal cord biopsies carried out in the other hospital before showed vocal keratosis and squamous cell hyperplasia. Electronic laryngoscopy result showed normal epiglottis. a lot of saliva at hypopharynx, and rough arytenoid mucosa. The supraglottic area was remarkably swollen and the glottal area can not be observed clearly. The biopsy of throat was unable to conduct. Barium swallow examination revealed no obvious space-occupying lesion in piri form fossa or esophagus. Larynx CT scan showed a space-occupying lesion in the laryngeal cavity on the right side of the neck involving the thyroid cartilage. The patient was finally treated by total laryngectomy. cervical infected tissue resection. grafting transposition with pectoralis major flap and tracheostomy. The postoperative pathology showed laryngeal verrucous carcinoma.

Verrucous carcinoma that occurs only in the bladder is a very rare, well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. The tumor is a histologically and clinically distinctive variant of squamous cell carcinoma, and is almost exclusively associated with bilharzial infection. We report the radiologic findings of a case of verrucous carcinoma of the bladder unassociated with bilharzial infection.

Verrucous czrcinoma is a well accepted clinicopathologic entity that is a lowgrade variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This tumor develops typically in moist areas which are frequent site of chronic inflammation. We herein report a case of verrucous carcinoma developed in a burn scar on. the posterolateral aspect of left popliteal fossa.
