1.Hypertensive effect of sublingual captopril
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):11-14
32 patients (male: 21) with average ages of 62 (11,4, hypertension (systolic blood pressure: 180mmHg, diastolic blood pressure: 110 mmHg) received the sublingual captopril at dose of 25 mg. The hemodynamometery was implemented before and after 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes of using the drug. If the blood pressure was not reduced to wanted level, the patient indicated more one tablet. If the blood pressure did not reduce about 25%, patients will be treated by combination of captopril with other drugs. The results have shown that efficacy at dose of 25 mg, 15 cases, at dose of 50 mg: 12 cases; ineffect and poor effect: 5 cases. Initial time of effect: 7 (1.04 minutes after using; time for maximum effect: 61 (24.3 minutes after using. The study concluded that captopril can be used in the urgent hypertension

3.A preparation of captopril sustained release tablet
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):28-31
to build formula of captopril sustained release matrix tablets with EC and HPMC, survey the affects of formulation components and optimization of formula by using D- Optimal. Subject: captopril, EC, HPMC, lactose, and starch. Method: prepare tablet, assess the quality of captopril sustained release matrix tablets. Conclusions: From the experiment design, captopril sustained release oral tablets with half life of 12h can be prepared, and by optimized method, the proper formula was found. To produce captopril tablets, it's necessary to further study in large scale, to perform test of bio-equivalence and stability of tablet
