1.Radioactive 125I interstitial brachytherapy damages to intestinal tract tissue and protection research pro-gress
Journal of International Oncology 2008;35(6):453-455
Radioactive 125I interstitial brachytherapy is easy to cause the intestinal tract tissue damage. Its mechanism possibly correlates to the quick renewal speed of the intestinal tract tissue and a majority of ceils in M, G2 and late S phases. The tolerant dose of intestinal tract tissue is approximately 160 Gy. If the absorbed dose is higher than the tolerant one, the intestinal tract tissue will be damaged. In the clinical practice of radio-active 125I interstitial brachytherapy, through the strict plan of the TPS system before the operation, by using ul-trasound, CT, MR/and other imaging technologies in the operating process and establishing the suitable barrier protection between the seeds and intestinal tract tissue, the radioactive damage of the intestinal tract tissue my be reduced.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1984;0(01):-
Objective To investicate the effect of apoptosis of human ovarian cancer cell line SKOV_(3) and 3AO exposed to arsenic trioxide on telomerase activity and its mechanisms. Methods The human ovarian cancer cell line SKOV3 and 3OA were treated with arsenic trioxide of different concentration for 12,24,72 h.Cell morphology,PCR-ELISA,RT-PCR were adopted to detect the cell apoptosis and telomerase activity and the expression of human telomerase catalytic subunit(hTERT).Results Arsenic trixide could induce apoptisis of ovarian cancer cell lines, but there exists difference in drug concentration, type of cell line.A dose and time-dependent decline of telomerase activity after SKOV_(3) and 3AO cells exposed to arsenic trixide, meanwhile hTERT mRNA was down-regulated.Conclusion Telomerase activity and hTERT mRNA expression have close relationship and play an important role in arsenic trioxide inducing SKOV_(3) and 3AO cells apoptosis.
3.Morphological changes of mitochondria in apoptosis of human ovarian cancer cells induced by arsenic trioxide in vitro
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1988;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the morphological changes of mitochondria and the expression of bcl-2 in the apoptotic SKOV3 and 3AO cells induced by arsenic trioxide (As2O3). Methods Light and electron microscopy, flow cytometry analysis, immunofluorescence flow cytometry analysis were used to detect the apoptotic cells, ultrastructural alteration of mitochondria, and the changes of mitochondrial transmembrane potentials (??m). Results As2O3 induced apoptosis of ovarian cancer cell lines was in a dose dependent manner and various in different cell lines. As2O3 also made a decrease of ??m in SKOV3 and 3AO cells in a dose independent fashion. Electron microscopy indicated that the mitochondria showed swollen, balloon-like appearance and outer membrane disrupted 72 h after As2O3 treatment. Expression of bcl-2 was down-regulated in SKOV3 and 3AO cells after As2O3 treatment. Conclusion The reduce of ??m and down-regulation of bcl-2 may play the key roles in the process of As2O3-induced apoptosis.

Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2009;28(2):181-183
Objectives To investigate fluoride in drinking waters and fluorosis status and evaluate the effectiveness of fluoride-reducing projects in Shaanxi Province from 2005 to 2007. Methods In the Shaanxi province-wide, the 10 endemic areas of fluorosis were chosen according to historical data as focusing areas for investigation. The village was considered as investigation spot, 5 water samples were collected from each village for investigating of fluoride content. Four water samples were collected from each fluoride-reducing project for evaluating its effectiveness. Fluoride concentrations in drinking water were measured by fluoride-selective electrode method or speetrophotometry. When fluoride content in drinking water was greater than 1.00 mg/L, the epidemical study wasd conducted to investigate fluorosis patients, focusing on investigating of dental fluorosis prevalence in 8 to 12-year-old children and skeletal fluorosis prevalence in adults. Dental fluorosis of children was diagnosed by using Dean's method, and adult skeletal fluorosis was diagnosed according to National Standard for Clinical Diagnosis of Endemic Skeletal Fiuorosis(GB 16396-1996). Results The fluoride content in drinking water from 6390 villages was measured. The fluoride content of drinking water of 2619 villages ranged from 1.0 to<2.0 mg/L, where 1 654 998 people exposed. Additionally, the fluoride content of water of 845 villages ranged from 2.0 to<4.0 mg/L, where 355 623 people exposed. Moreover, the fluoride contents of water of 272 villages exceeded 4.0 mg/L, where 111 466 people exposed. The median of fluoride content in drinking water was 1.15% in the whole province, and fluoride content in drinking water exceeded 1.00 mg/L in Weinan, Xianyang and Yulin where were concentrated distribution areas of high fluoride water. Among 3115 fluoride-reducing projects, the fluoride content of drinking water of 1269 projects ranged from 1.0 to<2.0 mg/L, where 1 415 877 people exposed. Additionally, the fluoride content of drinking water of 120 projects ranged from 2.0 to<4.0 mg/L, where 43 888 people exposed. Moreover, the fluoride content of drinking water of 14 projects exceeded 4.0 mg/L, where 5960 people exposed. The detectable rate of dental fluorosis of 8 to 12 year-old children and skeletal fluorosis of adults reached 37.4%(16 489/44 081) and 5.1%(15 877/310 993), respectively. Conclusions The widely distribution of high-fluoride in drinking water still contributes to the prevalence of fluorosis in Shaanxi Province. The quality of fluoride-reducing projects should be further improved.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2010;30(9):585-587
Objective To analyze the association of DOG1 protein with gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GIST). Methods Seventy-seven patients diagnosed with GIST between January 2005 and June 2010 were enrolled. The DOG1 expression in GIST was determined using immunohistochemistry. The result was compared with that of CD117 and CD34. Results Of 77 GIST patients, the DOG1 was expressed in 74 (96.10%) patients and CD117 in 70 (90. 9%) patients, with no significant difference between DOG1 and CD117 (P>0.05). DOG1 expression was not related to the risk stratification of the tumor, site, age and gender (P>0. 05). Of 7 GIST patients with negative CD117,6 patients were positive for DOG1 expression. Whereas 2 of 3 DOG1 negative patients were positive for CD117 expression. Conclusions DOG1, as a novel marker for GIST,has high sensitivity as CD117. It is a good complementarity in diagnosis of GIST when combine DOG1 with CD117, especially in diagnosis of CD117 negative patients. However, the DOG1 can not be used as an index in eveluating the risk stratification of the GIST.

9.Metabotropic glutamate receptors and stress response
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(02):-
The function of metabotropic glutamate receptor(mGluRs) in stress response was increasingly gaining recognition. The mGluRs can regulate the level of glucocorticoid(GC), the neurotoxin of glutamate and synaptic plasticity (LTP,LTD). So it may play an important role in stress response. The function of distinct type of mGluRs is different. Their mechanisms in stress response are very complex. So it is very essential to study the function of mGluRs in stress. Furthermore we can explore a new type drug targeting at mGluRs to cure the stress damage.-

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2014;(6):867-873,874
Aim To study the effects of timeshare ad-ministration of Jiaweisinisan ( JWSNS ) on biological rhythm of rats with chronic stress. Methods Unpre-dictable mild chronic stress was used. Cosine rhythm analysis was adopted to observe and analyze the chan-ges of circadian rhythms of body temperature and se-cretion of 5-hydroxy tryptamine ( 5-HT ) , melatonin ( MT) and corticosterone ( CORT ) and the effects of JWSNS. Serum 5-HT,MT and CORT were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results Three groups of administration of JWSNS had no inhibitory effects on weight gain in model rats, but improved the sucrose preference ( P <0.01 ) , which shows JWSNS has anti-depressant effects. Chronic stress made diur-nal temperature volatile in rats, the phenomenon of low-er body temperature in the day and higher in the night was more obvious in the valley value, which could be inhibited by administration of JWSNS at 17 : 30 or at 7: 30 and 17 : 30 respectively ( P <0 . 05 , P <0.01 ) .
Administration at 17 : 30 had biphasic regulatory effects on the peak and valley value, while administra-tion at 7 : 30 and 17 : 30 respectively mainly acted on the light phase, namely regulated the valley value. Rats with chronic stress showed delays of body temperature rhythm, namely postponed phase, which could only be inhibited by administration at 7 : 30 . There were de-creases in votatility and disorders in secretion rhythm, as was shown by dramatically accelerated phase of ser-um 5-HT, MT and CORT in rats with chronic stress. Administration of JWSNS at 17 : 30 or at 7 : 30 and 17 : 30 respectively had inhibitory effects on lower ser-um level of 5-HT in model rats ( P <0.01 ) . Adminis-tration of JWSNS at 17 : 30 could inhibit the decreases in volatility of serum MT(P<0. 01),while administra-tion of JWSNS at 7 : 30 or at 7 : 30 and 17 : 30 re-spectively could inhibit the secretion rhythm disorders ( P<0.01 ) . Administration of JWSNS at 17 : 30 or at 7 : 30 and 17 : 30 respectively could inhibit the CORT
increase and the decreases in volatility. ConclusionAdministration of JWSNS at 7 : 30 achieves anti-de-pressant effects by regulating rhythms of hormones and neurotransmitters. Administration of JWSNS at 17 : 30 achieves anti-depressant effects by adjusting the secre-tion of hormones and neurotransmitters, while adminis-
tration of JWSNS at 7 : 30 and 17 : 30 respectively a-chieves anti-depressant effects by those two above-men-tioned aspects.
