Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2012;26(18):793-794
OBJECTIVE:
The purpose is to report a calcification of the cartilaginous of the tracheobronchial case in child, and to recognize the clinical and imaging features on Keutel syndrome.
METHOD:
A comprehensive analysis of the clinical data and X-ray,CT. Some literatures involving some symptoms of this child were reviewed.
RESULT:
This patient diagnosed with Keutel syndrome finally.
CONCLUSION
When we meet calcification of the cartilaginous of the tracheobronchial patient in clinic, it may be Keutel syndrome.

Korean Journal of Radiology 2013;14(5):723-726
Amyloidosis is a rare disease characterized by the formation of pathological protein deposits in organs or tissues. It is typically a systemic disease which can occur in a localized form. Amyloidosis of the breast is uncommon. Common mammographic findings of breast amyloidosis are multiple nodules with or without calcifications. We report a case of primary localized breast amyloidosis presenting suspicious microcalcifications on mammography without associated masses. Mammography in a 72-year-old woman displayed multiple, linearly distributed, irregular and rod-like calcifications in the subareolar area of the left breast. The patient underwent surgical excision under mammo-guided needle localization and the pathology was confirmed to be breast amyloidosis.

Chinese Journal of Surgery 2002;40(2):124-126
OBJECTIVESTo investigate the diagnosis and treatment cervical disc calcification in children.
METHODS13 children with cervical disc calcification were analysed retrospectively. Cervical pain was observed after influenza in 5 children, suddenly cervical pain in 3, sudden wryneck in 3 cases. Two children with this disease were accidentally found after injury.
RESULTS14 calcifications of cervical disks were found in 13 children. Clinical symptoms disappeared after symptomatic management. Calcification disappeared in 5 months.
CONCLUSIONSCervical disc calcification in children is a kind of benign self-limited disease. Correst understanding of pathophysiologic course of this disease helps to avoid unnecessary surgery.

8.Calcification of bilateral ureters: a novel association with systemic lupus erythematosus.

Chinese Medical Journal 2012;125(12):2235-2237
A 16-year-old female patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) presented with abdominal pain and oliguria, after one month of hospital treatment with methylprednisolone and cyclophosphamide. Computed tomography of the abdomen revealed the calcification of bilateral superior segmental ureteral wall. Computed tomography urography revealed stenosis of bilateral ureters. This calcification may be associated with lupus-induced inflammatory reaction of ureteral endomembrane. By receiving the ureteral catheters, her abdominal pain and oliguria had been completely resolved. After discharge, she underwent the surgery of cutaneous ureterostomy in the local hospital. During two years follow-up, her condition is stable without any symptom of the urinary system.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2005;22(2):360-362
In order to preprocess mammograms for diagnosing the early cases of breast cancer and improving the computational efficiency in the computer-aided detection of micro-calcifications in mammograms, we have advanced a novel processing technique for the extraction of micro-calcification region of interest (MROI). The proposed method is based on a three-step procedure: (1) the mammogram is divided into sub-images of the same size; (2) the wavelet multi-resolution method is conducted on the sub-images, and the parameters related to wavelet transform and threshold T are discussed according to rho; (3) the classification of sub-images is determined by T. It is tested with 20 mammograms and the results show that the method can achieve a true positive rate as high as 89.7% with a false positive rate as low as 2.1%.

The Korean Journal of Gastroenterology 2008;52(4):261-264
Idiopathic mesenteric phlebosclerosis, rare disease entity causing chronic mesenteric ischemia is a member of non-thrombotic, non-inflammatory stenosis or occlusion of the mesenteric veins. The histologic hallmark is marked fibrous mural thickening and sclerosis of the vessel wall. It is frequently accompanied by calcification in the vessel wall. We report the case of a 61-year-old woman with idiopathic mesenteric phlebosclerosis. To our knowledge, this is the first case reported in Korea.
