Objective To study the expression of pericyte and the association between pericyte and angiogenesis in the endometriosis. Methods the endometriosis group is consisted of 20 ectopic endometrium, 20 eutopic endometrium dur-ing proliferation phase, 20 eutopic endometrium during secretory phase of patient with endometriosis. The control group (non-endometriosis ) include 20 normal endometrium during proliferation phase and 20 normal endometrium during prolifer-ation phase of women without entometriosis. The histological morphology parameters such as mean density of microvessel (MVD), pericytes number(PN)as well as the average ratio of pericyte to endothelial cells in microvessels were measured by immunohistochemical and morphological assesses. Results The expression of MVD was lower in the normal endometrium and eutopic endometrium compared with it in ectopic endometrium tissue. The difference of the MVD among the different groups was statistical significant (P<0.05). The expression of MVD in secretory phase endometrium was higher than it in proliferative phase endometrium (P<0.05), and it shows no significant difference between eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium. The expression of PN and PN/MVD in ectopic and eutopic endometrium in EMs group were lower than those in control group. However, we also found that the difference of PN and PN/MVD was not statistically significant. Conclusion Pericytes play an important role in angiogenesis of the endometriosis ,and pericyte coverage contribute to maturing of func-tional vasculature of endometriosis.

ObjectiveToobserve the regulating effect of acupuncture at Fengchi (GB20) and extraordinary points on tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-aand endothelin (ET) in hypertension.MethodTotally 150 patients with hypertension were randomized into two groups at a ratio of 1:1.In the control group, 75 subjects were intervened by acupuncture at bilateral Fengchi; in the treatment group, 75 subjects were intervened by acupuncture at bilateral Fengchi plus extraordinary points. The needles were manipulated once every 10 min duringthe 30-min session. The treatment was given once per day, 2 weeks as a treatment course. ResultDuring the intervention, the TNF-aand ET contents were decreased significantly in the treatment group (P<0.05); the TNF-aand ET contents were also decreased in the control group but without statistical significance (P>0.05). After 1 treatment course, the TNF-aand ET contents were decreased significantly in the treatment group (P<0.05); the TNF-aand ET contents were insignificantly decreased in the control group (P>0.05); there was a significant difference in comparing the TNF-aand ET contents between the two groups (P<0.05). There were also significant differences in comparing the TNF-aand ET contents inhypertension of various degrees between the two groups (P<0.01). The results showed that the TNF-aand ET contents in patients intervened by acupuncture at Fengchiand extraordinary points were lower than that in those intervened by acupuncture at Fengchialone, i.e. combination of Fengchi and extraordinary points produces a significant effect on regulating TNF-aand ET contents. Conclusion Acupuncture at Fengchi and extraordinary points can produce a more significant effect than acupuncture at Fengchi alone on regulating TNF-aand ET in patients with hypertension.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of different regimens of tranexamic acid on perioperative bleeding and postoper-ative compliance of simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty(TKA). METHODS:A total of 70 patients undergoing simultane-ous bilateral TKA in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 35 cases in each group. Control group was given Tranexamic acid injection 15 mg/kg 30 min before surgery. Observation group was given Tranexamic acid injection 15 mg/kg,30 min before surgery and 30 min before suturing incision. The operation duration, total blood loss,intraopera-tive blood loss, postoperative drainage as well as the levels of FIB,PT,APTT before trectment and 3 d after surgery, the occur-rence of postoperative compliance and ADR were observed and compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:There was no statistical significance in operation duration, intraoperative blood loss and rate of ADR between 2 groups (P>0.05). The total blood loss, postoperative drainage and the incidence of complications of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in coagulation indexes(FIB,PT and APTT)be-tween 2 groups before treatment and 3 d after surgery, with statistical significance(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The application of tranexamic acid 30 min before simultaneous bilateral TKA and 30 min before the end of surgery can reduce perioperative bleeding and postoperative venous thromboembolism with good safety.

BACKGROUND:Previous ankle fracture surgery mainly uses the internal fixation materials such as metal screws or Kirschner wire, which can achieve a strong internal fixation, but al need to be taken out in the secondary surgery. In recent years, elastic modulus of biodegradable absorbable screw is identical to that of cancel ous bone, and has been widely used in clinic. OBJECTIVE:To compare the biocompatibility and functional recovery of ankle joint in the repair of ankle fractures with absorbable screws and metal screws. METHODS:100 patients with ankle fractures were selected, including 70 males and 30 females, at the age of 19 to 55 years old. Fifty patients were repaired with absorbable screws and fifty patients were repaired with metal screws. Clinical efficacy, Kofoed score, fracture healing time and adverse events were observed between the two groups after repair. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Patients were fol owed up for over 6 months in both groups, showing good bony cal us, good contraposition and alignment at the fracture end. No delayed union or nonunion occurred. The excel ent and good rate of clinical effect was 96%and 94%in the absorbable screw group and metal screw group, respectively, showing no significant difference. There was no significant difference in ankle Kofoed score, fracture healing time and incidence of adverse events between the two groups (P>0.05). These results suggest that absorbable screw fixation for ankle fractures had good biocompatibility and could effectively restore ankle function;its effects are similar to that of traditional metal screws.
