OBJECTIVE To determine the distribution of pathogens of bacterial infection in respiratory intensive care unit (RICU) to provide reference for the prevention of hospital infection. METHODS To collect specimens of the patients received endotracheal intubation from Jan 2006 to Dec 2006 in our RICU,to identify pathogens and drug sensitivity test. RESULTS We isolated 105 pathogenic bacteria from 626 specimens of the 58 patients,the G-bacilli accounted for 64.76%,G+ cocci accounted for 20.95%,fungi accounted for 12.38%; Acinetobacter baumannii was one of the main G-bacilli accounted for 19.05%. Staphylococcus aureus of G+ cocci for 9.52%,and Candida albicans of fungi for 7.62%; from 105 pathogens,65 from the respiratory tract,15 from the for urinary tract,eight from a catheter tube,six from the digestive tract,five from the blood,four from the various drainage tubes and two from the incision secretions. CONCLUSIONS Hospital infection pathogens exist in the respiratory tract infection in hospitalized patients of respiratory ICU with risk factors of age,underlying diseases,time in the intensive care unit,ventilator time and the use of invasive procedures in a certain relationship.

Objective To investigate the effects of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) on the expression of cardiac adiponectin and its receptors in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Methods Thirty-two male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups, with 8 in each: untreated control group (C group), NAC-treatment group (CT group), diabetic untreated group (D group) and diabetic NAC-treatment group (DT group). After 8 weeks, plasma glucose and insulin, and cardiomyocyte cross sectional area were measured. Cardiac protein expression of adiponectin receptor 1 and 2 (adipoR1 and adipoR2), AMP-activated protein kinase ? (AMPK?), phosphorylation of AMP-activated protein kinase ?-subunits and glucose transporter 4 (GluT4) were determined by Western blotting. Plasma and myocardial adiponectin levels were measured by radioimmunoassay. Plasma and myocardial free 15-F2t-isoprostane levels were assayed by enzyme immunoassay. Objective:To investigate the effects of safflor yellow ( SY) on body fat, fatty liver and insulin resistance in diet-in-duced obese mice. Methods:Male C57BL/6 mice at the age of 4 weeks were fed with high fat diet ( HF) for 8 weeks to make the obese model. The mice were intraperitoneally injected SY (100 mg·kg-1 ·d-1 ) for 6 weeks. At the end of experiment, the introper-itoneal glucose tolerance test ( IPGTT) and insulin tolerance test ( ITT) were performed, and the body fat, blood lipid profile and the other metabolic parameters were detected. Meanwhile, the epididymis fat and liver tissue were withdrawn for HE staining, the adipo-cyte area was quantified and the morphology of liver was observed. Results:SY significantly reduced the body weight, body fat mass, adipocyte area, liver weight and blood lipid levels of the obese mice (P<0. 05), and fatty liver was obviously alleviated after the ad-ministration of SY. Meanwhile, IPITT and ITT tests showed that SY significantly improved the glucose intolerance and insulin resist-ance of the obese mice(P<0. 05). Conclusion:SY has significant weight-loss effects and it can alleviate fatty liver, and improve glu-cose intolerance and insulin resistance in diet-induced obese mice.

Objective: To establish a female SPF BALB/c mouse model of antibiotic-associated intestinal microflora disturbance and analyze the effect of lactobacillus acidophilus.Methods: Female SPF BALB/c mice were treated with ceftriaxone in drinking water for five days,and followed by oral gavage of sodium chloride as natural recovery group or lactobacillus acidophilus(108CFU/mL) as therapeutic group.After seven days the intestinal microflora of the cecum content was abstracted and computed by plate counts and 16S rDNA-based PCR-DGGE method.Results: Plate counts indicated that the number of original bacterium lacticum and bacillus bifidus decreased significantly and enterococci proliferated abnormally after antibiotic treatment.After lactobacillus acidophilus treatment,the number of physiological bacteria and enterococci go back to normal levels.DGGE profile clearly indicated that the dominant bacteria changed and the bacterial diversity of intestinal microbiota was obviously decreased in the antibiotics treated group. Conclusion: Oral gavage of lactobacillus acidophilus has adjustment effect on Ceftriaxone induced intestinal microbiota disturbance.PCR-DGGE is a rapid、effective molecule method to reveal the whole microbiota status.

Objective To observe the effects of extracts of ginkgo leaves (EGL) on acute myocardial infarction, acute myocardial ischemia and blood hemorheology.Methods The effects of EGL on acute myocardial infarction were observed in dogs model induced by the ligation of anterior descending branch of left coronary artery; effects on acute myocardial ischemia were observed on rats model caused by intravenous injection of pituitrin and effects on blood hemorheology were observed in rabbits. Results EGL significantly reduced the myocardial infarction area, decreased the activities of lactate dehydrogenase and creatine phosphokinase in dogs, reduced the elevation of ST segment of electrocardiogram in rats with myocardial ischemia and decreased whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity in rabbits. Conclusion EGL has protective effect against myocardial ischemic injury and can improve the parameters of blood hemorheology in rabbits. Its mechanism may be concerned with the reduction of the myocardial infarction area and infarction degree and the relief of acute myocardial ischemia.

Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of estrogen receptors (ER) in spleen of female BALB/c mice after injected with diethylstilbestrol (DES) beginning in neonatal period. Methods Neonatal female BALB/c mice were injected subcutaneously on cervix-backside with DES within 24 hours after birth at intervals of 24 hours for 5 times. Control groups were injected with olive oil with the same method. Mice were killed on 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 35 days and 49 days after birth separately, the spleen was taken out, imbedded with paraffin and sectioned serially in 5??m. The expression of ER in slice of spleen was detected by immunohistochemistry technique. Results ER positive cells were present in both DES-injected groups and control groups. ER positive cells were mostly lymphocytes. A correlation between age and the intensity of positive reactions was showed in both groups. The intensity of ER immunohistochemistry positive reaction in DES group was much stronger than that in control group, and there was a significant statistic difference between the two groups. Conclusion The ER expression exists in spleen of female BALB/c mice and increases with the age of mice. The contact of DES in neonatal female BALB/c mice will lead to an increased ER expression in their spleens and this effect can continue to their manhood at least.

Objective To investigate the clinical features of divergence paralysis improve the diagnostic and therapeutic ability,and evaluate the effect of surgical and non-surgical treatment.Methods It was a retrospective case series study.11 cases with complete data,diagnosed and treated as divergence paralysis in Tianjin Eye Hospital from September 2014 to January 2016,were summarized.The observation items included general date,neurologica consultation,comprehensive eye examination,and the eye position and movement,deviation degree,binocular vision,AC / A,diplopia examination of pre-treatment and post-treatment.The patients were followed up from 3 months to 1.5 yeas,averaged 6.9 months.Results In our study,1 patient was MillerFisher syndrome,3 cases had a history of hypertension,and 1 case had the history of intaking sleeping pills for about 3 months.The rest of the patients denied the nervous system disease,cardiovascular disease and other medical history.All patients complained about uncrossed diplopia only at distance.All of the 11 patients had a sudden onset of their symptoms.Each patient was examined by same neurologist,meanwhile MRI or CT were performed.All the results showed normal.All patients had refractive error.The angle of esotropia for distance of 5 meters was from + 25 △ to + 55 △ and was from + 8 △ to + 40△ for near(33 cm)before treatment while changed into-4△ ～ + 12△ for distance (5m) and to-8△ ～ +8△ for near (33 cm) after treatment.The ratio of AC / A ranged from 1.3 to 4.0,with an average of 2.6.Conclusion The clinical characteristics of divergence paralysis are a greater angle of esotropia and ipsilateral diplopia.Lateral rectns resection and non-surgical treatment have better effects on the improvement of diplopia and esotropia.

Objective:To construct eukaryotic expression plasmid ecording a novel surface protein Fba of GAS, and to explore its impact on host immune responses.Methods:Fba gene was amplified by PCR using strain SSI-9 (GAS M1 serotype isolates) as the template, then cloned into pcDNA3.1 for constructing eukaryotic expression plasmid pcDNA3.1/fba and sequenced. Female CD1 mice were randomly individed into 6 groups, and immunized respectively with Fba protein, M protein, pcDNA3.1/fba + Fba protein, pcDNA3.1/fba, pcDNA3.1 and PBS as control. Blood was obtained from the mice and specific antibody of IgG was detected by ELISA. Spleen cells were assessed with lymphocyte proliferation assays.CD4+T cell and CD8+T cell were detected by flow cytometry (FCM). Assay results were analyzed with SPSS10.0.Results:The IgG against Fba protein kept hightest levels in group immunized with Fba protein. The levels of lymphocyte proliferation, CD4+, CD8+T cell were significantly high in the group pcDNA3.1/fba. Conclusion:(1) Just as M protein, the antibody to Fba protein could be efficiently induced by immunization with Fba protein, which showed that Fba protein was hopefully to be a candidate protein for vaccine against GAS.(2) Eukaryotic expression plasmid pcDNA3.1/fba was successfully constructed and this recombinant plasmid could efficiently induce antibody and CD4+ T cell for againsting GAS.

Objective To investigate the intakes of dietary nutrients and the growth and development status among children with autism,to propose scientific basis for developing further interventions.Methods Dietary intakes of nutrients were obtained with the method of 24-hour dietary review for 3 days.Meanwhile,the height and weight were detected among the subjects;Z-score was also adopted to evaluate nutritional status.Results 1.About 31.5% of the 111 cases with autism were overweight or obesity and 8.1% of the children were acute or chronic malnutrition.2.The intakes of 11 nutrients were insufficient,especially VA,VC,VB6,folate,calcium and zinc,had a serious shortage that less than 60% of the recommended intakes.3.The crowd was widespread lack of nutrients,39.6% of the cases with nutritional deficiency in varying degrees,the incidences of calcium and zinc deficiency were reach up to 88%.Conclusions The nutritional deficiency and overnutrition were simultaneous among the children with autism,their dietary nutritional supplement were generally inadequate.More sufficient measures and rational diet are necessary to improve the nutritional status for the autistic children.

Objective To find out the brain function characters of visual information integration and visual working memory with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) children. Methods 1∶ 1 case-control study was used on the study. 45 ADHD children who met DSM-IV criteria were recruited as case group,45 normal children from primary school were chosen as control group. Two groups children received the test of contour-integration,positional noise, temporal order memory, pattern memory. Results The ADHD double eyes' contour integration ( ( 1.62 ± 0. 81 ), ( 1.69 ± 0.87 ) ) were significantly lower than the control group' ( (2.02 ± 1.10), ( 1.98 ±0.81 )). There was no significant difference of double eyes' positional noise between case group( (1.98 ±0.89 ), ( 2.20 ± 1.10 ) ) and the control group ( ( 2.20 ± 0. 97 ), ( 2.30 ± 0. 83 ) ). The temporal order memory,pattern memory ( ( 1.89 ± 1.30), ( 1.18 ± 0.44) ) showed significantly lower in case group(P＜ 0.05 ) than that in control group ( ( 2.98 ± 1.25 ), ( 1. 44 ± 0. 66) ). Conclusion Results indicate that children with ADHD have deficiency in visual perception and the ability of visual information integration, and have significantly deficiency in visual working memory and executive-function.
