China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(02):-
Objective:To evaluate the interventional effects of Yufeining on lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods:38 patients with COPD were divided into therapeutic group (20 cases) and control group (18 cases) randomly. Therapeutic group was treated with oral Yufeining pill half a year and then was followed up 6 months without drug. Control group was not given any medicine during the observed one year. Routine lung function was measured at before 、6 months and 12 months after treatment. Total symptom score (TSS) of traditional Chinese medicine、the scores of quality of life (QOL) were recorded simultaneously. Blood gas analysis was measured only at before and 6 months after. Results:FEV 1 was 1 032?0 336L after 6 months treatment in therapeutic group, while FEV 1 was 0.982?0.353L before treatment (P

Objective To investigate quitting motivation of smoking patients with mild and moder-ate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) and evaluate the effects of smoking cessation methods based on cognitive intervention. Methods A total of 102 smoking patients with mild and moderate COPD from the outpatient department was divided into 4 blocks according to their intention of quitting smoking.Pa-tients in each block were randomly divided into intervention and control groups. Results ⑴All the re-spondents were at an average age of (61.3 ±12.3) years old.The sex ratio of men to women was 99∶3. The average smoking index (bag/year) in all the respondents was (39.81 ±11.53).The average daily smoking was (14.22 ±2.30) packs. The respondents with a lower degrees accounted for 55.9%and the respondents with high nicotine dependence 49.0%.A total of 39 people (38.2%) hoped to give up smok-ing, 20 people (19.6%) strongly hoped to give up smoking.⑵The main reasons for smoking included en-joyment (7.02), dependence (6.88), and calm (6.55).⑶There were statistically significant difference in the half-year continuous abstinence rates (χ2 =4.993, P =0.025) and in June quit rates (χ2 =6.668, P =0.010) between the intervention (58.82%) and control (33.33%) groups. The weight gain had sig-nificant difference between the intervention and control groups at the 3rd month ( t =2.65, P <0.01) or 6th month ( t =2.07, P <0.05) after quitting smoking. Conclusions The quitting motivation of smoking patients with mild and moderate COPD is not strong, while the smoking cessation methods based on cogni-tive intervention are effective for those patients.

A 1 3kb DNA fragment was amplified in DNA samples extracted from periwinkle showed yellows The amplified fragment was ligated into pGEM T easy vector and then transformed into JM109 strain of E coli Cloned DNA fragments were verified by PCR, restriction endonuclease ( Eco RI) digestion and sequence analysis The result revealed that the ribosomal protein gene of PY strain consists of 1244 base pairs, which contains the entire rp l22 gene encoding 129 amino acids and rps3 gene encoding 252 amino acids These two genes are overlap The character of ribosomal protein gene of PY strain is very resemble with that of other phytoplasmas

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Objective To further investigate the pathohistology of chronic gastritis in children and the relationship between helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection and mucosal chronic inflammatory. Methods Gastric antrum biopsies were carried out from children who had chronic gastritis confirmed by gastroendoscopy during the past 3 years in our hospital. The results of pathohistological observation were analyzed by retrospectire method. Results One thousand six hundred cases of chronic gastritis were included,in which 1007 cases without Hp infection,593 with Hp infection.Among the patients without Hp infection, mild inflammatory were much more than mode-(rate) or severe inflammatory(86% vs 14%).Although,in patients with Hp infection, mild inflammatory were the most common presentation(63%),moderate and severe inflammatory were more predominant in patients with Hp infection. The degree of inflammatory was increased with the quantity of Hp infection. The ratio of lymphocytes, neutrophils and lymphoid follicles in gastric mucosa was much higher in Hp positive group than negative one(94%,40%,22% vs 60%,11%,5%,respectively),and the difference was significant in statistic analysis.Gastric mucosal atrophy was found more in Hp positive group(16.5%) than negative one(7%).The proportion of intestinal metaplasia in cases with Hp infection was 1.5% compared with 0.1% in these children. Conclusion The study shows that there is a close relationship between Hp and antrun chronic inflammation and mucosal atrophy.

Objective To investigate the effect of angiotenisn ⅡI (Ang Ⅱ) on RIN-m β-cell,and to explore the mechanism of β-cell function impairment caused by Ang Ⅱ.Methods RIN-m cells were cultured with various concentrations of AngⅡ (0.1,1,10,100 nmol/L).After incubation for 24 hours, the basal(3.3 mmol/L) and glucose-stimulated(16.7 mmol/L) insulin secretion(GSIS)were detected by radioimmunoassay,mRNA and protein expressions of uncoupling protein 2(UCP2)were determined by RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. The intracellular ATP content was measured by luciferase bioluminescence. The mitochondrial membrane potential and cellular Ca~(2+) concentration were detected by flow cytometry. Results (1) Various concentrations of Ang Ⅱ had no significant influence on the basal insulin secrection of RIN-m cell(F=0.644,P = 0.634).Except for 0.1 nmol/L AngⅡ,the other concentrations of Ang Ⅱ markedly reduced GSIS of RIN-m cells(F= 118.528,P = 0.000).(2) Compared with the control group,Ang Ⅱ significantly increased mRNA and protein expression of UCP2(F= 1 370,P = 0.000;F=675.175,P = 0.000).(3)Except for 0.1 nmol/L Ang Ⅱ,the other concentrations of Ang Ⅱ significantly decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential, cellular ATP content, and cellular Ca2+ concentration of RIN-m cell(F=4.035,P=0.008;F=3.353,P = 0.013;F=5.867,P = 0.001).Conclusion Ang Ⅱ impairs GSIS of p-cell,the mechanism of impairment may be interpreted that Ang Ⅱ can increase the expression of UCP2,furthermore,it can reduce mitochondrial membrane potential, decrease the content of cellular ATP and the concentration of cellular Ca~(2+),can finally impair the function of β-cell.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2009;25(7):495-498
Objective To learn the current culture of the hospital and identify its future development pathway. Methods The current culture types of the hospital are evenly distributed among the four quadrants. Results These types are found to be identically distributed among the tribe type, temporary system type, hierarchy type and market-oriented type of culture. Among these four type, the hierarchy type and market-oriented type score higher (27 scores both) and take the lead. Conclusions Hospitals are expected to enhance its exchange and communication with the employees, and head to its desired direction of a hospital culture type.

Objective We discussed the influence of health education on uncertainty of patients undergoing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Methods We divided 60 patients who were to undergo extracorporeal shock wave lithitripsy into the control group and the test group with 30 eases in each group. The test group implement systemic education according to the health education model. The control group received routine health education. Uncertainty about illness was measured by Mishel uncertainty in illness scale (MUIS) on admission, 1 day before lithotripsy and on discharge from hospital in the two groups. Results The illness uncertainty of the test group 1 day before lithotripsy and on discharge from hospital decreased evidently compared with that of on admission (P<0.01). The decrease amplitude was statistically different from that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Health education through application of health education model could significantly decrease the illness uncertainty of patients undergoing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.
