To investigate the influence of mixing ratios on the hardness, wear resistance and compressive strength of the cements clinically used,Zinc Oxide Eugenol cement,Glass ionomer cements,Zinc Phosphate Cement, and Dual-curing composite cement were mixed at different ratios separately, then made into test pieces.Vickers hardness, wear resistance and compressive strength of these test pieces were measured by related machines. The results showed that vickers hardness, wear resistance and compressive strength of Zinc Oxide Eugenol cement,Glass ionomer cements and Zinc Phosphate Cement reduced with the decrease of powder/liquid ratios. As to Dual-curing composite cement,Vickers hardness, wear resistance and compressive strength decreased with the difference between A/B ratio and 1∶1 increase.Conclusively, mixing ratios could influence the mechanical proprieties of the cements clinical used,so the use of cements should be under the instructions of the product.

Objective To observe the curative effect in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) complicated by moderate or severe thrombocytopenia with a blood platelet count(BPC) of under 50 × 109/L and analyze its related factors. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data on 109 SLE patients with mod-erate or severe thrombocytopenia. Results Of the 109 patients,82(75.2%)had complete response(CR),15 (13.8%)had partial response(PR),and 12(11.0%)had no response(NR),respectively. As compared with the CR+PR group, the NR group had a higher incidence rate of decreased bone marrow megakaryocyte(P < 0.05). However, there were no significant differences between the two groups in SLEDAI scores, rates of positive PAIg and ACA,and levels of C3 and C4(P>0.05 for all comparisons). The total effectiveness rate did not differ signifi-cantly between MP pulse therapy and high-dose corticosteroid therapy. Conclusions A decrease in bone marrow megakaryocytes can be an adverse factorfor affecting the efficacy in patients with SLE complicated by moderate or severe thrombocytopenia.

Objective To investigate the numbers, sizes and types distribution of diatoms in drowned and postmortem immersed rabbits’ lungs. Methods Sixty-two rabbits were randomly divided into drowning group (n=30), postmortem immersion group (n=30) and land death group (n=2), and the diatoms in each lung lobe were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by microwave digestion and scanning electron microscopy. Results In the drowning group, the diatoms were detected in each lung lobe with Cyclotella and Melosira in the majority. In the postmortem immersion group, Cyclotella was in the majority. And the diatoms weren’t detected in some lung lobes in postmortem immersion. There were significant dif-ferences in the detection rates of upper lobe of left lung, middle lobe and cardiac lobe of right lung in two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Based on the microwave digestion and scanning electron microscopy, the numbers, sizes and types distribution of diatoms in drowned and postmortem immersed rabbits ’ lungs can be analyzed and used as references for testing theory.

Objective To evaluate the expression of macrophage migration inhibitor factor (MiF) and cyclinD1 in pancreatic carcinoma and their relationships with clinical pathology characteristics. Methods The expression of MIF and eyclinD1 in 89 carcinoma and 5 normal pancreatic tissues was detected with immunohis-tochemistry methods, and the relationships among MIF and cyclinD1 expression and clinicopathological factors were studied. Results The overexpression of MIF and cyclinD1 was found in 88.8%, and 50. 6% of pancre-atic carcinoma tissues respectively. The overexpression of MIF had a significant correlation with Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ tumor stage (69. 2%, 94. 7%, 96. 4%, 100%, P <0.05), while the positive expression rate of cyclinD1 only had a significant correlation with tumor stages Ⅲ,Ⅳ (33. 3%, 68. 8%, P <0. 05). Both of the two proteins had a correlative tendency with pathological grade and lymph node metastasis. The different expression of MIF between pancreatic carcinoma with and without liver metastasis had no statistical significance, (100% ,85.9%, P >0. 05)while there was a statistically significant difference about cyclinD1 (66. 7% ,46. 5% ,P <0. 05). A significant positive correlation was also found between MIF and cyclinD1 (P < 0. 05). Conclusion The ex-pression of MIF and CyclinD1 was higher in pancreatic cancer tissues than in normal tissue, and they may be associated with the malignant stage, tumor differentiation, local lymph node and liver metastasis of this tumor.

Objective To analyze the expression of interleukin ( IL)-17A in a mouse model of bleomycin ( BLM)-induced systemic sclerosis ( SSc) and to evaluate its effects on inflammation and fibrosis in skin and lung tissues. Methods Twenty-four female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four groups:normal control group ( mice were subcutaneously injected with phosphate buffer ) , model group (subcutaneously injected with BLM), antibody group (injected with BLM + IL-17A monoclonal antibody), homotypic control group ( injected with BLM + isotype control) . Pathological changes in skin and lung tis-sues of those mice were observed;inflammatory and fibrotic scores were assessed. Immunohistochemistry and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR ( RT-PCR) were used to detect the expression of IL-17A, TGF-β1 and typeⅠ collagen in skin and lung tissues of those mice at mRNA level. Mouse lung fibroblasts ( FB) de-rived from the mice of model group were cultured in vitro and then were cultured with IL-17A cytokines with or without the interference of monoclonal antibodies. Expression of typeⅠ collagen and TGF-β1 at mRNA level and levels of IL-6 and TGF-β1 in the culture supernatants were detected by RT-PCR and enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay ( ELISA) , respectively. Results Compared with the mice of model and homotypic control groups, those of the antibody group showed mild skin thickening, skin inflammation and lung inflam-mation as well as lower fibrosis scores (P<0. 05). The expression of IL-17A at both protein and mRNA lev-els and the expression of TGF-β1 and collagen typeⅠat mRNA level in skin and lung tissues of mice of the antibody group were significantly lower than those of the model and homotypic control group (P<0. 05). Re-sults of the in vitro cell culture of SSc mice-derived lung FB with IL-17A showed that the expression of TGF-β1 and typeⅠ collagen at mRNA level and the levels of IL-6 and TGF-β1 in the culture supernatants were decreased with the interference of anti-IL-17A monoclonal antibody (P<0. 05), but were still higher than those of the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion IL-17A promotes the development of inflammation and fibrosis in skin and lung tissues in the mouse model of SSc. Blocking IL-17A might inhibit fibrosis in SSc by inhibiting the production of TGF-β1, IL-6 and typeⅠ collagen.
