1.Effect of Guanxin No. 1 Recipe for Coronary Heart Disease:An Observation of 48 Cases

[Objective] To investigate the therapeutic effect of Guanxin No. 1 Recipe (mainly composed of Radix Codonopsis, Radix Ophiopogonis, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Notoginseng, Radix Curcumae) for coronary heart disease (CHD) with angina pectoris (AP) and to observe its influence on blood lipid and hemorrheology indexes. [Methods] Eighty-eight patients with AP were allocated to group A (n = 48) and group B (n = 40) according to random number table. The two groups were given isosorbide dinitrate, Metoprolol Tartrate Tablets and enteric-coated aspirin tablets, and group A was treated with Guanxin No. 1 Recipe additionally. Four weeks constituted one treatment course. The effects on TCM syndromes, AP, electrocardiogram (ECG) and symptoms scoring, as well as on blood lipid level and hemorrheology indexes were observed before and after treatment. [Results] After treatment, the effects on TCM syndromes, AP, electrocardiogram and symptoms scoring in group A were superior to those in group B (P 0.05) . Whole blood high-shear viscosity (WBHSV) and whole blood low-shear viscosity (WBLSV) were decreased in the two groups (P 0.05). [Conclusion] Guanxin No. 1 Recipe has a better effect on relieving symptoms and improving EGG in CHD with AP, and this may be related to the decrease of blood lipid level and improvement of hemorrheology index.
2.Determination of the contents of aristolochic acid A in Zhushalian capsule by HPLC

Objective: To determine the contents of aristolochic acid A in Zhushalian capsules. Methods : Column hypersil C18 (250mm ? 4.6mm,5?m). Mobile phase:Solution of methanol - water - glacial acetic acid (79 : 29 : 1). Detection wavelength: 315nm. Flow rate: 1.0ml/min. Results: Aristolochic acid A was completely separated and no interference was found. The recovery rate was 98. 34 % . RSD was 0.04 % ( n = 5 ) . Conclusion : This method is simple, sensitive, accurate and reliable.
3.Determination of ephedrine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride in Jieduwanling Pills by HPLC

AIM: To establish the method for determining ephedrine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride in Jieduwanling Pills (Rhizoma atractylodis,Herba ephedrae,Herba dendrobii,etc.)by RP-HPLC. METHODS : The Agilent Extend C_ 18 column with acetonitrile-0.1%H_3PO_4(5∶95)as the mobile phase was used. The flow rate was at 1.0 mL?min -1 and the detective wavelength was at 206 nm. RESULTS : The calibration curve was linear at a range of 0.02028 ~1.014?g for the ephedrine hydrochloride( r =0.9999). the average recovery was 97.69% and RSD was 0.9%( n =6). The calibration curve was linear at a range of 0.02254 ~ 1.127 ?g for the pseudoephedrine hydrochloride( r =0.9998). The average recovery was 98.40% and RSD was 2.3%( n =6). CONCLUSION : The method is accurate with a good reproducibility and can be used as a quantitative analysis for this preparation.
4.Study on the quality standard of Xinkeshu

5.Content determination of Puerarin in Xinkeshu Capsule by HPLC

Objective:To establish a HPLC method for the content determination of Puerarin in Xinkeshu capsule.Methods:The chromatography condition included C18 silicane-bonded silica gel column(250mm?4.6mm,5?m),MeOH-1.5%HAc-CHCI_3(25:74:1) mixture as the mobile phase,detection wavelength at 250nm,1.1ml/min of flow rate.Results:Puerarin was completely separated and no interference was found. The average recovery was 99.2%,RSD was 0.87%(n=5).Conclusion:The method is accurate,quick,sensitive and replicable,which is suitable for the quality control of Xinkeshu capsule.
6.Clinical analysis of glucocorticoid in the treatment of bronchial asthma and its influence on serum markers

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of glucocorticoid in the treatment of bronchial asthma and its influence on serum markers,to provide a reference for clinical treatment.Methods 40 cases with bronchial asthma were selected,and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group,20 cases in each group.The observation group was given montelukast and budesonide inhalation therapy,the control group received montelukast therapy.The lung function after treatment,serum interleukins,serum nitric oxide,the rate -limiting enzyme targets were compared.Results After treatment,FVC%,FEV1 %,PEF% in the observation group were (83.67 ±5.57)%,(89.92 ±6.37)%,(88.01 ±6.04)% respectively,the improvement was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(comparison after treatment between the two groups tFVC =3.537;tFEV1 =3.119;tPEF =3.354,all P <0.05).After treatment,IL -4,IL -13,NO,NOS of the observation group were (4.79 ± 0.89)pg/mL,(26.64 ±3.32)pg/mL,(61.13 ±4.49)μmol/L,(33.34 ±2.81 )U /mL,respectively,the improve-ment was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(comparison after treatment between the two groups tIL -4 =3.214;tIL -13 =4.051;tNO =3.815;tNOS =3.904,all P <0.05).Conclusion Montelukast combined with glucocorticoids in the treatment of bronchial asthma has good clinical results,which will help to improve the serum inflammatory markers,it is worthy of clinical application.
7.Study on quality specification of bazheng capsule

Objective To improve the quality of the standard bazheng capsule.Methods TLC was used for identification of emodin and chrysophanol content determination, and determination of samples by high performance liquid chromatography.Results TLC spots were clear,and the blank without interference.Emodin showed a good linear relationship at range of 0.0267 ~0.4272 μg, Y =1425.7X +2.1521 ( r=0.9998 );chrysophanol showed a good linear relationship at range of 0.0417 ~0.6677 μg, Y =5 ×106X -8566.2(r=0.9999).The recovery was 97.35%, 98.39%,and RSD was 1.7%,0.4%.Conclusion The established methods are simple and with good repeatability, and can be used for the quality control of bazheng capluse.
8.Preparation and Quality Control of Recombinant Interferon ?1b Chitosan Plastics

OBJECTIVE:To prepare recombinant interferon(INF)?1b chitosan plastics and to establish a way for its quality control.METHODS:The plastics was prepared with chitosan as the main excipients,the content of INF?1b was de-termined by di-quinoline methanoic acid kit,the stability of the plastics was determined and its skin irritation test was con-ducted.RESULTS:The linear range for recombinant INF?1b in the prepared paint was1~11mg/L(r=0.9999)with methodological recovery rate at101.04%,RSD=1.05%(n=5).CONCLUSION:The recombinant INF?1b chitosan plastics is simple in preparation,accurate in assaying,stable in quality yet the skin irritation induced by which was failed to be noted.
9.Pricing Mechanism of Drugs

OBJECTIVE:To tackle the problem of virtual-high drug price through reforming pricing mechanism of drugs. METHODS: To review the history of the pricing mechanism of medicines, analyzed the problems existed in the pricing mechanism and the reasons accountable for the high drug prices as well as the responsibilities of the related departments in the high drug prices, then a new pricing mechanism of medicines was put forward. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The new pricing mechanism of drugs can bring down the drug prices to a large extent meanwhile increasing revenue for hospital even without the increase in financial appropriation. Hospitals can make profits in a way rather than from big examination of the patients, which can help reduce the medical costs paid by the common people.
10.Analysis of Antihypertensive Drug Use in 62 Hospitals in Southwestern China during the Period of 2002~2004

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the present situation and tendency of antihypertensive drug use in the southwestern districts of China.METHODS:The sales volume,drug types,DDDs,DDDc of antihypertensive drugs from 2002 to 2004 in 62 hospitals in the southwestern districts of China were statistically analyzed.RESULTS:The sales volume of antihypertensive drugs counted 18%to 20%of total sales volume of cardiovascular drugs,with the mean annual increasing rate of 20%.The sales volumes of amlodipine and enalapril ranked the first,and the second in 2004.Among the 10 manufacturers,the sales volume of antihypertensive drugs produced by multinational companies reached 81.9%of total sales volume.CONCLUSION:The sale volumes of antihypertensive drugs and cardiovascular drugs have gone on increasing sharply,calcium antagonists and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor drugs dominate in the antihypertensive drug market in the southwestern district.
