3.Therapeutic observation on point-toward-point needling at points on the low back regions for residual back pain after percutaneous kyphoplasty
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2019;17(2):131-136
Objective:To observe the effect of point-toward-point needling at points on the low back regions on residual back pain after percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP),thoracolumbar function and quality of life (QOL) in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF).Methods:A total of 72 patients with OVCF and residual back pain after PKP were included and allocated into a treatment group (n=36) and a control group (n=36) by the random number table.Cases in the control group received salmon calcitonin injection (miacalcic),for 1 mL each time, once a day,and oral intake of calcium carbonate D3 pill,600 mg each time, once a day, whereas cases in the treatment group received point-toward-point needling at points on the low back regions and electroacupuncture (EA) for 30 min each time, once a day and 6 times a week on the basis of the treatment in the control group.Treatment in both groups lasted for 2 weeks.Therapeutic efficacy indicators including visual analog scale (VAS),Oswestry disability index (ODI) and Barthel index (BI) were evaluated before and after treatment and at follow-up visit (1 month after treatment). Results:The total effective rate was 94.4% and 88.9% in the treatment group after treatment and at the follow-up visit, respectively, higher than 77.8% and 69.4% in the control group, and the between-group differences were statistically significant (both P<0.05).After treatment and at the follow-up visit, the VAS and ODI scores decreased, and BI scores increased in both groups, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05).After treatment and at the follow-up visit,between-group differences of VAS,ODI and BI scores were statistically significant (all P<0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of conventional medication treatment,point-toward-point needling at points on the low back regions has a good therapeutic effect in relieving residual back pain after PKP,improving thoracolumbar function and QOL,better than conventional medication treatment alone.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(12):1990-1991
Objective To investigate the diagnostic and therapeutic methods for liver injury. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with liver injury were retrospectively analyzed. Results The liver injury was srede Ⅰ in 12 patients.grade Ⅱ in 25 patients, grade Ⅲ in 20 patients, srede Ⅳ in 14 patients, and grade V in 9 cases.16 patients were not treated with operation,24 patients were treated with hepatic artery ligation, and 3 patients were treated with plugging.75 patients were cured, and 5 patients died. Conclusion Liver injury should be clearly diagnosed as early as possible, correct therapeutic methods should be selected according to the state of the injury, and operative manner should be reasonably selected according to intraoperative conditions. The treatment of complications and postoperative protection to the function of important organs should be paid attention to.
6.Accuracy of tunnel-type template assisting mini-implant anchorage surgery based on multislice spiral computed tomography
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(26):4920-4923
BACKGROUND: Preplant diagnosis and rigorous implant strategy based on multislice spiral computed tomography (MSCT) imaging can improve success rate of mini-implants as anchorage. Effective application of imaging information in implant anchorage requires reliable tools and methods.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the accuracy of the radiographic and tunnel-type surgical templates assisting implant anchorage surgery and evaluate the clinical significance.METHODS: The transparent radiographic templates were made with occlusal rest to assist MSCT to scan two pigs' skulls locatively. After designed the implant anchorage angles in MSCT images accurately, we made the tunnel-type surgical template by angle data. A total of 32 miniscrews were implanted by surgical template, and the two pigs skulls were rescanned by MSCT. After dissected the pig alveolar process, the MSCT preoperative planning angles, the MSCT postoperative measurement angles and the measurement angles of anatomic bone samples were analyzed statistically. RESULT AND CONCLUSION: The 32 miniscrews were implanted successfully. They did not damage dental roots or surrounding important structures. Compared MSCT preoperative planning angles with MSCT postoperative measurement angles and anatomic bone samples measurement angles, there were no significant differences on axial sections or cross-sections and the r concordance correlations were very good. Results show that the radiographic and the tunnel-type surgical templates are accurate and reliable for operation and will help to improve the success rate of implant anchorage.
7.Clinical Study onToutongning Formula in Treatment of Migraine
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;23(4):12-15
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy ofToutongning Formula in the treatment of migraine. Methods Totally 100 cases of migraine patients (wind disturbance, blood stasis syndrome) were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in the experimental group were treated withToutongning Formula orally, and patients in the control group were treated with flunarizine capsules 5 mg orally, for 30 d. The scores of number, degree, duration and accompanying symptoms of episodes before and after treatment were observed, the total scores were calculated, and adverse reactions were recorded, to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety. Results Clinical total efficiency was 92.0% (46/50) in experimental group and 64.0% (32/50) in the control group; the incidence rate of adverse reactions was 20.0% (10/50) in experimental group and 80.0% (40/50) in the control group; there was statistical significant differences in efficacy and adverse reactions between the two groups (P<0.05). After the treatment, the differences in the scores of number, degree, duration and accompanying symptoms of episodes, and in the total scores between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was statistical significance in the different value of above indexes before and after treatment between the two groups (P<0.05).ConclusionToutongning Formula can not only improve symptoms significantly in patients with migraine (wind disturbance, blood stasis syndrome), but also reduce adverse reactions, with more safety and efficacy than flunarizine capsules.
8.One case of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with pulmonary hypertension.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(7):664-665
The clinical manifestation included snoring and mouth breathing for 2 years, repeated coughing and shortness of breath in action for more than 1 year. Physical examination of oral cavity showed tonsils were in grade III. The endoscopy showed 2/3 of postnaris were blocked by the adenoids. The preoperative ultrasonic cardiogram revealed the right atrial and right ventricular dilatation, pulmonary artery widened. The preoperative polysomnography (PSG) showed apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) was 28.5 events an hour, and the lowest oxygen saturation (LSaO2) was 39%. The patient was diagnosed as severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with pulmonary hypertension. The postoperative PSG showed the AHI was 11.7 events an hour, and the LSaO2 was 86%. The ultrasonic cardiogram at 5 months after surgery didn't show any abnormalities.
