OBJECTIVE:To establish an RP-HPLC method for the determination of Berberine hydrochloride in Keyang-min tincture.METHODS:The sample separation was performed on Agilent Eclipse XDB C18(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m),and the mobile phase was acetonitrile-5 mmol?L-1 perfluorooctane sulfonate(32∶68) at flow rate of 1 mL?min-1.The detection wavelength was 346 nm and the temperature of column was 35 ℃.RESULTS:The linear range of Berberine hydrochloride was 0.059 2~0.888 3 ?g(r=0.999 9).The average recovery rate was 99.71%(RSD=1.18%,n=6).CONCLUSION:The met-hod is sensitive, accurate, and reproducible, and suitable for the determination of Berberine hydrochloride in Keyangmin tincture.
2.Effect of Hordeum vulgare on Sex Hormone Level in Male Mice
China Pharmacy 2007;0(27):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Hordeum vulgare on hormone level in male mice.METHODS:Male mature mice(5~6 months) were treated with Hordeum vulgare decoction 1 mL(equivalent to 0.5 g?mL-1 crude drug) bid for 14 consecutive days.Follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2) and testosterone(T) in blood were monitored.RESULTS:In Hordeum vulgare group compared normal control, serum E2 increased significantly, serum level of testosterone decreased significantly, while FSH and LH levels remained stable.CONCLUSION:Hordeum vulgare can influence the hormone level in male mice by influencing the gonad axis of the mice.

5.Clinic Application of SCT Diagnosis for Pleural Plaque
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2010;(1):32-35
Purpose To study the spiral CT (SCT) appearances of pleural plaques,to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and differential diagnosis, and to evaluate clinic application.Materials and Methods The SCT appearances in 42 cases with pleural plaques were analysed retrospectively, which closed met with asbestos dust. Results SCT showed 407 pleural plaques in 42 cases,of which there were hyline / uncalcified pleural plaques (n=250),calcified pleural plaques(n= 36),mixed pleural plaques(n=121);unilateral pleural plaques (n=10),bilateral pleural plaques (n=32);single pleural plaque in 5 cases, multiple pleural plaques in 37 cases. The largest pleural plaque was 4.2cm×1.2cm.There were a lot of shapes of the pleural plaques.Various shapes of calcifications could be showed in the calcified or mixed type pleural plaques. The pleural plaques distributed in the middle-inferior part, anterior / posterior-lateral chest wall, underlying the ribs in 28 cases (66.6 %),both bilateral domes of diaphragm in 10 cases and mediastinal pericardium in 4 cases. The pleural plaques associated with pulmonary intertitial fibrosis in 4 cases. No cases in the apices / costophrenic angles. No enhancement of pleural plaques in 6 cases which were administrated contrast scan. Conclusion SCT can clearly show the distribution, extention, shape, size, density and relation to adjacent tissues of the pleural plaques, and with asbestos exposure history, can make a diagnosis and differential diagnosis from other pleural thickened lesions.SCT is the best choice of imaging methods for asbestosis and pleural plaque.
6.Review of biosimilar regulatory guidelines and scientific principles:Experiences from Europe-an Medicines Agency (EMA) guidelines
Chinese Journal of Health Policy 2014;(10):21-26
In this study, a literature review was adopted to specify terminology of biosimilars and demonstrate the basic characteristic of biologics and relevant research and development ( R&D) procedures. The regulatory frame-work of the European Medicines Agency ( EMA ) guidelines on biosimilars was introduced. Explicitly, regulatory guidelines and scientific principles, regarding biosimilarity, safety and immunogenicity, extrapolation, labels and names, data protection, were systematically introduced, as well as interchangeability and pharmacovigilance, respec-tively. The purpose of the study is to provide regulatory references for Chinese legislators and recommendations on the R&D of biosimilars in the biopharmaceutical industry.
7.Analysis the status of the nosocomial infection management in hemodialysis sections of 41 hospitals in Fujian province
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2010;26(5):351-354
Objective To find out the status of nosocomial infection management in hemodialysis sections, in order to encourage their continuous quality improvement and standardize their management Methods 41 hemodialysis sections with (≥) 3 dialyzers and independent operation were chosen for investigation. On-site investigation and environmental microbiology monitoring combined. Results The higher the level of the hospital, the better the nosocomial infection control in its implementation of the infection control measures. In terms of rules and regulations, incompliant secondary hospitals and private hospitals accounted for 56. 2% of hospitals of the same ranking; in terms of layout and processes, 75% are found incompliant; and various defects are found in the dialyzer reuse management and disinfection in tertiary and lower hospitals. As to hand hygiene of the staff, the incompliance rate is over 55%. As indicated in the results of microbial environment monitoring, the compliance rate of dialysis water is over 90%, that of dialysate is 78.6% ~ 86.2%, and that of hand disinfection is 56.6%~78.6%.Conclusion It is imperative to strengthen the supervision of secondary hospitals and private hospitals, and to train their staff in the knowledge of hand hygiene and nosocomial infection in hemodialysis rooms.Hospitals found with poor infection management will be encouraged to take issue-specific actions for rectification.
8.Staphylococcus Resistance in Nosocomial Infection: An Analysis
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE To study the staphylococcus infection and the drug resistance among the outpetients and the inpatients, and to provide information for the clinical treatment.METHODS To cultivate and isolate bacteria according to the Clinical Laboratory Operation Regulation.Bacteria were identified with the automated analyzer VITEK-60.made by Bio-Merieux Company in France. The drug susceptibility was one with the method of single split agar diffusion.RESULTS Totally 159 strains of Staphylococcus were isolated from the outpatients,(46.1%) of which were MRSA.Most of the infection were caused through genital tract;390 strains of(Staphylococcus) were(isolated) from the inpatients,87.1% of which were MRSA.Most of the infection were caused through respiratory tract. Most of MSSA resisted to penicillin, but MRSA were sensitive to vancomycin and(teicoplanin.) (CONCLUSIONS) Preventing the spread of the MRSA is very important to the control of the nosocomial(infection). As far as the infective situation, most of the outpatients are infected through genital tract;while most of the inpatients are infected through respiratory tract. As far as the drug susceptibility, vancomycin is the best antibiotics, the next is teicoplanin. It is necessary to use combined drugs for the MRSA infection.
9.Details matter in visual outcomes of multifocal intraocular lens implantation
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(4):313-315
The broad application of phacoemulsification and multifocal intraocular lens (MIOL)implantation have been raising concern in postoperative visual outcomes due to the innate shortage of MIOL in design, which will probably results in the decline contrast sensitivity or/and some abnormal optical symptoms following the surgery.Optimizing visual outcomes of MIOL implantation and controlling adverse effects has been become the issue of focus for ophthalmologists, which is being discussed in details,e.g.patient selection, preparation of surgery, surgical techniques, etc.,in the following monograph.
