2.Effects of purslane herb on stress ability of aging mice induced by D-galactose
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(5):361-3
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of purslane herb aquenous extracts (PHAS) on the stress ability of aging mice induced by D-galactose. METHODS: We observed the survival time to hypoxia and heat survival rate of the mice treated with different doses of PHAS and vitamin E. The contents of lipofuscin and malondialdehyde (MDA), and the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in the brain and liver of the mice were tested. RESULTS: As compared with vitamin E, three doses of PHAS (1.6, 0.8 and 0.4 ml/d) prolonged the survival time to hypoxia and the pole climbing time and increased the heat survival rate, and the 0.8 ml/d PHAS had the best effect. In the group of 0.8 ml/d PHAS, the activity of SOD and CAT decreased less, and the contents of lipofuscin and MDA decreased significantly. The effect of vitamin E was not as good as the PHAS. CONCLUSION: PHAS can prevent the stress ability of the aging mice. One of its mechanisms may be increasing the activity of SOD and CAT, hence decreasing the damage of the oxidation products to the body.

4.Effect of PTTG on the growth and fluorouracil sensitivity of cholangiocarcinoma cell Line QBC939
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the effct of PTTG gene on the growth and sensitivity to 5-FU of cholangiocarcinoma cell. Methods The pcDNA3.1-PTTGas that contained full-length antisense PTTG,and pcDNA3.1(+) was transfected into the cholangiocarcinoma cell line QBC939.We successfully established and identified cell sublines tQBC939(PTTG-),tQBC939(pcDNA3.1).Cell growth curve was mapped out, cell proliferation rate was assessed by MTT assay and cell cycle percentage was counted by flow cytometry. After treatment with 5-FU,cell survival rate was assessed by MTT assay and IC50 was calculated.Flow cytometry and Hoechst staining were used to demonstrate discrepancy of cell apoptosis rates. Results Compared with other two groups,tQBC939(PTTG-) grew more rapidly and had a higher proportion of cells in S phase, whereas less cells in G2/M phase(P
6.Review of arsenic trioxide effect on solid cancer
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2003;24(4):440-443
Clinical trials have demonstrated that arsenic trioxide(As2O3) was effective in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL), based on this facts, studies have been carried out to study its role in the treatment of solid cancer at home and abroad. Primary in vitro study showed that As2O3 could treat the cancer of digestive system such as hepatoma, esophageal carcinoma, gastric cancer, and the cancer of urinary and reproductive system such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, bladder transitional carcinoma,as well as lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc. The mechanism of As2O3 actions may be the induction of apoptosis, the inhibition of growth and the promotion of differentiation of solid cancers. This article reviews on As2O3 in treatment of solid cancer.
7.Information needs and influencing factors for female breast cancer patients
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2012;28(3):172-175
Objective To explore the extent of information needs and influencing factors among breast cancer patients. Methods Choose patients by random with a questionnaire for malignant breast cancer patients(Chinese edition),and analyze the influencing factors in a multiple linear regression. Results The total extent of information needs among the patients is 65.615±20.854,with much stronger needs among those with younger age, higher income and/or suitable for surgery. Conclusion Information needs of the patients were found to depend on their various social attributes.Based on this founding, recommendations were made in terms of contents of information needs, care for vulnerable groups, and channels of information communication.
8.Surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in the clinical isolates from Chuzhou First Hospital, Anhui Province in 2015
Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy 2017;17(2):153-158
Objective To investigate?the?distribution?and?antibiotic?resistance?profile?of?clinical?isolates?in?2015?for?improving?antimicrobial treatment in Chuzhou First Hospital. Methods Bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing were?performed?with?MicroScan?WalkAway?96?PLUS?bacterial?identification?system.?All?the?data?were?analyzed?by?WHONET5.6?software. Results A total of 1499 clinical isolates were collected during 2015, of which gram positive organisms and gram negative organisms accounted for 24.7% and 75.3%, respectively. Prevalence of MRSA among S. aureus was 37.0% and MRCNS among CNS 86.3%. All (100%) Staphylococcus and E. faecalis isolates were susceptible to vancomycin, daptomycin and linezolid. About 2.8% of the E. faecium isolates were resistant to vancomycin. All the Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates were penicillin-susceptible, mainly isolated from children. The prevalence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) positive strains was 52.9% in E. coli, 30.8% in Klebsiella spp. (K. pneumoniae and K. oxytoca) and 25.0% in P. mirabilis. The ESBLs-positive strains showed higher resistance rate than ESBLs-negative strains to most antibiotics. The percentage of the P. aeruginosa isolates resistant to meropenem and imipenem was all 29.4%. The percentage of the Acinetobacter spp. (A. baumannii accounted for 85.5%) strains resistant to imipenem and meropenem was 63.0% and 64.5%, respectively. Conclusions Antibiotic resistance is still serious in Chuzhou First Hospital in 2015, especially the emerging carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, which is of great concern.
