Objective To find a grading method for assisting in evaluating hypoxia degree of patients with pulmonary heart disease non-invasively. Methods To design a quantitative method to score degree of hypoxia of 67 patients with pulmonary heart disease by using acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) as a frame and to make comparative analysis between the grading result and artery blood gas to find the correlation. Results There was a negative correlation between evaluation mark and pH、PaO2、SaO2 and a positive correlation between the evaluation mark and PaCO2, according to statistics. Conclusions Although the grading table of hypoxia evaluation can not substitute blood gas analysis, acting as a non-invasive method to assist in evaluating the hypoxia degree of patients with pulmonary heart disease, it can not only relieve patients' repeated punctuation pain, but also achieve the goal of estimating hypoxia.Consequently the non-invasive method to evaluate hypoxia is of clinical value.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of prenatal screening by analyzing the second -trimes-ter maternal serum screening results and prognosis .Methods The second-trimester maternal serum screening in-cluding alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) andβ-human chorionic gonadotrophin (β-HCG) was tested by time-resolu-tion immunofluorescence .2T-Risks software was used to evaluate fetal risk of three kinds of defects , such as trisomy 21, trisomy 18 and neural tube defects (NTD).For those of pregnant women with high -risk screening results, am-niotic fluid, umbilical cord blood karyotype analysis or four -dimensional color Doppler ultrasound scan can be rec-ommended to confirm the diagnosis .Results This research included the analysis of 10 668 cases of pregnant meta-phase prenatal screening results .677 cases were in high-risk, which took up 6.35%.Among those 677 cases, 501 cases had high-risk 21-trisomy Syndrome , and 104 cases had high-risk NTD.72 cases with high-risk 18-tri-somy Syndrome had been found , and the percentage of those cases above were 4.70%, 0.97%and 0.67%, respec-tively.As for the 677 follow-up pregnant women with high risks , the results indicated that during those 356 high-risk women, who had performed prenatal diagnosis , 2 cases of 21-trisomy Syndrome, 3 cases of NTD, and 4 cases of structural abnormalities had been found .In addition , there were 19 cases of spontaneous abortion and stillbirth , as well as 10 cases of other abnormalities .There are 40 abnormal cases in total , which took up an abnormal percentage of 5.91%.In those 9 991 follow-up pregnant women with low risks , there are 57 cases (0.57%) presented abnor-mal, in which had 1 cases with 21-trisomy Syndrome, 2 cases with NTD, 3 cases with deformity, 23 cases of spon-taneous abortion and stillbirth and 28 other abnormal cases .Conclusion The second -trimester maternal serum screening plays an important clinical role in the prediction of abnormal fetus and prevention of birth defects .

Objective To evaluate the the effect of vancomycin artificial bone on the treatment of elderly patients with chronic osteomyelitis and the influence to TNF-α.MethodsIn Yongkang orthopaedic hospital, 48 cases of elderly patients with chronic osteomyelitis were selected as the object of study, and were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, 24 cases in each group.This is a retrospective study.Three days before operation, the control group were given cloxacillin 2g/d by 4 times intravenous drip.The experimental group were given Norvancomycin Hydrochloride 0.8g/d by two times intravenous drip.In the process of operation, the control group were given bone graft substitutes 5-10g and the experimental group were given Norvancomycin Hydrochloride 1g that is added to the water to form a paste.After operation, the control group were given cloxacillin 2g/d by 4 times intravenous dripand the experimental group were given Norvancomycin Hydrochloride 0.8g/d by 2 times intravenous drip.The two groups were treated continuously for two weeks.The effect,CRP, ESR, TNF-α, NF-κB and adverse drug reactions were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe effect in the experiment group was 95.45%,is significant higher than that in the control group 81.82%(P<0.05).The serum level of CRP、ESR、TNF-α and NF-κB decreased post-treatment in the experiment group much lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The adverse drug reactions was not statistically different between the two groups.ConclusionVancomycin artificial bone on the treatment of elderly patients with chronic osteomyelitis was effective with high safety and it can decrease the level of TNF-α.

Objective To investigate the expression of nm23,integrin ? 5? 1 and VEGF in breast cancer(BC),and the effect of the expression on the development of BC. Methods The expression of nm23, integrin ? 5? 1 and VEGF in 51 patients with breast cancer were examined by immunohistochemistry,and their correlatios were ananlyzed. Results The low expression of nm23 in BC tissue was associated with lymph nodes metastasis. Objective To investigate the levels of peripheral blood plasma M-ficolin/L-ficolin and their correlation with clinical indexes in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods M-ficolin/L-ficolin was detected in the plasma of 61 RA patients who were grouped according to the disease activity and 18 healthy controls by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The relationships between the levels of M-ficolin/L-ficolin and laboratory parameters,disease activity were investigated in RA patients.Statistical analysis were performed by t-test,one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA),rank-sum test,correlation analysis was carried out with Pearson/ Spearman rank correlation test.Results ① M-ficolin levels in 61 RA patients were [M (QR) 39 (24) ng/ml] significantly higher than healthy controls (14±4) ng/ml (Z=-5.72,P＜0.05).L-ficolin levels in 61 RA patients were (1.7±0.6) μg/ml obviously higher than healthy controls (1.3±0.5) μg/ml (t=2.55,P=0.013).② The M-ficolin levels of 61 RA patients in low,mediate,high disease activity group were (21±5) ng/ml,[M(QR) 35(13) ng/ml),[M(QR) 50(25) ng/ml].There was significant difference among the three groups (P＜0.01).The L-ficolin levels of 61 RA patients in low、mediate,high disease activity group were (1.2±0.5) μg/ml,(1.7±0.4) μg/ml and (2.2±0.6) μg/ml.There was significant difference among the three groups (P＜0.05).(M-ficolin levels were positively correlated with disease activity score (DAS)28,erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C reactive protein (CRP),rheumatoid factor (RF),white blood cell (WBC),Note Express User Tool (NEUT),MONO,blood platelet (PLT) (r=0.830,0.692,0.725,0.667,0.388,0.397,0.338,0.476,P＜0.05),L-ficolin levels were positively correlated with DAS28,ESR,CRP,RF,WBC,NEUT,MONO,PLT (r=0.653,0.593,0.630,0.468,0.254,0.302,0.312,0.340,P＜0.05).Conclusion M-ficolin/L-ficolin levels increase in RA patients and correlate with disease activity,which suggests that the complement system may play an important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.

Objective: To investigate the role of host derived matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in the pathogenesis of pulpitis. Methods:The expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were examined by immunohistochemical method and the activity of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were measured by gelatin zymography in 20 clinically healthy and 20 inflamed human dental pulps of extracted mandibular 3rd molars.Results:In clinically healthy and inflamed human pulps both MMP-2 and MMP-9 were expressed in odontoblasts and fibroblasts. The pro-MMP-9 was detectable in both inflamed and healthy pulps. The level of pro-MMP-9 was higher in inflamed pulps than that in the healthy(P0.05).Pro-MMP-2 and active MMP-2 were not detectable in the pulps of the two groups. Conclusion:MMP-9 may involve in the pathogenesis of pulpitis.

Animal model of aged rat nephrotoxicity was induced by i. p. administrationof gentamycin in a dose of 140mg/kg/day. Part of those rats were treated with CordycepsSinensis(CS), Epimedium(Ep) and Astragalus Membranaccus (AM) in form of decoc-tion per Os and others seryed as control. The results were summarized as. 1. The nephro-toxicity of gentamycin was aggrevated with age. CS, Ep and AM are effective drugs inpreventing the tdeular damage caused by gentamycin in rats. The pathological changes ofrenal tuoules of the rat groups which treated with CS, Ep and AM were less severe thanthat of the control. 2. CS, Ep and AM could prevent the decline of renal cortical Na~+-K~+-ATPase activity of aged rat induced by gentamycin.

Studying of atherosclerosis is more than a hundred year.There are many theories about this disease,but now most of us seems to agree with the stress-reponse theory.Heat shock proteins are the products produced at the first stage of atherosclerosis.And someone think that it may have something to do with atherosclerosis.This paper discussed the heat shock proteins and atherosclerosis respectively,and emphasized the relationship between them.

As an important inflammatory cytokine, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNT-α) plays an important role in the process of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. The discussion of the dynamic changes, the mechanism of neurotoxicity and antagonizing the therapeutic effect of TNF-α in the process of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury will provide theoretical basis for the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases.

OBJECTIVE:To determine the content of 5 kinds of heavy metal elements in Astragalus membranaceus from Longxi of Gansu province,i.e. Pb,Cd,Cu,As,Hg. METHODS:Wet digestion pretreatment was carried out for samples and atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) was used for the determination of heavy metal elements. RESULTS:The contents of 5 kinds of heavy metal elements in A. membranaceus from Longxi of Gansu Province were lower than the limit. CONCLUSION:AAS method can accurately determine the content of heavy metal elements in A. membranaceus.
