Objective:To explore the influence of radiofrequency ablation (RFA)on P-wave dispersion (difference between maximum and minimum P-wave interval)in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF).Methods:A total of 95 PAF patients underwent circumferential pulmonary vein isolation. The preoperative and postoperative 12-lead ECG were recorded for 24h,maximum P-wave interval (Pmax)and minimum P-wave interval (Pmin)were measured, and P-wave dispersion was calculated.Since three months after operation, patients received outpatient follow up and dynamic ECG every month for six months. The operation was judged for successful or not according to symptoms of atrial fibrillation and dynamic ECG results, and patients were divided into success group (n=70)and recurrence group (n=25).Results:Compared with before operation, there was significant reduction in P-wave dis-persion [(48.84±4.08)ms vs.(42.22±4.02)ms,P <0.01]in all PAF patients after RFA.Compared with be-fore operation, there was significant reduction in P-wave dispersion [(47.63±3.58)ms vs.(40.67±4.82)ms,P<0.01]in success group;and reduction in P-wave dispersion [(49.51±1.64)ms vs.(48.26±3.48)ms]in recur-rence group, but no significant difference (P =0.346).After circumferential pulmonary vein isolation,P-wave dis-persion in success group was significantly lower than that of recurrence group (P <0.01).Conclusion:Circumferen-tial pulmonary vein ablation can improve P-wave dispersion in patients with atrial fibrillation, and it's more signifi-cant for success group.P-wave dispersion can predict the recurrence of atrial fibrillation after circumferential pulmo-nary vein ablation.

OBJECTIVETo compare the difference in clinical efficacy on children attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) between the combined therapy of scalp acupuncture and EGG biofeedback and the simple EEG biofeedback therapy so as to search the better therapeutic method for ADHD.
METHODSOne hundred patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 50 cases in each one. In the control group, the simple EEG biofeedback therapy was adopted. In the observation group, on the basis of biofeedback therapy, scalp acupuncture was added and applied to Dingzhongxian (MS 5), Dingpangyixian (MS 8), Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), etc. The ten treatments made one session. After four sessions of treatment, FIQ value in Wechsler intelligence scale, CIH score in Conners children behavior questionnaire, the ratio of 0 wave and p wave in EEG, FRCQ and FAQ in the integrated visual and auditory continuous performance test (IVA-CPT) and clinical comprehensive efficacy were observed before and after treatment in the two groups separately.
RESULTSThree cases were dropped out in the observation group and 2 cases were out in the control group. In the two groups, FIQ, FRCQ and FAQ were all increased after treatment (P < 0.01, P < 0.05); the increases in the observation group were much more significant than those in the control group after treatment (all P < 0.05). In the two groups, CIH score and the ratio of 0 wave and p wave were all reduced after treatment (P < 0.01, P < 0.05); the reduction in the observation group were much more apparent as compared with those in the control group (both P< 0.05). The total effective rate was 91.5% (43/47) in the observation group and better than 83. 3% (40/48, P < 0.01) in the control group.
CONCLUSIONThe combined therapy of scalp acupuncture and EEG biofeedback achieves the superior efficacy on children ADHD as compared with the simple biofeedback therapy. This combined therapy rapidly relieves the essential symptoms of ADHD and improves EEG waveform in children patients. Importantly, this therapy obtains and consolidates the significant efficacy.

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy of combination therapy of clomiphene and Chinese drugs for nourishing Shen and activating blood circulation (NSABC) in treating Stein-Leventhal syndrome caused sterility.
METHODSSixty-two patients with anovulation caused sterility were randomly divided into the treated group (n = 32) and the control group (n = 30). The treated grop was treated with the combination therapy and the control group treated by the same dosage of clomiphene alone.
RESULTSAfter treatment, when comparing with that before treatment, the endocrine hormones in the treated group improved significantly, showing a markedly decrease of androgen and luteotropic hormone, and increase of estrogen (P < 0.001). The periodic ovulation rate in the treated group reached 87%, the total pregnancy rate being 65.6%, with no occurrence of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome (LUFS), while in the control group, the periodic ovulation rate was 66%, the total pregnancy rate 36.6%, with LUFS occurred in 4 patients. Comparison of the therapeutic effects between the two groups showed significant difference (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe combination therapy of clomiphene and NSABC has a better therapeutic effect in treating Stein-Leventhal syndrome caused sterility than that of using clomiphene alone.
