Development of drug dosage forms to a great extent depends on the development of drug auxiliary materials. The development of a new type of polymeric drug auxiliary materials will bring on the developing of a novel dosage forms technology and a flood of new drug dosage forms. Thermoplastic elastomer is a new type of drug polymeric auxiliary materials, at present, which has a broad application in the field of hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesives. This review mainly discussed a new transtermal Chinese drug delivery system, including matrix composition of the formula, modified thermoplastic elastomer for hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesives and their development prospects in the traditional Chinese drug delivery system. It suggested that thermoplastic elastomer of hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesives has broad development prospects in the field of the transtermal drug delivery system for traditional Chinese medicine.

Objective To explore the influence of policy support on attitude of staff toward contracted service in community health service ( CHS) centers in different areas of China. Methods A multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method was used to select participants, and questionnaire survey was conducted among 192 staff (99 from Chengdu and 93 from Xiamen) from 4 community health service centers in Chengdu and Xiamen. In addition, documents on contracted service in CHS were collected and analyzed. EpiData software was used to establish database. Double input and cross-check were implemented. SAS version 9.4 was used for data analyses. Results Differences were found in goals, financial modes and insurances coverage in contracted service in the two areas. Among the 192 participants, 80.7% considered that contracted service was worth to carry out; 90.8% supported the implementation of contracted service in local settings and 78.1% were willing to take more work load on contracted service. In contrary, only 41.6% wished their child work as a family doctor. The main reasons for the negative attitudes were that the performance-based salary system had not been well established or implemented, and there was much more work load that resulted from contracted service. Conclusions The majority of the study subjects held positive attitude toward contracted service, but there were disparities between the four study sites. Relative policy and financial support, proper human resource distribution were critical determinants of contracted service.

OBJECTIVETo study the percutaneous permeability of patches Shangshi Zhitong on different kinds of bases with the permeation percentage of brucine, strychnine and atropine.
METHODUsing modified Franz difusion to investigate the penetration quantity of brucine, strychnine and atropine. The contents of brucine, strychnine and atropine were determined by HPLC.
RESULTThe average accumulative permeation percentage of brucine, strychnine and atropine on new base were 53.25%, 74.52% were 34.32%, respectively, and on old base are 54.90%, 50.24%, 46. 54%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe new base benefits the lipophilic drugs and releases more stably.

Objective To study the hematopoietic stem cell injury(HSC)induced by busulfan. Methods C57BL/6 mice were treated with i.p. injection of 20 mg/kg or 40 mg/kg busulfan. All mice were euthanized at 15 days and 30 days after busulfan treatment for analysis of the peripheral blood cell counts, bone marrow cellularity and HPC (LKS-, lineage-sca1 -c-kit+), HSC(LSK, lineage-sca1 +c-kit+)and long-term HSC(CD34 - LSK, CD34 - lineage-sca1 +c-kit+)frequency. The colony-forming unit-granulocyte and macrophage(CFU-GM)ability of HPC was measured by colony-forming cell(CFC)assay, and the HSC self-renewal capacity was analyzed by single-cell colony-forming assay. Results The busulfan administration decreased the WBC,RBC and PLT compared with control mice. The HPC function (CFU-GM)was impaired(P < 0.05), and the HSC colony forming ability was decreased at 15 days after busulfan treatment(P < 0.05), whereas the body weight of the mice didn't change significantly after busulfan treatment. Conclusions Our findings suggest that busulfan can induce hematopoietic stem cell injury, and provide a support for the study of hematopoietic stem cell injury mechanism.
