4.Analysis of Knowledge in Nursing Management Educational Objectives based on Anderson's Revision of Bloom's Taxonomy
Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration 2019;25(3):198-207
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to analyze the Nursing management educational objectives and nurse duties required to be achieved in the nursing management curriculum in nursing job analysis. METHODS: Nursing management educational objectives and knowledge to be achieved in a nursing management curriculum in nursing job analysis were analyzed using Anderson's Revision of Bloom's taxonomy of Educational Objectives. RESULTS: The analysis showed that 172 (59.3%) of the 290 educational objectives of the nursing management corresponded to ‘conceptual knowledge’ and 167 (57.6%) of the ‘cognitive process dimension’ were ‘understanding’. In the job analysis, 29 out of 57 (50.9%) were procedural knowledge. The finding indicates that ‘health promotion and maintenance’ duty was excluded from the job analysis, but included in the nursing management curriculum and objectives. CONCLUSION: The results of this study contribute to the foundation of nursing management as a practical study by analyzing the goal of nursing management learning in connection with the job analysis required in the field.

6.Terrien's Marginal Degeneration of the Cornea.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1976;17(1):95-98
Marginal degenration of the cornea was first described by Triimpy in 1881. Since then other investigators have reported many marginal degenerations of the cornea in various different clinical nomenclatures but it has never been described in Korea. Marginal or peripheral degeneratoin of the cornea was also reported by Terrien in 1900. The condition is uncommon and usually bilateral although one side may be more advanced than the other. It occurs most often (about 75%) in male in the age brancket of 10 to 70 but majority of cases were noted before the age of 40. Clinically the disease starts with peripheral opacity in punctate pattern simulating an arcus seniHs and vascularized. As the problem advances, furrow gradually develops and spreads all around the periphery of the cornea in circumferential fashion. The cornea becomes extremely thin in this area but epithelium is intact. At the central margin of the furrow, one may see an advancing edge of lipid. The two cases reported in the following are a 20 year old Korean lady with unilateral marginal corneal degeneration in the inferior part of the cornea, and a 68 year old man with typical bilateral marginal corneal degeneration which has developed since his age of 27.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1975;13(1):5-7
Disfiguring hyperpigmentation of the exposed areas may have impartant and lasting effects on the emotional well-being of the patient. And many attempts to treat areas of hyperpigmentation have been earried out, but all of them are not very successful. Recently 4-isopropylcatechol has been known to inhibit melanin pigmentation with a selective action on melanocytes either destroying or inactivating the melanocytes experimentally. There is no report on its clinical trial till now. In this study, 1% 4-isopropylcatechol cream was topieally applied to the hyperpigmented lesions of 29 patieots of melasma, freckle, and cafe-au-lait spot. The bleaching effect on meiasmas was very satisfactory in all patients but coantact dermatltis in 3 patients and reticular hyperpigmentation with areas of depigmented spots in one patient were developed as the side effects of the drug. Freckle and cafe-au-Iait spots were not bleached.

9.Kayser-Fleischer Ring in Wilson's Disease.
Hong Bok KIM ; Ji Cheon KIM ; Young Ja BYUN
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1979;20(1):129-133
Wilson's disease is a familial disease characterized by coarsely nodular cirrhosis of the liver, sometimes associated with progressive damage to the nervous system, and the appearance of a coloured ring in the cornea. Wilson's disease is an inborn error of copper metabolism in which the synthesis of ceruloplasmin, with which copper forms a table compound in the blood, is diminished and there is an increased absorption of copper from the gastrointestinal tract together with an increased output in the urine. The Kayser-Fleischer ring is originally described by Kayser(1902) and later by Fleischer(1903). The colours of Kayser-Fleischer ring is seen, varing from rub by red to bright green or an 1lltramarine blue. sometimes interspersed with yellow or smoky shade of brown. The ring starts dose to the limbus as a sharp line just where the endothelial pattern begins to be seen distinctly, extends over a breadth of I to 3mm.. and gradually fades away towards the center of the cornea. Harry et al(1970) described that electron microscopy showed the presence of electron dense deposits of varing size lying mainly in Descmet's membrane and confirmed that the deposits were copper. A 14 year old korean boy with Wilson's disease was found to have Kayser-Fleischer ring in the cornea(ou) and greenish brown pigments on the anterior surface of the lens (ou). In about 16 months after the administration of penicillamine(chelating agent), greenish brown pigments on the anterior surface of the lens (ou) were disappeared remaining Kayser Fleischer ring unchanged.

10.Squamous Cell Carcinoma Simulating Chalazion in the Upper Eyelid.
Hong Bok KIM ; Ji Cheon KIM ; Young Ja BYUN
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1979;20(1):83-87
Carcinoma of the lids has the highest incidence of any malignant ocular tumor. It is most frequent in men over 50 years of age. The majority of lid carcinoma are of the basal cell type, the remaining consist of squamous cell carcinomas and meibomian gland carcinomas. Basal cell carcinoma is much more common in the lower lid; squamous cell carcinoma in the upper lid. Squamous cell carcinoma grows slowly and painlessly, and may be present for months before it is noted. It may occlude meibomian ducts and produce an inflammatory element which may confuses the clinical picture. A 57 years old man with bronchogenic carcinoma was referred for eye consultation and found to have a small painless nodule on right upper lid that was thought to be chalazion. Palpation of preauricular, submaxillary or cervical node was negative. This small nodule was excised radically for microscopic examination to rule out a probable metastatic lesion from bronchogenic carcinma. Histopathologically, this tumor was reported not to be a secondary but to be a primary squamous cell carcinoma on right upper lid.
