Child Health Nursing Research 2019;25(3):344-354
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to examine types of parenting among fathers. The characteristics of parenting each type in early childhood were identified by systematically analyzing and classifying father's perceptions of parenting using the Q-methodology, which places importance on the perspective of the performer. METHODS: The Q-method, which is effective for measuring individual subjectivity was used. The subjects in this study were 50 fathers with young children (2~36 months). RESULTS: Four parenting types were identified analyzing the subjective perceptions of fathers with young children about parenting. One type was centered on character development. Another was centered on social development. A third was centered on physical health and development. The fourth was centered on building values. CONCLUSION: Parenting education programs should be developed based on type-specific characteristics and further research should investigate the effects of father's parenting type.

Korean Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 1991;11(1):73-76
Herpetic esophagitis is a rare disease occuring mostly ie immunocompromised and cancer patient. It is also documented as self-limiting esopbagitis in young healthy adults. We report here a 30- year-old immunocompetent male patient with esophageal ulceration. Heryetic esophagitis was diagnosed by characteristic endoscopic and microscopic findings. And the diagnosis was confirmed by electron microscopic appearance. This immunocompetent patient recovered spontaneously with symptomatic treatment only. And repeat endoscopy and histology confirmed absence of herpes infection.

Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 1997;40(2):275-280
OBJECTIVE: Our purpose was to determine whether amniotic amniotic fluid concentrations of interleukin-6 are valuable in the prediction of histologic chorioamnionitis and in the prediction of perinatal morbidity. STUDY DESIGN: The relation among amniotic fluid imterleukin-6, histologic chorioamnionitis, and perinatal outcome was examined in patients with preterm labor and intact membranes. Interleukin-6 was determined by ELISA method. RESULTS: Patients with histologic chorioamnionitis had significantly higher amniotic fluld interleukin-6 concentrations than patient without histologic chrioamnionitis. Also, patient with histologic chorioamnioitis had significantly higher perinatal morbidity rate than patient without histologic chorioamnionitis. An ammiotic fluld interlerkin-6 concentration had a sensitivity of 75% and a specificity of 62.5% in the diagnosis of preterm delivery. CONCLUSION: Amniotic fluld interleukin-6 is a sensitive test for the prediction of histologic chorioamnionitis and of perinatal morbidity.
