Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Phyllosphere and epiphytes have attracted significant interest of more and more researchers by their unique biological characteristics. Progress of research on phyllosphere and epiphytes was summarized in this paper, and the special emphasis was put on the characteristic of phyllosphere, microbial communities, invasion and the location of bacteria on leaf surfaces. Some ideas for further studies on phyllosphere microbes were also proposed.

Objective To evaluate the imaging features of patients with vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) induced by Subcortical Ischemic Vascular Disease (SIVD), through magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging ( DTI ) and proton spectroscopy ( MRS ) technology. Methods A total of 52 patients with SIVD were enrolled. After analysis of scale score, 32 patients with cognitive impairment were assigned to VCI group and 20 patients with no cognitive impairment were assigned to control group. Both group received DTI and MRS examination. The mean values of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and fractional anisotropy (FA) of the bilateral temporal, frontal, parietal and occipital white matter regions as well as in the bilateral centrum semiovale were calculated. The peak value of MRS of N-acetyl aspartate (NAA) , choline ( Cho), creatine (Cr) and phaseomannite ( mI ) were calculated. Results Compared with control group, FA decreased in the region of temporal, frontal, parietal as well as in the centrum semiovale , and ADC increased in VC[group ( P < 0.05 ) . In the frontal regions and centrum semiovale, the VCI patients had a significant FA decrease. The ADC value increased obviously in the temperal lobe.Spectrum analysis results showed, NAA/Cr was lower than control group in VCI group in the frontal lobe (1.43 ±0.08 vs 1.53 ± 0. 92), while mI/Cr was higher than control group in the temporal lobe(0. 51 ±0. 06 vs 0. 46 ± 0. 07 ) ( P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion FA in the temporal and centrum semiovale regions of VCI group and NAA in the temporal white matter regions decreased obviously. DTI and MRS could provide a reference value for early diagnosis and assessment of VCI.

A total of 1140 medical workers from 8 public hospitals of secondary and tertiary levels in Anhui were surveyed with questionnaire. Their knowledge of the reform, acknowledgement of key points of the reform, desire of participating in the reform and other factors that may influence the reform were investigated as categorized by their hospital, position, title and age. This study comes up with such recommendations as reinforcing communications on public hospital reform, reforming the compensation mechanism to clarify government responsibilities, probing into a better model for multi-institution practice of certified physicians, and encouraging private capital to participate in medical service while ensuring its non-profit nature, and improving the performance appraisal mechanism to ensure incentives of medical workers. These recommendations aim to enable the health administrators in their decision making.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA)is the most common rheumatology disease in childhood period with poor prognosis. The biological agents are newly developed drugs with features of clear therapeutic targets and fast effects. But its use in JIA is still limited,so this article focuses on the clinical use experience, timming and sideffects of the biological agents on JIA.

Background Posterior capsular opacification (PCO) following the extracapsular extract of cataract is associated with the proliferation and migration of residual lens epithelial cells (LECs).Study showed that the incidence of PCO is higher in diabetic patients than those of non-diabetes.So if insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) participates in the pathogenesis of PCO deserve research. Objective This study was to explore the active mechanism of IGF-1/IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1 R) system in the migration of LECs and offer theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment of PCO.Methods Human lens epithelial cell lines (HLEC-B3) were cultured and passaged in DMEM.The cells were identified using fluorescence immunocytometry.IGF-1 with the concentrations of 0,30,90 μg/L were added into the medium separately for 48 hours. The numbers of migrated cells were calculated by Transwell test. The cells were cultured in DMEM containing 0,1.5,30,60,90 μg/L IGF-1,and the expressions of IGF-1 Rα and IGF-1Rβ in the cells were assayed and compared by Western bolt. Results The cultured showed the positive response for α-crystallin anibody with red fluorescence in the cellular membrane.Twelve hours after Transwell incubation, the number of migrated cells (Median) was 0(0,1),10(10,11) and 29(27,31) in the 0 μg/L IGF-1 group,30 μg/L IGF-1 group and 90 μg/L IGF-1 group, respectively, showing a significant difference among the 3 groups (Z=12.610,P=0.002).The number of migrated cells in the 30 μg/L IGF-1 group and 90 μg/L IGF-1 group was significantly more than that of the 0 μg/L IGF-1 group (both at P =0.008),and the number of migrated cells in the 90 μg/L IGF-1 group was significantly more than that of the 30 μg/L IGF-1group (P =0.009).Western blot assay showed that the expressions of IGF-1Rα and IGF-1Rβ in the cells were significantly different among the 0,1.5,30,60,90 μg/L IGF-1 groups (F=63.700,130.530,both P =0.000).The expressions of IGF-1 Rα and IGF-1Rβ were gradually elevated as increase of IGF-1 doses when then concentration of IGF-1 was > 30 μg/L,with significant differences among the different concentrations groups (all at P<0.05).Conclusions IGF-1 can upregulate the expressions of IGF-1R in HLEC-B3 cells in vitro in a dose-dependent manner.Also,IGF-1 enhances the migration ability of HLEC-B3 cells. These results suggest that activation of IGF-1/IGF-1R system may be associated with the pathogenesis of PCO.

Objective To observe the effect of rapid reduction of physical activity on bone mass (BMC), bone mineral density (BMD)and bone metabolism in growing rats. Methods 48 male SD rats were divided into the high-intensity exercise group (T1, n=12), high tolow-intensity exercise group (T2, n=12), low-intensity exercise group (T3, n=12) and control group (Con, n=12). During the first 6 weeks, the rats in T1 and T2 group ran on treadmill with high intensity, while rats in T3 group took low-intensity treadmill exercise. 6 rats were sacrificedfrom each group at the end of 6th week. BMC, BMD of femur were measured with DEXA. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), osteocalcin(BGP), tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRACP) were detected with ELISA. The exercise intensity of T2 group was reduced rapidly to alow level as in T3 group, but remained in the other 2 groups. At the end of the second 6 weeks, the other rats were investigated again. ResultsCompared with the first measurements, ALP and BGP of the T2 group decreased significantly (P<0.05), and TRACP increased (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in BMC and BMD of femur (P>0.05). Conclusion Rapid reduction of physical activity can suppressbone formation and stimulate bone resorption of long bone among growing rats.

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2015;28(1):85-89
Successful pain management of perioperative shoulder arthroscopy may allow patients to go home earlier, improve the quality of life in perioperative period, and facilitate rehabilitation. A comprehensive method to perioperative pain control has three stages including preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phase. Successful pain reduction should begin preoperatively because of an excellent communication between patient and physician, moreover, preoperative analgesia also should be administered. Intraoperative efforts should include local wound infiltration and the administration of anesthetic medication intra-articularly. Postoperative management should include oral analgesics, constant infusion devices, Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA), sedative-hypnotic drug, continuous cryotherapy and vicarious treatment.
