Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2010;16(7):666-667
Objective To observe the effect of functional training combined with Chinese medicine hot pack-electrotherapy on knee osteoarthritis. Methods60 patients with knee osteoarthritis were divided into two groups. The treatment group was treated with functional training combined with Chinese medicine hot pack-electrotherapy; the control group was treated with Chinese medicine herbs hot pack-electrotherapy only. They were assessed with Lysholm Knee Scale. ResultsAfter treatment, the scores of Lysholm Knee Scale improved significantly in both groups (P=0.000), and more in the treatment group than in the control group (P=0.013). ConclusionFunctional training combined with Chinese medicine hot pack-electrotherapy is an effective and safe treatment for knee osteoarthritis.
6.Measurement of intraocular stray light and its clinical significance
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;(12):1139-1143
Stray light is a physical phenomenon that degrades visual quality when light scattering occurs in the human eye.It is a main cause of the disabling glare.Stray light originates in cornea, iris, sclera, lens and retina, and these ocular tissues contribute to the total amount of stray light in a normal eye.The light scattering intensity increases when the transparency of any optical element mentioned above reduces.Stray light can be measured by several different methods, but the measurements still lacks a standardized procedure and outcome.Further clinical study is necessary to quantify and standardize the measuring method of stray light. This article aims to introduce the concept, source and clinical significance of stray light, and to provide its advanced measurement techniques and methods.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the study of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of chloasma, and to provide reference for clinical treatment and study of chloasma. METHODS:Retrieved from CBM,Wanfang database,CNKI and VIP,usingchloasmaas subject, the literatures of TCM therapy were collected during Jan. 2003-Dec. 2012. Bibliometric meth-od was adopted to analyze included literatures statistically in respects of publication amount, periodicals, research institution,litera-ture types, citing references, other periodicals citatien times, fund support, distribution of provinces and cities. RESULTS:During 2005-2012,the amount of the literatures increased slowly. Among top 10 journals in the list of publication amount, only Chinese Journal of Aesthetic Medicine was not TCM journal and took up the first place. Among top 7 research institutions in the list of publi-cation amount,TCM colleges took up predominant place, followed by TCM hospitals. The types of the literatures were mainly case report, contrastive study before and after treatment,group-divided control study;the amount of group-divided control studies increased gradually year by year. The references cited were mainly English literatures. There were 82 literatures which were cited by other periodicals more than 10 times;the highest time of other periodical citation per literature was 47 times;only 11 literatures were supported by fund. The institutions of literatures authors were distributed in 32 provinces, cities and autonomous regions of China, mainly in the eastern coastal areas. CONCLUSIONS:More and more attention has being paid to TCM therapy for chloas-ma,but the scope and depth of the studies were inadequate. From the point of view of modern medicine,we can explore the patho-logical TCM mechanism and the treatment method of shortening the course of disease.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2003;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the clinical features, diagnosis and therapy of avascular necrosis of the femoral head after renal transplantation Methods Of the 24 renal transplantation patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head 0.7 - 7.8 years postoperatively, 20 cases were unilateral and 4 bilateral respectively. According to the standard of Ficat's, all cases were classed as 0-Ⅳ stages. All cases accepted immunosuppressive therapy that included corticoids. The corticoids were reduced in dose at the time when the patients were diagnosed as having avascular necrosis of femoral head and withdrawn in 2 weeks. Surgical treatment was not done unless the expectant treatment was invalid. Results The clinical manifestations of femoral head avascular necrosis after renal transplantation included knee joint, hip joint, inguina or thigh pain in the earlier period (Ⅰ-Ⅱa stage) and hip joint pain in progression (Ⅱb-Ⅳ stage). Some cases were associated with hip joint flex, adduct, abduction and intorsion dysfunction. After expectant treatment, the symptoms of hip were alleviated or disappeared in 4 cases; In 16 cases, the symptoms of hip were relieved to some extent, but Ficat’s stage had no change. Eight cases had no reaction to expectant treatment and were subjected to surgical operation. In 4 cases, acute rejection occurred after corticoid withdrawal, reversed after therapy by MP and ATG and could tolerance corticoid withdrawal again. Conclusion Corticoid is the main reason of avascular necrosis of the femoral head after renal transplantation. The therapeutic effectiveness of avascular necrosis of the femoral head was not satisfactory and the emphasis was put on the prevention.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2005;0(12):-
6.2 mmol/L) who underwent renal transplantation accepted pravastatin therapy (10 mg, qn) for 8 weeks. The changes of total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) , triglyceride (TG), endothelin (ET) and nitrous oxide (NO) were measured before and after pravastatin treatment. By using high resolution ultrasound, endotheli-um-dependent relaxing function was measured before and post pravastatin treatment. Thirty people with normal blood cholesterol served as controls and subjected to the above examinations. Results In renal transplantation group, ET was significantly higher and NO significantly lower than in control group. After treatment with pravastatin, NO was significantly increased, while ET, TC, LDL-C and TG were significantly reduced. HDL-C was increased, but no significant difference was found. Flow-mediated vasodilations were greater after pravastatin treatment than before, but smaller than control group. Conclusion Pravastatin can theat dyslipidemia after renal transplantation and improve impaired endothelium-dependent vasodilation.
