2.Observations on the Therapeutic Effect of Abdominal Acupuncture on Cervicogenic Headache
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(8):995-998
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture in treating cervicogenic headache. Method Sixty-three patients meeting the diagnostic criteria of cervicogenic headache were allocated using a random number table: 33 cases to the abdominal acupuncture group and 30 cases to the acupuncture groups. The abdominal acupuncture group of patients received abdominal acupuncture and the acupuncture group of patients, body acupuncture. The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups of patients after three courses of treatment. The headache index score was recorded at the same time. Result The total efficacy rate was 84.8% in the abdominal acupuncture group and 63.3% in the acupuncture group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The pain index score decreased significantly in both groups after treatment (P<0.05) and decreased more in the abdominal acupuncture group than in the acupuncture group (P<0.05). Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture is more effective than conventional acupuncture in treating cervicogenic headache. It is a new effective way to clinically treat cervicogenic headache.

BACKGROUND:Pathogenesis of osteoarthritis is poorly understood, however, studies have demonstrated that vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)Is involved in the progression of osteoarthritis.OBJECTIVE:To detect the changes of VEGF mRNA expression of synovium in rabbit osteoarthritis and to evaluate the effect of sodium hyaluronate on its expression.METHODS:Twenty four white rabbits were divided into the normal control, physiologic saline, and sodium hyaluronate groups. The unilateral anterior cruciate ligament transection(ACLT)was performed in the physiologic saline and sodium hyaluronate groups. At weeks 4 after operation, rabbits in the physiologic saline group were injected 0.3 mL physiologic saline and in the sodium hyaluronate group received 10 g/L sodium hyaluronate injection, once per week for 5 successive weeks. All the animals were sacrificed at week 10 after operation. The cartilage changes on the medial femoral condyles were graded separately VEGF express Jon of synovium was detected by using teal time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The macroscopic score showed that the cartilage degeneration in the physiologic sailne group was significantly more severe than that of the normal control and sodium hyaluronate groups(P<0 05)The expression of VEGF mRNA was obviously decreased in the physiologic saline group than that of the normal control group(P<0 05).of which was increased in thesodium hyaluronate group, but still smaller than the normal control group(P<0 05).The results demonstrated that the decreased VEGF expression in synovium may involved in the progression of osteoarthritis, and sodium hyaluronate has protective effect on articular cartilage by up-regulating the VEGF expression.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To evaluate objectively the traditional methods on the assessment of bladder outlet obstruction(BOO) due to BPH. Methods Correlation between the urodynamic findings and the traditional diagnostic parameters such as age,IPSS,Vp,Qmax z and PVRr was studied. The clinical prostatic score(CPS),derived from multiple regression of clinical parameters depending on URA,was evaluated. Results The parameters such as age,IPSS,Vp,Qmax z and PVRr were evaluated with reference to pressure flow study.Every parameter alone was not enough for BOO diagnosis. The regression equation was CPS=49.8-3.3 Qmax z+0.5 IPSS+0.2 Vp+7.5 PVRr.Correlation coefficient between CPS and urodynamic findings was 0.629 and was significantly higher than that of any clinical parameter alone. With CPS≥35,the sensitivity was 83.7% and specificity 85.8% for the diagnosis of BOO.With CPS
9.Investigation of the Health of Electronic Waste Treatment Workers
Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Objective To understand the health of the electronic waste (e-waste) treatment workers and the adverse effects of e-waste on the workers engaged in e-waste dismantlement. Methods Health states were assessed by questionnaire investigation on 226 e-waste dismantlement workers and 172 non e-waste dismantlement workers (control group). Results The prevalence rates of headache/vertigo(47.7%),tetter /itch (15.0%),nausea(11.1%),insomnia(9.7%),hypomnesia (5.3%),nasal obstruction(5.3%),and conjunctiva congestion(4.8%) in e-waste dismantlement workers were significantly higher than that in the control group, and it seemed that the severity of the symptoms was strongly related to the type of work.Furthermore, there was a tendency that rate of insomnia raised with the length of service in the circuit boards dismantlement group. Conclusion E-waste dismantlement will produce adverse effects on health of the employed workers.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
To investigate the mechanism of detrusor instability, using an apparatus to measure energy regulated tonicity and length of muscle strip in vitro , detrusor instability in bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) and spinal cord injuries (SCI) after pharmacological intervention was studied. The detrusor of both groups contracted under definite tension. Contraction of DI strips occurred under lower tension and under same tension the frequency of contraction was higher in DI detrusor than the normal one. There were no obvious changes when the detrusor strips were treated with M receptor antagonists, ATP or VIP. Muscarinic receptor agonist could increase the excitability of detrusor. The increase of detrusor excitability plays a major role in the occurrence of DI. The excitability is independent on neurogenic factors.
