4.Analysis on pathological changes of portal vein and hepatic artery in patient with cirrhotic portal hypertension
Chongqing Medicine 2017;46(20):2767-2769,2773
Objective To research the tissue structure changes of vessels wall in the patients with liver cirrhotic portal hypertension and to investigate the role of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in development process of liver cirrhosis. Methods The left portal vein, left hepatic artery and left hepatic vein (n=27) were collected from the patients with liver transplantation as the case group and the corresponding vessels of traumatic hepatectomy were collected as control group (n=15).HE staining and Masson staining were performed respectively. The hepatic arteries were stained with elastic fibers and immunized with anti-human iNOS polyclonal antibody. Results Compared with the control group, the portal vein intima and tunica media in the case group were thickened, the smooth muscle cells of tunica media were hyperplasia and hypertrophy, partial smooth muscle cells protruded into the intima;the irregular proliferation of hepatic arterial intima, arterial luminal stenosis, internal elastic membrane flatten, and even fracture, the tunica media smooth muscle hyperplasia to the intima were also observed;no obvious structural changes were observed in the hepatic vein wall. The higher expression of iNOS was found in the cytoplasm of hepatic artery smooth muscle cells (P<0.01).Conclusion The walls of liver artery and portal vein in the patients with liver cirrhosis would secondarily develop the tissue structure reconstruction, which is the results of human body′s own compensatory mechanism, the higher expression of iNOS accelerats the occurrence and development of the tissue structure reconstruction.
5.Manipulative reduction and external fixation with cardboard splint for the treatment of calcaneal fractures: a 60-case report.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2014;27(7):545-550
OBJECTIVETo investigate the therapeutic effects of manipulative reduction for calcaneal fractures.
METHODSFrom January 2009 to June 2012, 53 cases (60 affected feet) of Sanders type I-IV calcaneal fractures were treated by manipulative reduction and external fixation with cardboard splint, including 45 males and 8 females with an average age of (33.5 +/- 1.54) years old ranging from 18 to 65. The course of disease ranged 0.5 h to 7 d. Before treatment the feet were swelling, ache and activity limitation in evidence, some feet were wide flat deformity, the cortical bone was broken in the imaging examination. All selected cases were evaluated using Creighton-Nebraska health foundation assessment scale for fractures of calcaneus.
RESULTSAll cases were followed up at 12 months after treatment, 13 feet got excellent curative effect, 34 good, 11 moderate and 2 poor.
CONCLUSIONManipulative reduction for Sanders type I-IV calcaneal fractures could get excellent curative effect. Manipulative reduction for calcaneal fractures could avoid surgical trauma while assure high curative effects. Manipulative reduction is not only economical and easy therapy, but also can restore maximum function of the calcaneus with few complications and facilitate early rehabilitation of ankle and joint function.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2015;31(8):1151-1161
Different types of acids from fermentation environment or industrial microorganisms exist during fermentation process. Acids may inhibit growth and metabolism of industrial strains, namely acid stress. The tolerance mechanisms of acid stress include regulation of intracellular proton concentration, protection and restoration of intracellular macromolecules, changes in cell membrane composition and acid stress response at whole cell level. Screening and modification methods have been applied to improve acid-stress tolerance of industrial strains for decades. In this review, we provide insights into acid-stress tolerance of industrial microorganisms and address the modification of microbial pathways to improve acid-stress tolerance.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(35):6261-6266
BACKGROUND:Creation of a precise finite element model is an important basis for the finite element mechanical analysis of the spine. The reports on the precise finite element model are less.
OBJECTIVE:To create L 3-L 5 lumbar three-dimensional finite element model and validate this model with normal CT data.
METHODS:A 39-year-old male healthy volunteer with the height of 175 cm and weighted 65 kg was selected, then the L 3-L 5 lumbar spines were scanned with 16 row spiral CT to obtain 101 CT images with the thickness of 1.25 mm. Solid geometric model was established with Geomagic9.0 software, then determined the unit type,
divided the finite element mesh, and established the finite element model for loading and calculating.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A L 3-L 5 lumbar three-dimensional finite element model was established. It
included 213 736 nodes and 799 779 elements. The ranges of motion of L 3-L 4 and L 4-L 5 segments of the model were consistent with cadaveric biomechanical testing results, verified the effectiveness of the model, so the
model could be used for experimental research.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2005;0(12):-
6.2 mmol/L) who underwent renal transplantation accepted pravastatin therapy (10 mg, qn) for 8 weeks. The changes of total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) , triglyceride (TG), endothelin (ET) and nitrous oxide (NO) were measured before and after pravastatin treatment. By using high resolution ultrasound, endotheli-um-dependent relaxing function was measured before and post pravastatin treatment. Thirty people with normal blood cholesterol served as controls and subjected to the above examinations. Results In renal transplantation group, ET was significantly higher and NO significantly lower than in control group. After treatment with pravastatin, NO was significantly increased, while ET, TC, LDL-C and TG were significantly reduced. HDL-C was increased, but no significant difference was found. Flow-mediated vasodilations were greater after pravastatin treatment than before, but smaller than control group. Conclusion Pravastatin can theat dyslipidemia after renal transplantation and improve impaired endothelium-dependent vasodilation.
