Objective: To study 63 cases of nasal tumors treated by dermatologic surgery, and analyze their generality and characters. Methods: The cases were analyzed with SPSS 10.0 and SAS6.12. Results: The average age of the patients was 46.92?18.63.The number of man was about equal to that of women. Most cases were basal cell carcinoma (42.9%). Nevus came second (38.1%). The other cases were benign tumors. The distribution of operational locations showed the character of nasal surgery. Operations of Alar occupied 52.4%,22.2% were on the dorsal and 15.9% on the tip. Other locations occupied 9.5%. Cases of primary close occupied 69.8%. Cases applying complex close were 30.2%. Statistic analysis illustrated that primary close was different from complex close with distribution of operational locations. The area of defects between primary close and complex close was also different. At the same time, the differentiation of applying complex close was obvious between malignant tumors and benign tumors. Conclusion: Skin cancers and benign tumors usually occur on the nose, so it is very important to master the techniques of plastic surgery to repair the defects of nose, besides removing tumors perfectly by the classical way of dermatologic surgery, Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

Objective To study the modulation alterations of calcium activated potassium channel (Kca) and calcium activated chloride channels (Clca) on detrusor instability(DI) and their roles in DI. Methods The detrusor instability (DI) animal model was established using female Wistar rats. Detrusor strips were obtained from normal and DI rats. The contraction frequency and amplitude of the strips were measured by an in vitro tension test. The actions of channel openers and blockers were studied. Results Spontaneous contraction frequency and amplitude of DI increased significantly. The block of big conductance calcium activated potassium channel(Bkca) by Iberiotoxin resulted in decrease of frequency but increase of amplitude in the control, but only increase of frequency in DI. The opener, NS1619, resulted in decreases of frequency and amplitude in the control, but only decreases of frequency in DI. The block of small conductance Kca (Skca) by apamin resulted in increases of frequency and amplitude in both control and DI groups, but the opener, Chlorzoxazone, resulted in decreases of frequency and amplitude in the control, but only decrease of frequency in DI. The contraction alterations of DI were significantly lower than those of the control no matter Kca was blocked or opened. NFA, a selective Clca blocker, resulted in no significant frequency and amplitude alteration in the control, but significant decrease in DI. Conclusion These results suggested that Kca and Clca play a critical role in the modulation of detrusor contraction, and the down regulation of Kca and up regulation of Clca suggests that disorder of calcium related regulation may play an important role in DI.

Objective To study the different mRNA expressions of big and small conductance calcium activated potassium channels (Bkca and Skca), and calcium activated chloride channels (Clca) in normal and instable detrusors. Methods Model of bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) of female Wistar rats was prepared by ligating the proximal urethra in the perineum. Detrusor instability (DI) was confirmed by conscious cystometry. The mRNA was extracted from the detrusors of normal and DI rats for the detection of the expressions of Bkca, Skca2, Skca3, and Clca by RT PCR. The different channel expression between normal and instable detrusors was identified by gel imaging. Results The incidence of DI in BOO rats was 76.17%. Bladder capacity and the maximal detrusor pressure increased significantly ( P

Objective To observe the prokinetic effect of domperidone on esophagus and lower esophageal sphincter (LES), and compare its effect with that of mosapride and cisapride. Methods In vivo experiments: forty rats were divided into control, domperidone, mosapride, and eisapride groups. Strain gauges were planted in proximal esophagus, distal esophagus and LES to record the activities of esophagus and LES in conscious rat. In vitro experiments: in the thermostatic muscle bath, the prokinetic effect of domperidone, mosapride, and cisapride on the contractility of rat muscle strips from esophagus body and LES were recorded by tone-transducers. Results In vivo experiments, ① In the interdigestive period of resting conscious rats, only mild contraction activities were recoded in esophagus bodies. In LES, typical interdigestive migrating motor complex (MMC) with phase Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,and Ⅳ was recorded. The contraction amplitude of LES was much greater than esophagus body. ② Domperidone significantly enhanced the contraction of esophagus body and LES. The mean contraction amplitude of proximal esophagus, distal esophagus, and LES increased by 63.24%±7.17%, 75.54%±5.27%, and 85.81%±6.02%, respectively, compared with controls. The prokinetic effect showed a dose-effect relation. Mosapride at the same dosage increased the mean contraction amplitude of proximal esophagus, distal esophagus, and LES by 29. 71%±4.15%, 40.15%±3.30%, and 35.24%±5.36%, respectively, compared with controls. The prokinetic effects of mosapride on esophagus and LES were much less than domperidone. Cisapride at the same dosage increased the mean contraction amplitude of proximal esophagus, distal esophagus, and LES by 59.84%±6.55%, 70.11%±5.62%, and 75.13%± 5.10%, respectively, compared with controls. The prokinetic effects of cisapride were similar as domperidone. In vitro experiments. ① Domperidone perfusion could significantly increase the contraction of esophagus body and LES muscle strips by 87.74%±7.65% and 92.44±7.17%, respectively, compared with Krebs-Ringer (KR) solution perfuslon. Mosapride at the same dosage increased the mean contraction amplitude by 35.42%±5.02% and 31.12%±4.32%, respectively, compared with KR controls. The prokinetic effects of mosapride were much less than domperidone. Cisapride of the same dosage showed a similar prokinetic effect as domperidone. ② Atropine and tetrodotoxin could block the prokinetic effects of domperidone on esophagus and LES. Conclusions Domperidone can significantly enhance the esophagus body contraction and LES motility. The effects of domperidone are similar as cisapride and much greater than mosapride. The prokinetic effects of domperidone on esophagus and LES are not only through well-known dopaminergic receptor blockade, but also through the cholinergic nerves of the enteric nervous system.
