In this paper, the new progresses of the effectiveness of the methods for air purification and disinfection,including ventilation,ultrovialet disinfection,air filtration,chemical disinfection (ozone,formaldehyde,) are reviewed.
5.Level of granzyme B mRNA and perforin mRNA in urine and acute rejection of the transplanted kidney

Objective To evaluate the level of granzyme B mRNA and perforin mRNA in urine on the diagnosis of renal acute rejection. Methods A total of 34 cases of renal transplantation were studied.The urine samples were measured with the use of a competitive and quantitative polymerase-chain-reaction assay for granzyme B mRNA and perforin mRNA and the data were analysed by using the SPLM statistical software,mRNA levels were log-transformed. Results The levels of granzyme B mRNA and perforin mRNA in urine were higher in patients with acute rejection than in patients without acute rejection.The level of perforin mRNA in patients with acute rejection was (1.2?0.4)fg/?g of total RNA and in patients without acute rejection was (-0.6?0.3)fg/?g of total RNA (P
6.Clinical significance of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein and myocardial enzymes determination in patients with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia

Objective To investigate the clinical value of joint detection of procalcitoninl (PCT ) ,C-reactive protein (CRP) ,and myocardial enzymes in patients with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia .Methods 30 cases of each cause were included in the study ,which were neonatal hyperbilirubinemia caused by sepsis ,pneumonia ,ABO hemolytic and breast milk jaundice .20 cases of each cause were selected including neonatal hyperbilirubinemia caused by neonatal hepatitis and low birth weight infants .All the cases involved in the study were diagnosed .30 healthy full-term newborns in the same period were recruited as control group .PCT ,CRP and myocar-dial enzymes (AST ,CK ,CK-MB ,and LDH) concentration in serum were determined .Results Compared with the control group , CRP and PCT concentration increased significantly in bacterial infected group (P< 0 .05) .Myocardial enzyme concentration in-creased significantly both in infected group and non-infected group(P<0 .05) .Among myocardial enzymes ,CK-MB concentration increased significantly in bacterial infected group ,low birth weight infants group and ABO hemolytic group(P<0 .01) and increased significantly in breast milk jaundice group and hepatitis group (P<0 .05) .AST and LDH concentration increased very significantly in hepatitis group(P<0 .01) .The specificity of PCT in bacterial infected group was significantly higher than that of CRP (P<0 .05) ,while its sensitivity was significantly lower than that of CRP in pneumonia group (P<0 .01) .Conclusion Changes of PCT , CRP and myocardial enzymes concentration are related to the occurrence and development of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia ,determi-nation of these indicators can be complementary .
7.Effect of all-trans retinoic acid combined with trichostatin A on the nude mice bearing human follicular thyroid carcinoma

ObjectiveTo study the changes of iodine uptake of the follicular thyroid carcinoma cell line (FTC-133) and nude mice bearing human follicular thyroid carcinoma after the induction with alltrans retinoic acid (ATRA),trichostatin A (TSA) or ATRA combined with TSA.MethodsAfter the induction with ATRA,TSA,or ATRA combined with TSA in different concentrations for 96 h,the iodine uptake of FTC-133 cells was observed.The concentrations for different groups were as follows:ATRA 1.0 ×10-6 mol/L(Alow group),ATRA 1.0 × 10-4 mol/L(Ahigh group),TSA 1.65 ×10-7 mol/L(T group),Alow +T group,Ahigh +T group and ethanol (control group).Cell quantities and morphology were observed by HE staining.FTC-133 cells were subcutaneously injected into nude mice.Twelve nude mice were randomly divided into 4 groups after tumor formation:ATRA group (2 mg/kg,intragastric administration),TSA group (10 mg/kg,intraperitoneal injection),combined therapy group (ATRA + TSA,the same doses as above) and saline control group (10 ml/kg,intragastric and intraperitoneal administration,respectively).Drugs were administered to the tumor-bearing mice according to the mouse body mass daily.At the 22nd day,the tumor-bearing mice were injected with 37 MBq 131I intraperitoneally.The biodistribution of 131I and gamma imaging were performed at 4,6,12 and 24 h after the injection respectively.Histopathological examinations of the tumor samples were taken after imaging completion.The results were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) with SPSS 13.0.ResultsThe cellular iodine uptake were (23 885 ± 616.0 ) and ( 13 849 ±728.2) counts · min-1 · 10-6 cells in the Alow + T group and Ahigh + T group respectively,and the data were (985 ± 84.2) - ( 17 600 ± 782.7 ) counts · min-1 · 10-6 in the other groups ( F =600.879,P <0.001 ).The % ID/g of tumor at 6 h was 6.17 ±0.46 in the combined group and it increased to 9.34 ±0.61 at 12 h and 11.19 ± 0.98 at 24 h.The % ID/g of tumor in the other groups were from ( 1.97 ± 0.34)to (5.14 ± 0.65 ).The tumor qualities of the 4 groups were significantly different ( F =3.723,P < 0.05 ).ConclusionThe iodine uptake of the tumor could be enhanced in the tumor-bearing mice administered with ATRA combined with TSA,a potential way for treating follicular thyroid carcinoma.

10.Combination of transurethral resectoscope outer sheath and ueteroscopy in treatment of bladder stones ( report on 68 cases)

ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy and advantages through the combination of transurethral resectoscope outer sheath and ueteroscopy for treatment of bladder stones.MethodsThe Wolf F24 transurethral resectoscope was first placed in bladder to observe the lesions in 68 patients with bladder stones.With the moving out of the body and inner sheath,F8 ureteroscopy sheath was sent into the bladder through outer sheath,then,holmium laser lithotripsy was performed.ResultsSixty-eight patients got successful operations without postoperative stones residual,significant postoperative bleeding,urethral tear,bladder injury and infection complications. The gravel rate reached 100% 20 - 60 minutes ( 36.7 ± 5 ) min.ConclusionThe combination of transurethral resectoscope outer sheath and ueteroscopy is effective and safe for treatment of bladder stones.
