Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of three operative procedures, removal of armpit skin,minimally-invasive aspiration and small transverse incision in the treatment of osmidrosis. Methods Retrospective review was conducted in the treatment of osmidrosis for near ten years.Three methods were compared in the indication, feature and effectiveness. Results A total of 459 cases (123 males and 336 females) of osmidrosis were treated with the three methods.Satisfactory rates of the three methods were 98%,96% and 97%.respectively.Recurrence was found in 7 cases. Conclusions Modified procedure of minimally invasive aspiration has advantages of quick recovery, less complications and satisfactory results. It is the first choice for patients with mild and moderate osmidrosis.Bat for male patients with severe or recurred osmidrosis, treatments are surgical removal of the skin with armpit hairs and suture method.

Background Diabetic macular edema (DME) is one of serious ocular complications of diabetes mellitus and is often treated by laser photocoagulation, peribulbar injection of triamcinolone acetonide (TA) and intravitreal injection of ranibizumab. However, some adverse responses occur in each approach. To seek a safe, effective and ecnomic therapy for DME is of clinical significance. Objective This study was to observe the safety and efficacy of post-sclera injection of TA with a self-made innovative device for DME and compare the outcome with peribulbar injection of TA and the intravitreal injection of ranibizumab. Methods A prospective non-randomized controlled study was performed. This study protocol was approved by Ethic Committee of Southwest Hospital of Third Military Medical University and complied with Helsinki declaration.Written informed consent was obtained from each patient before any medical treatment.Sixty eyes of 60 patients with DME were included in Southwest Hospital of Third Military Medical University from March 2013 to July 2016.The eyes were divided into post-sclera injection group, peribulbar injection group and intravitreal injection group, with 20 eyes for each group.TA at the dose of 20 mg was injected via posterior sclera with a self-made divice in the post-sclera injection group and via periphery of eyeball in the peribulbar injection group, and 0.5 mg ranibizumab was intravitreally injected in the intravitreal injection group.Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was examined and retinal thickness at macular area was measured by OCT in 1 month and 3 months after injection respectively. The outcome and complication were grouply compared. Results The BCVA was significantly improved 1 month and 3 months after injection in comparison with before injection in the post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group, and BCVA in the post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group was superior to that in the peribulbar injection group (all at P =0.000).No significant difference was found in post-injected BCVA between post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group (P =0.244,0.397).Retinal edema at macular area was gradually disappeared in the post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group and that in the peribulbar injection group was still visible after injection. The retinal thickness at macula was (321.85±31.98),(382.75±39.28) and (315.75 ± 40.43) μm at 1 month and was (311.95±32.73),(393.65±33.84) and (302.65±38.99) μm at 3 months after injection in the post-sclera injection group, peribulbar injection group and intravitreal injection group respectively, and the retinal thickness values at macula in the post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group were significantly lower than those in the peribulbar injection group (all at P =0.000).The decrease rate of retinal thickness was higher in the post-sclera injection group and intravitreal injection group than that in the peribulbar injection group at various time points after injection (all at P<0.01).Conclusions The efficacy and safety of post-sclera injection of TA for DME are similar to intravitreal injection of ranibizumab, which are superior to peribulbar injection of TA.
3. Use of navigation technology in craniomaxillofacial surgery
Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2018;34(1):70-74
With the vigorous development of navigation technology in various fields of medicine, craniomaxillofacial surgery has also entered a new eraofusing navigation surgery. It has a wide range of applications, which can be used in the treatment of complicated facial fractures, osteotomy, cleft lip and palate and other aspects. The aim of this review is to summarize the principles, developments, applications of the navigation technology in craniomaxillofacial surgery.

Objective:To study the clinical manifestations and prognosis of patients with liver perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa). Methods:The clinical manifestations, imaging findings, pathological features, treatment and prognosis of 17 patients with liver PEComa managed in Shenzhen People's Hospital from September 2002 to January 2020 were retrospectively analysed. Results:The patient age of onset of liver PEComa was 22 to 54 years (average 34.8 years). There were 13 females and 4 males. 82%(14/17) of patients presented with no significant symptoms. 15/17 had solitary tumors. The diagnostic rate using preoperative B-ultrasound, CT and MRI was low. Postoperative pathological studies showed the tumor cells were mainly epithelioid cells with hyaline or eosinophilic cytoplasm. There were abundant blood vessels in the tumor tissues. Adipose tissues were also seen. Immunohistochemistry showed both HMB45 and Melan-A positivities to arrive at the diagnosis. All patients were treated with surgical resection. There were no recurrence, metastasis, or death on follow-up.Conclusion:Hepatic PEComa occurred more frequently in young women and it had no specific clinical manifestations. Except for a small number of tumors with adipose tissue detected on preoperative imagings, this tumor was difficult to diagnose, or even be suspected on preoperative imagings. Pathological examination combined with immunohistochemistry after surgery established the diagnosis. Surgery resulted in good prognosis.

Objective:To investigate outcomes and safety of doxycycline-moxifloxacin sequential regimen in the treatment of Mycoplasma genitalium urethritis/cervicitis. Methods:From June 2019 to December 2020, patients with Mycoplasma genitalium urethritis/cervicitis confirmed by nucleic acid amplification testing were successively recruited at Department of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Hospital of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and received sequential therapy with oral doxycycline for 7 days followed by oral moxifloxacin for 7 days. Clinical and/or etiological assessment was conducted 2 to 3 weeks after the end of treatment. Fisher′s exact test was used to analyze factors influencing the treatment outcome. Results:Totally, 36 eligible subjects were enrolled, including 30 males and 6 females. Among them, 18 (50%) patients completed post-treatment etiological assessment, which showed that 12 achieved microbiological cure, and treatment failures occurred in 6; another 18 patients achieved clinical cure. The overall response rate to doxycycline-moxifloacin sequential therapy was 83.3% (30/36, 95% confidence interval[ CI]: 70.5%, 96.1%) . The treatment outcome showed no significant association with the patients′ age, gender, marital status, number of sexual partners in the past 1 month, history of sexually transmitted diseases, history of antibiotic use in the past 1 month, or co-infections (all P > 0.05) . Conclusion:The efficacy of doxycycline-moxifloacin sequential regimen is limited in the treatment of Mycoplasma genitalium infections in Nanjing area, and clinicians should be alerted to the possibility of treatment failure in clinical practice.
