Objective: To establish a method for quality control of chitosan hemostatic Sponge. Methods: To study the indentification of chitosan , Lidocaine Hydrochloride ,Norfloxacin and inspect the suction water of sponge. Extracting Lidocaine Hydrochloride and Norfloxacin with acid and alkali then determining the content of them by spectrophotometic method. Results: The indetification experiment showed a good result . The suction water of sponge outstripped more than 20 times. The average content of Lidocaine Hydrochloride was 9.55mg/g ,Norfloxacin was 8.46mg/g. The average recovery of Lidocaine Hydrochloride and Norfloxacin was 97.9% and 96.5%. Conclusion: This method can be used to establish the quality control of chitosan hemostatic sponge.

Objective:To study the relationships of portal hypertensions to vasoactive substances-angiotensin(AT-Ⅱ)in cirrhosis patients.Methods:48 patients with liver cirrhosis(LC)(including 18 patients with compensated LC and 30 patients with decompensated LC) and 32 normal controls(NC) were studied. Color duplex doppler ultrasonography was used to study portal venous and splenic venous blood flow(PVBF and SVBF).Also,the blood concentration of AT-Ⅱ was detected.Then,analyze the correlation between PVBF and SVBF to AT-Ⅱ.Results:Portal hyperdynamic exists in cirrhosis patients from beginning to the end. Low level of AT-Ⅱ in compensated LC patient has no relation with portal hyperdynamic, high level of AT-Ⅱ in decompensated LC has positive relation with portal hyperdynamic.Conclusion:This study has directed significance of clinical treatment and diagnosis.

Objective To observe the effect of Yiqi Huoxue Recipe on the expression of TGF-?1 and ?-IFN in rats with radiation-induced lung injury in different radiation time, and discuss the prevention and curative effect of Yiqi Huoxue Recipe and its possible action mechanism. Methods One hundred and twenty Wistar rats were randomly allocated into irradiation group (n =30), irradiation with Yiqi Huoxue Recipe-treated group (n =30), irradiation with ambroxol-treated group (n =30) and normal control group (n =6). The former three groups were irradiated at right hemithorax with a dose of 30 Gy (5 Gy per week). Animals were followed for 26 weeks after the first irradiation. The levels of serum TGF-?1 and ?-IFN of 6 rats in each group were assayed by ELISA at the end of 4th, 6th, 8th, 12th and 26th week after the first irradiation. Results In Yiqi Huoxue Recipe-treated group, the levels of serum TGF-?1 were significantly lower from the 4th week than that of the irradiation group (P0.05). Conclusion Yiqi Huoxue Recipe can inhibit the excretion of TGF-?1 and promote the excretion of ?-IFN. It suggested that Yiqi Huoxue Recipe might play an important role in the prevention and curation of radiation-induced lung injury.

Objective: To investigate the extravasate sponging and hemostatic property of chitosan hemostatic sponge on the wound of otic vein of rabbit, and its healing effect on the scald of rabbit skin, for clinical application. Methods: Lacerating the otic vein of rabbit with bistoury and promptly pressing the wound with chitosan hemostatic sponge, gelatin sponge or gauze, respectively, the hemostatic effect was observed by uncovering each 30 seconds. Spreading chitosan hemostatic sponge, gelatin sponge or gauze, respectively, on the scalds of rabbit skin, the decrustation (pulling off scab) was observed within 10 days. Objective To investigate the methods for emergency treatment of open tibial fractures of type ⅢB. Methods From February 1999 to February 2002, 16 cases of open tibial fractures of type ⅢB (age range: 19 47 years; average age: 27 years; the skin defect area: 4.5cm ?3cm-14cm ?6cm) were treated with administration of antibiotics, debridement, stabilization by unreamed locking intramedullary nails, and finally transfer or transplantation of cutaneous or musculo cutaneous flaps. Autografting from the iliac crest was done for 4 cases with bone defects. Results The follow ups averaged 9 months (ranging from 6 months to 14 months). The survival rate of flaps was 100%and all were free of deep infection. All fractures healed within 6 months in 14 patients and within 10 months in 2 patients. According to the Johner Wruchs method, the functions of ankle and knee were excellent in 14 cases, and good in 2 cases. Conclusion Emergency management of open tibial fractures of type ⅢB with unreamed locking intramedullary nails and skin flap grafting results in good outcome.

Objective To investigate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) on the diagnostic efficacy of ultrasound-guided percutaneous biopsy of peripheral lung lesions. Methods Ninty-six patients with pleural-based lesions underwent percutaneous ultrasound-guided biopsy. Of the 96 patients,54patients underwent CEUS before biopsy and enhancement information was referred for the selecting of tissue sampling site. The rest of 42 patients didn' t undergo CEUS before biopsy. The difference in the diagnostic accuracy between the two groups was analyzed to evaluate the value of CEUS before biopsy.Results Of the 52 patients in the CEUS group,48 were malignant,and 6 were benign. Of the 42 patients in the un-CEUS group,36 were malignant, and 6 were benign. Necrosis (areas lacking of enhancement) was demonstrated in 41.7％ (20/48) of the patients with malignant lesions in CEUS group, and necrosis incidence was increased with the increase of the dimension of the malignant lesions. No necrosis area was demonstrated in 6 benign lesions. The rate of successful initial biopsy in CEUS group (98.1 ％ ,53/54) was statistically higher than that in un-CEUS group ( 85.7％, 36/42 ) ( P ＜ 0.05 ). Tissue necrosis and denaturalization attributed to most of the inconclusive pathologic diagnosis. Conclusions CEUS before transthoracic peripheral lung lesion biopsy improved the diagnostic accuracy of the procedure by providing information for differentiating viable or necrotic tissue and consequently provide more accurate information about the site of biopsy.

Objective To investigate the appearance and characteristics of hepatic tuberculosis lesions on low mechanical index contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Methods Eight patients with hepatic tuberculosis lesions were studied with conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Lesions,distribution.size,echogenieity,blood flow,enhancement phase,enhancement patterns and intensity were studied. ResuIts Fifteen lesions were found in eight patients. On conventional ultrasound,mean size of the lesions was(21.7±10.7)mm×(30.3±22.4)mm,and 66.7%(10/15)lesions located under liver capdule,and 33.3%(5/15)were in hepatic parenchyma.All lesions were hypoechoic except the largest one (50 mm x 102 mm)which demonstrated heterogeneous.Doppler signals were not demonstrated in all 15 lesions.After administration of SonoVue,satisfied image data were obtained in 13 lesions for aterial phase,and 15 lesions for portal venous phase and parenchyma phase.84.6%(11/13)of the lesions demonstrated hyperenhancing on aterial phase,mean enhancing start time was(8.6±1.6)s,ranging from 5 s to 10 s.and mean enhancing end time was(25.6±2.8)s,ranging from 20 s to 29 s. Of 13 lesions,6 lesions demonstrated circle periphery hyper-enchanCement,5 lesions demonstrated whole hyper-enchancement,and 2 lesions appeared hypoenhancement on arterial phase. All lesions demonstrated either hypoenhancing or non-enhancement on portal venous phase and parenchyma phase. Conclusions Low mechanical index contrast-enhanced ultrasound can reveal the blood flow status of hepatic tuberculous lesions and will facilitate the diagnosis of hepatic tuberculosis.
