Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2015;(6):522-524
Objective To investigate the value of three-dimensional color power angio(3D-CPA)in the prenatal diagnosis of pernicious placenta previa (PPP ) with placenta increta. Methods The ultrasonographic findings of PPP with placenta increta diagnosed in our hospital by 2D-CDFI and 3D-CPA were reviewed and compared with pathologic histology examination. For each of the two imaging methods, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and prenatal diagnose accordance rate were summarized. Results For 3D-CPA,sensitivity,specificity and positive predictive value were 91.1%,88.9% and 93.3%, respectively. The results of 3D-CPA were higher than those in 2D-CDFI (sensitivity 76.4%,specificity 66.7%,positive predictive value 81.5% ),and were statistically significant (P <0.05 ).The diagnose accordance rate of 3D-CPA was statistically higher than that of 2D-CDFI (90.4% vs 73.0%;P <0.05). Conclusions 3D-CPA can display abnormal vascular reconstruction between the placenta and uterine wall from various angles, and is more accurate than 2D-CDFI.3D-CPA plays an important role in the prenatal diagnosis of PPP with placenta increta.

A new and effective method to produce transgenic animals was established. Without a surgical incision, the recombinant plasmid containing green fluorescence protein (GFP) cDNA was repeatedly injected into male mouse testis at multi-sites. After few weeks of the final injection, the injected male was mated with normal oestrus female to produce transgenic mice. The presence of the GFP cDNA in F1 transgenic individuals were detected by polymerase chain reaction and Southern blot hybridization, which showed that the transgenic rate of mouse F1 offspring was 41%. The transferred gene was integrated into the host genome and could be transmitted to its offspring. When the positive F1 individuals were mated with the wild type ICR mice, the F2 individuals had a transgenic rate of 37%. The results indicate that the high efficiency of gene transfer and the limited number of manipulations make the method suitable for creating a large number of transgenic animals, especially, for producing domestic animals.

Purpose:To investigate fMRI and DTI in the assessment of cortical visual impairment in children with periventricular leukom-alacia ( PVL).Materials and Methods: Twenty-four children with PVL were enrolled.Meanwhile,24 age-matched normal controls were recruited for comparison.fMRI scan was performed using a 3.0T MR scanner.Data analysis was performed by statistical parametric mapping software (SPM2).Activated voxels were identified in both groups,t test was used for statistical analysis.DTI was performed by MedlNRIA software and DTI color maps were created from fractional anisotropy (FA) values and the three vector elements,FA values on diffusion tensor color maps were compared between the patients and the controls.AH the FA values of these WM fibers were analyzed by paired t test. The correlation was calculated between FA values and activated voxels of visual cortex for PVL children using SPSS10.0.Results: In all 24 normal children, the maximum response of blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) signal was located in the primary visual cortex ( PVC).However, some of the 24 cases of PVL had deviated activation. The active voxels of patients in visual cortex were less than that of controls. All 24 cases of PVL showed a significant mean FA reduction in ICPL and PTR in comparison to the ipsilateral regions of healthy controls. The significantly positive correlation was shown between FA values and activated voxels of visual cortex for PVL children. Conclusion:fMRI and DTI play an important role in the assessment of cortical visual impairment in children with PVL.

Objective To explore the effect of jejunostomy in radical operation of esophageal cancer through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision. Methods A total of 90 esophageal cancer patients who had undergone radical resection through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision were retrospectively analyzed, among whom 50 cases used enteral nutrition via jejunostomy (jejunostomy group) and 40 cases via naso- intestinal tube (naso- intestinal tube group). The operation time, hospitalization time after operation, retention time of tube, complication and nutritional status after operation were compared between 2 groups. Results There were no statistical differences in the operation time and hospitalization time after operation between 2 groups (P>0.05). All the patients of 2 groups could tolerate the enteral nutrition. The retention time of tube in jejunostomy group was significantly longer than that in naso- intestinal tube group jejunostomy: (18.08 ± 9.28) d vs. (14.85 ± 4.59) d, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the albumin before operation between 2 groups (P>0.05). The albumin after 1 week′s enteral nutrition in jejunostomy group was significantly higher than that in naso-intestinal tube group:(30.99 ± 2.79) g/L vs. (29.72 ± 3.16) g/L, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05). During the period of observation, the patients of naso-intestinal tube group had different degrees of nasopharyngeal region discomfort. The incidences of tube obstruction/ tube shedding and the complication in jejunostomy group were significantly lower than those in naso-intestinal tube group: 0 vs. 10% (4/40) and 18% (9/50) vs. 50%(20/40), and there were statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusions Jejunostomy is a safer and more effective nutrient method in radical operation of esophageal cancer through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision.

Objective To investigate the application value of 3D arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion imaging for patients with unilateral carotid stenosis or occlusion. Methods Cervical MRA and cerebral 3D ASL were performed on 36 consecutive patients with unilateral carotid stenosis diagnosed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA).The consistency of degree of stenosis between cervical MRA and DSA was analyzed.36 patients were divided into mild, moderate and severe groups by degree of stenosis, which was based on the DSA result.Variance analysis of cerebral blood flow (CBF) unilateral and contralateral changes were performed on three different groups.Patients with severe stenosis, diagnosed by DSA,were divided into symptomatic group and asymptomatic group.Analysis was carried out on unilateral and contralateral change differences between symptomatic group and asymptomatic group. Results There was no statistical significance between MRA and DSA in the cervical artery stenosis degree (kappa> 0.75,P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in CBF unilateral and contralateral changes between mild group and moderate group (P>0.01).There was statistical difference in CBF unilateral and contralateral changes between severe group and other two groups (P<0.01).There was statistical difference in CBF unilateral and contralateral changes between symptomatic group and asymptomatic group (P<0.01).Conclusion 3D ASL as a safe,non-invasive,repeatable method, are meaningful for cerebral hemodynamics evaluation in patients with unilateral carotid stenosis.
